Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I've lived in Greer since 2012, and have always enjoyed Vitto's, but my family and I will NEVER give our business to this establishment again. My oldest daughter called to order 2 14" pizzas and while she was ordering the man sneezed SEVERAL times. Instead...of making a big deal about she said bless you and said, "don't sneeze on my pizza" in a jovial manner. He then refused service. Even if my daughter was being serious, she was well within her rights to say something. Save yourself the hassle and just go to Dellaventura's Ristorante and Pizza.More

I used to rave about Vito's. Been going there for years but when Vito sold the place, the food sadly started to diminish. But the pizza was always great until now .... Went there and was looking forward to a great pizza but was sadly...disappointed. They switched sauces to a bland, watery sauce. So all there is left is a crust and cheese. Even my wife, who isn't from NY, agreed it wasn't worth the money. I'm from NY and KNOW pizza. I grew up on it. This is not even decent pizza anymore. Sorry but I won't go back. Have to travel to Della Ventura's from now on.More

This is the best Italian food in all of Greer! The pizza is outstanding and there is no lack of cheese! The staff is super friendly and the place is clean.

I’ve been a fan of Vito’s since I moved here in ‘06. Authentic Italian food at reasonable prices. I’ve seen the family in there working and taking care of people many times over the years. Our most recent visit was one for the books. We...ordered online and got a pizza for myself and a pasta dish for the girlfriend along with mozzarella sticks and a dessert. The entire encounter left us disappointed. We arrived and walk up to the counter where a woman (Lori, an owner, if I’m not mistaken) was sitting playing on her phone. She quickly asked what we’d ordered and directed other staff to the order which was waiting for us. She quickly sat back down and buried herself in her phone again. I explained to one gentleman that I’d forgotten to specify the salad dressing and he was quick to ask which one we’d like. He disappeared to the back and I start looking through the bag…..no salad. I look at the ticket and see “no salad” and get Lori’s attention and inform her that I somehow had mistakenly selected no salad. She looks up, says “yup” and continues on her phone. That’s it? I mistakenly select to get no salad and you have nothing? Wow. I sarcastically said, okay and we walked out. She never looked up as I watched her reflection in the window. The food was our next disappointment. The mozzarella sticks were actually pretty good but the marinara was watery. For a pizza sauce it might be okay but it doesn’t cling to a mozzarella stick so all you get is slightly damp breading. My pizza was merely okay, nothing notable about it. My girlfriend’s pasta was lacking. She offered for me to try it and I agreed that something was missing. It seemed that they simply took a hunk off something from the fridge and quickly reheated it. The dessert was an item they call “zaps” which are little fried dough balls sprinkled with powdered sugar and a little cup of chocolate dipping sauce on the side. While they were a bit chewy, I’ll attribute that to them sitting in a little box for a while. The sauce was straight up Hershey’s syrup in a cup. Given the mediocre food and astonishingly poor service coming from one of the owners themselves, I can no longer recommend this restaurant. If the owners give this level of indifference, it seems the bar has been set very low.More

So much for making your patrons feel welcome. The owner, I presume, immediately initiated an argument over my Biden mask. He really didn't seem to want our business and given his attitude we were happy to oblige him and take our business elsewhere. We always...enjoyed this little spot but unfortunately we won't be back.More

We are always in search of these hidden gems. Vito's was just that. We met our daughter for dinner there and have to admit, it exceeded our expectations. Although it is not fine dining the food more than made up for that. It has a...casual and laid back vibe which gives it that neighborhood place you want to go to every week. My husband and daughter shared a pizza which was great. I had the special of baked Ziti which came with a side salad. I was only able to eat 1/4 of the ziti. The rest I took home for dinner the next night and still had some left over. So big bang for the buck. It was worth the drive for us, we will be going back.More

The service is stellar! The owner, Vito, takes time to ensure that the items that you order are to your liking. He accommodates and makes the item as you prefer. The crust is outstanding. Generous portions and tasty food.

We were helping a friend pack up to move to smaller place. A friend sent pizza over so we didn’t have to stop our work. I had never eaten there before. It was very good and priced well.

Stopped here based upon siri’s recommendation based upon reviews for pizza places in the area. Ordered an all meat pizza and had to wait a while due to the # of call orders for pickup (it was a Friday night). Place is rather small with...lots of older pictures of Italian movies. Didn’t give me a very clean/modern vibe and it seems like the wine displays were an afterthought. The pizza was average. Good amount of cheese, toppings and sauce but we felt the crust was a little soggy and the bacon had an off flavor.More

Normally, I go to Vito's for pizza only. At home I cook Neapolitan style. This time we went there to try something else. Wow!!! Were we surprised. I ordered the Frutti de Mare. It came piping hot in a huge bowl which looked like it...was for two people. Everything was fantastic! The shrimp and especially the calamari were cooked exactly right, not too much nor too little. Now the sauce (gravy to Italians), was superb, flavorful with just a hint of spice, not enough to destroy the taste yet enough to leave the taste buds know it was there. The linguine was just perfect, al dente. This is Sicilian at it's best! I ended up finishing the whole bowl. I couldn't stop. My wife ordered the Tizio Delight. Again a large roll. She also planned to take some home but couldn't stop eating it until it was gone. Now I've read some comments that service is slow. This is not McDonald's or Domino's. Each dish is prepared for you and cooked fresh. It isn't taken out of a refrigerator and warmed. Of course it takes time. If you want fast, go to the freezer section of a supermarket and nuke something. This is a Ristorante even though it a called a pizzeria.More

It’s hard to find real pizza around here. I’m from up north so I like a thin crust slice you can fold. My daughter had the kids size and it was perfect and I split the 14 inch with my brother. It was delicious. Don’t...expect it to come out right away because they actually cook it for you. If you want fast pizza, go to Little Caesars. I had no idea this place was here and I’ll definitely be back.More

We have not been able to find a real good pizza...shop until yesterday. Vito's we be getting all my business from now on. The service was excellent and the pizza was GREAT, it reminded me of being back home. We found our new pizza shop.More

1.0 star rating 6/4/2017 Today was our second time eating at Vito's. the food is good, but the service was not so good. The first time we ate there the food was brought out one at a time, not all together. Today we ordered a...deli calzone, pepperoni calzone and two lasagna dinners, one to be split. The waiter brought out two dishes and said this is the lasagna and pepperoni calzone. The "lasagna" was chicken and the pepperoni calzone was the deli calzone. (We think we got another tables order, and there were only two other tables of people at the time). We sent the chicken back and a few minutes later he brought out the pepperoni calzone and the split lasagna. Someone (I think the manager) came out to see if everything was correct this time and we told him we were still missing a lasagna. Well, apparently the waiter only put in for one lasagna, so we had to wait for them to cook the second lasagna. When we got it everyone else was finished with their meal. By the time we were through we were given the bill for $50 and change. They didn't even offer a discount for the issues we had. So, we will NOT be back!!!!!More
