Great BBQ Restaurant where you can eat a buffet (which includes drink and dessert) or an individual plate. Family style setting with a log cabin building and a train that goes around for the children's entertainment. We have a take out menu for family meals, tailgating, parties or whatever the occasion. We specialize in catering for any occasion. We have Pork, Chopped Chicken, Fried Chicken and Ribs with a number of sides to choose from. During the Holidays we offer packages with Turkey and Ham. We have five different sauces to choose from as well.

My family and I have been here about a dozen times now, and the food is consistently great. The staff keeps everything at the buffet spotlessly clean, immediately wiping any drips, spills, or crumbs. Waitstaff patrol the seated guests asking if anything is needed. It's "next level" service. There's a lunch discount during the week, and drinks and dessert are included. You must try the sweet potatoes!

I am perplexed by the poor reviews here. We have lived in the area for over 12 years and this is one of our preferred restaurants. When out of state family & friends come to visit they always want to go to Mutt's. Everyone we have taken there has liked it. We have never had any problems with the staff and a couple of the accusations I have read in reviews here are incredibly difficult for me to believe. There are always 2 sides to every story and I suspect some important details have been left out of the reviews. I am in no way connected to the people who own the restaurant or the employees.
My only complaint and the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that for those of us who only eat one normal plate of food and prefer to drink water it is a bit overpriced. They used to charge a fee for the buffet and a separate fee for a drink and then a couple of years ago they raised the price of the buffet by $2-3 and included the drink. So, since then we have been forced to pay for a drink we do not want.

The BBQ at this place was absolutely delicious. We will definitely go back. We had the buffett. The buffet included an array of BBQ Baby Back fall off the bone ribbs and chicken, several different vegetables and side dishes including hush puppies that were very popular so much so that they kept running out. There also was a dessert bar with pudding, cookies, ice cream and peach cobbler. It was all very delicious. We can't wait to go back. Drinks and dessert were included with the buffet. It only cost $12 per person. So very worth every penny.

We took our family to eat here Saturday afternoon. They kept running out of everything on the buffet. There was a long line for the buffet and when you get up there, where would be nothing left. They would put out a new tray of food, and then fill containers for take out and then nothing would be left for the people in line. It was way to crowded. They need to limit the number of customers for eat in, you could not move at all to get out of your seat or to the buffet. If there is not enough food for the customers who have already paid, then don't take new orders for carryout. I asked the managers (a lady and man that seemed to be in charge) about the food and they were very rude. That was the $100 wasted and our family left unhappy .

Anyone that has ever smoked meat will for sure appreciate this place. Their spare ribs are fall off the bone tender, and their pulled pork begs to be made into a sandwich. The sides are in a league of their own, they are like Grandma use to make, Plus the price is great, 2 buffets with 2 drinks $25. You will not go wrong here

We had the worst customer service EVER!!! Before we ever placed our order. Upon entering the restaurant there were two ladies waiting, and no one at the register. So we asked if they had been helped. One lady replied they won’t take our to go order. We have to wait until there is no one on the dine in side. Five groups have already placed orders while we’ve waited simply because they were dining in. So we asked the cashier to please take their order ahead of ours. The cashier responded that she wouldn’t. At that time a young guy came from the back and started SCREAMING at us that it took 4 hours to cook and that HE WOULD NOT take their order, only dine in. One lady said she was calling the owner to which he yelled again and said he didn’t care. And motioned there was the door to leave. And we walked out right behind her. Just made me a Smokey Dreams customer!

I LOVE real South Carolina BBQ and I was excited when I saw this BBQ joint while passing through Greer. Unfortunately, it was the worst experience. The BBQ is just plain BAD--no flavor, not authentic, and everything was cold. The staff was very mean and rude. I wanted to say something about the food being cold, but the staff was so vicious, I decided to just eat my cold food and stay silent. My kids and wife also hated the experience. We will never ever go back!

I have visited several states in my life, have tried different bbq styles and this place is the most consistent gem of the South. Its always buffet but they offer different daily specials. Their buffet is always fresh and clean. Love their food in general and their sauces! So good!

This place is amazing. It looks very average on the outside but the food is next level. I always stop by when I’m in the area for work. It’s buffet style, but the food is amazing and constantly fresh! It’s a great way to sample and try lots of Southern food! They have everything you could imagine and one of the best places to eat in South Carolina. If you’re traveling in the South it’s a great way to try all the southern foods! People are also very friendly and helpful! They have a few other locations and they’re all equally amazing. Cannot recommend this place enough!!!

Mutts is one of my favorite places to eat in Greer. The food on the buffet always is fresh and is always consistent from visit to visit.
I would like to eat hear every week but would probably be 100 pounds over weight.
My favorite is the fried chicken and the ribs. Always nice to go on a Friday and enjoy a seafood meat.
You will leave more than full everytime. You simply can’t go wrong eating at Mutts.

We look forward to coming to Mutts in Greer. Seems they just keep getting better. My wife loves the Chicken and we have heard others comment about the Chicken. I personally don't go to BBQ place for chicken. Pick out nice tender ribs and smother them in sauce, GREAT! It is buffet style, you can choose pulled pork and they have buns on the buffet, make yourself a delicious pork sandwich (don't forget to put on the sauce when you get back to the table. Nice atmosphere with running G scale train. This is a fun place, lunch or dinner CLOSED MONDAY

Really, now average to very good. This has been one of our favorite restaurants but last couple of months some food items have been disappointing. Usually my wife and I love the Brunswick Stew but last several months just average. Instead of baby shrimp they had pollock. Food was warm but nothing hot... and etc. I hope it's not going down hill like so many others have. Of course, like so many others the price keeps going up. Senior lunch price for 2 was over $28.

First time I ate inside. I had no idea they offered so much food and all of it was excellent.
I will definitely take my grandkids there the next time they come to visit. There is something for just about everyone.
