Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The food was very tasty until I saw something black sticking up out of my chicken salad I was eating. I pulled it with my fingers. It was a hair. It wasn’t from me or my mother in law. Shorter and dark like a man’s...hair maybe but definitely hair. I called the waitress over who was extremely nice. She put it in a paper towel and went and showed it to the cooks or ladies up front…anyway. Mistakes happen. I understand that. But what got me was nobody other than that poor waitress came to my table and apologized or anything. All I wanted was acknowledgment that it was unsanitary and sorry that I took bites all around chicken salad with someone else’s DNA in it. I didn’t eat much after that. The food I ate was tasty. I didn’t get my over $18 buffet price worth of food after the hair incident. Just turned off. Then I ask for a to go cup for my leftover drink and told they don’t have to go cups. With an over $23 lunch with my tip and they don’t have a styrofoam cup with a lid? Don’t know if I will ever go back. We even walk out the door. All the ladies up front never said anything about the hair. I would never write a bad review for a place that tries. They didn’t care. If that had been my restaurant I would have came out to the customer and apologized bc that’s pretty gross. The positives is the food tasted good, the restroom was clean, and waitress was great. A black coarse hair sticking up out of your chicken salad…not so much! Sorry Green Tomatoes. I wouldn’t have made this review if you would have tried to at least come tell me sorry!More

I wasted my money. I pulled a plastic strip out of my mashed potatoes. After that I wasn't interested in anything they had to offer. So disappointed,I won't be making a return visit.

I had heard about this place from other people. They had bragged on it. The food was amazing. Best place around. Just like grandma's cooking. Those people are what I call wrong. On Friday I always go out to eat to escape the constant phone...ringing at my office. I had other plans but Woodruff Road traffic is horrible and I couldn't make a left out of my parking lot. So I made a right and looked for something else. I seen the sign for a restaurant and pulled in. I paid for the meal which it turned out was $16. The sign said the buffet was $11.50 so I guess the rest was for that glass of tea. They give you a glove to use at the buffet. I mean really. I fixed a plate with fried chicken, corn, carrots, and Mac and cheese. Everything was warm. Nothing was hot. The chicken was as dry as a desert. The carrots cold. Mac and cheese tasted like someone dumped a whole can of pepper in it. Corn was good though. Second round I tried a bowl of chili and pasta salad. I tried one bite of chili and it was so bad I pushed it away. I might as well have been licking a salt lick. Pasta salad was decent. I finished it off with dessert which was actually the only enjoyable part of the meal. The Food here is certainly not home made. And I have no idea how the receive such good reviews. The service was great and is the only reason it got a 2 instead of 1. By the time I got back to the office 10 minutes later I felt nauseous. I spent the remainder of the day in and out of the bathroom. And 7 hours later I'm still feeling rough. I even went back and mentioned it on our daily conference call and told everyone to stay away. 2 others said they had tried it and it was horrible. They are located behind a strip mall. There is plenty of parking and it's free. With so many other options on Woodruff Rd. I would steer away from this place. I can not recommend it.More

Food was just bland, and since the restaurant wasn't busy at 11:30 am, everything was either cold or overcooked. The restaurant used to be a Chinese buffet, which is easy to see since they haven't remodeled at all. A real disappointment.

This place was a very good buffet I went with my family. Very reasonable price. They had a good selection of food including a very large salad bar. Some of the food that they have was Baked spaghetti, Sweet potato casserole, Cooked carrots, Collar greens,...Mashed potatoes, Meatloaf, Lima beans, Cook green beans, Squash, Homemade rolls and cornbread, A large variety of dessert pies, Baked chicken, Fried chicken, Mac and cheese, Chilli, Cantaloupe, Peaches, Pineapple, Brownies, Is there menu changes depending on the day best thing to do is to check online first see what they have for that day. The only small issue I had was when they give you a gave plastic glove to go up to the salad bar when you pay that is that is the only plastic glove you have to use so you have to keep using it. I would suggest that each time you go up they would have a station where you can get a new one So you don't contaminate it when you take it off and reuse it. Otherwise no complaints highly would recommend.More

This is not a wine and dine. This is good country cooking. Plenty of variety. Lots of deserts. Nice friendly people.

I was traveling and looking for some home cooking, and I found it. They have a generous salad bar and tons of home cooked items on the hot bar. Fried chicken was juicy, chicken lovers were great, collard greens, beans, corn bread, mac n cheese!...All well done with a friendly staff. I'll be backMore

Ordered 4 vegetables - friend okra (that was fresh out of the fryer), cole slaw, pinto beans and mashed potatoes w/white gravy (could have been hotter). Plus 2 biscuits and a drink for $8.58. That price included a 10% discount that all of my companies'...employees receive. Good meal.More

I was in the mood for some "real" food; I didn't want fast food. I decided to try a buffet for lunch as it offered s great variety. I guess you can say I am a fried chicken junky and theirs was great. The outside...was nice and crispy while the inside was juicy. I had a small tossed salad from the salad bar and my biggest regret is they use fake bacon bits; sorry but that is an insult to those of us who sdire bacon. If you cannot or will not use real bacon bits, then don't put out the fake ones; leave them off entirely (I deducted 1 star for that). The veggies were good and there was a huge variety so anyone should be able to fill their tummies. The desserts were great. It us tare that you find do many choices even on buffets. On this visit I stuck with pies because some of the choices are my favorites like French Coconut and Egg Custard; both were delicious. My service was excellent; the server kept my iced tea glass full and provided me with a to-go cup so I could take my last glass with me. I was pleasantly full but not miserable but you need to pace yourself or you could easily overindulge because there are so many choices. I certainly didn't need much dinner after that lunch. The price was reasonable and all in all it was a good lunch.More

Went on a Friday and loved it! Most items were excellent but a few were ok - just like ANY buffet you go to. I loved the variety and a young man was constantly changing out trays of food with fresh stuff. I overloaded on...the fried chicken, the potato casserole, the cold salads and all the desserts. I will be back.More

If you like an abundance of choices of meats, veggies, salads, and desserts this is a very good buffet. The staff is attentive. I don't eat here very often because I make a pig of myself each time. I really like all the selections

Stopped here for lunch (first time visit) on a THU. With tax only $9.62 (price is higher on FRI/SAT/SUN). Good selection of home cooked vegetables. Looks like they change the menu a bit daily. Food was good for a buffet.

My wife and I were looking for something different and found this awesome place. The variety was amazing. I thought the pork chops and fried chicken were the best I have ever had. The banana pudding was also so very good. I would highly recommend...this place to anyone looking for good old fashioned comfort food.More
