This place has changed. No more ziti Stufati on the menu. Other things removed. Not sure if restaurant has different owners but disappointed.

Unfortunately, Della Venturas has been poorly run lately. They say it has been due to staffing issues but there are posts all over Facebook about people applying and being told they are not hiring. Clearly something else is happening that is causing the restaurant to...close. The wait time is always longer than they tell you. The food in the past has been worth it but the customer service issues have finally made me not willing to go back. Most of the time it takes at least ten minutes for a waitress to come to the table after you are finally sat. It also takes forever to get your check when you are ready to pay. Saturday, I received an email from marketing around 5 pm trying to get you to place a “To Go” order. At 6:30 pm I clicked on it and the restaurant wasn’t listed. I then called to place the order. No one would answer the phone. So I drove there only to be told they no longer were taking “To Go” orders. The least they could do would be to put a recording on that said that so people do not waste there time. Tonight, I was told the wait was 30 min. We waited 50 min for a table. Finally we were sat at a table only to wait another 10 minutes for the waitress to come to our table. When she finally did we tried to order only to be told they no longer serve angel hair pasta which is the only pasta that actually works well with the menu item I order. The menus were all the same so had no indication during my hour wait that I wouldn’t be able to order what I always order. So after wasting an hour we left. Very sad because it could be a great restaurant.More

Been frequenting this restaurant for more than 13 years and tonight has been the worst. Joe made this place spectacular, the staff now just doesn't care. 1 1/2 hours waiting on a pizza and a simple lasagna with salads. Staff on their cell phones ,...walking around , not paying the customers any attention. 1 hour in and they came out and said short handed in the kitchen. Saw at least 12 staff walking around. This is not how Joe does it . Dissatisfied totallyMore

It was my wife's 80th birthday and we had planned a family gathering at another restaurant. Unfortunately, that restaurant was closed on Tuesdays so Della Ventura was plan B. I will say that we weren't disappointed. We had family from California and New York. It...was a great choice as the food was excellent and the service was way above par. Although they don't take reservations, we were seated within a half hour. The waitress was exceptional. She took all the orders and never made one mistake. This is rare. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Glad we had a plan B. Maybe it was better than plan A. The waitress even took time to take our pictures.More

Excellent pizza and traditional Italians dishes. Try the garlic bread for appetizer and limoncello cake. It has a looonnngg line to get seated, but it's worth it

My wife and I went to Dellaventura's for the first time last night! A wonderful experience! Every employee, from the host, the server , food runner and busser were so friendly and welcoming! The food was fantastic! We especially enjoyed the Calamari, the nice cold...salads, Chicken Marsala, and the Cannoli was absolutely the best I have ever had!More

We have been eating dinner at Della’s since it opened. Great, fast service and friendly! Great for families and kids. I love the pizza, lasagna and shrimp scampi! Garlic knots are great too! You get large portions for what you pay. The flavor is not...missing in their sauce. If I ask for extra garlic I can get that here! Best shrimp scampi in the upstate! No reservation required.More

When We couldn't et into our favorite Italian/Greek Restaurant just down the street we tried Dellaventura's. "Not our first time- we went there about 2 years ago." The food was horrible and the portion size was way to large. I ordered Ziti with meat sauce....Sauce. Sauce taste was as if it had been thickened with cornmeal ! There were four of us and none of us said we enjpyed the meal or would ever return.More

We have frequented Joes place until they're probably sick of us. We go there almost every Friday night for dinner. The menu is outstanding. We love the pizza which is hand tossed. We love the lasagna and the pastas and will do dog tricks for...the Chicken Piccata although there is never a bad offering of anything at this special place. Whatever you do, please do NOT ask for Jessica on a Friday evening, because she is the best waitress we've ever had anywhere and we'll fight you for one of her tables!More

On July 30th I ordered 2 Calzones. One with spinach and jalapenos, the other with meatballs and jalapenos. The Menu Clearly states "2 toppings included, additional $1.50". I was charged $1.50 for each toppings or an additional $6.00. I showed the employee, whom told me...that each topping was extra. The Calzones were good, but I certainly didn't like being Overcharged. I doubt we will ever return. Look at the menu for yourself. Let's see if the management reads this one. Customer Beware!!!More

First time eating here since we moved backed to Greenville. 7 of us had dinner and I can only comment on my dish and my wife’s. She and my daughter ordered chicken and veal piccata which the kitchen failed to deliver with our other meals....When they’re meals did arrive 20 minutes later both ladies said they were hot and delicious.i ordered veal Parmesan which was probably the worst veal Parm I have ever been served. My wife and I have traveled all over the world and Have eaten our way through Italy on many trips abroad. I am Italian, my family coming from Padova and Venice. I am also a retired restauranteur and know my way around the commercial kitchen. My salad consisted of iceberg lettuce, two chunks of tomato and two stands of onion. My veal was encased in a mushy (almost muddy) breading which was disgusting. The veal was over cooked to the point were it was turned into a flat leathery uncuttable slab so hard and tasteless I gave up trying to eat it after jus two bites. I had my wife taste it while she waited for her meal, her wince of disgust said it all. The thin spaghetti was covered with crumbled meatballs (I had asked for meat sauce this my friends is not meat sauce) and not enough marinara which was also without much flavor. As you can see in the picture, I tried to scrap off the yucky mushy breading and cut through the overcooked leathery veal but I gave up. As for the spaghetti, well that to was inedible too. I did not complain since my brother in law was graciously taking us all out for dinner, I just pushed the mess away and had chocolate cake for desert. I will never be back. Not recommended.More
