Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As far as hotel restaurants go this one is top flight with even better service. The hotel was populated with the rudest most entitled soccer moms on earth and the staff handled their mean smart insults with nothing but grace and professionalism. However it’s still...hotel foodMore

We ate at the hotel restaurant 4 times during our stay. Two breakfast buffets and two dinners. The breakfast featured a wide variety of traditional food. The grits were amazing! We had a sandwich and the best mushroom appetizers we've ever had. Local and simply...delicious. We also both had the shrimp and grits for dinner and it was superb! The food is great, but the service is outstanding! We had the pleasure of being served by Maria, Ken and Josh. They are definitely an asset to the restaurant. We felt like family when we left!More

The staff at the restaurant are so nice - it was a pleasure to dine there! As far as the food goes, it was all delicious. We really enjoyed the wonderful steak with mashed sweet potatoes and the nice and spicy chili. The roast chicken...and vegetables were truly fantastic, such great spices. For dessert, the banana and chocolate cake was excellent - a great flavor combination and just the right consistency. The dark chocolate cake was very decadent, too. The breakfast buffet is wonderful, loads of variety in everything from the fruit to the eggs to the pastries and waffles, etc. You will definitely not go hungry eating there.More

Nice selection of Buffet items in a very Southern style. Offered a quiche and a poached egg ramekin of the day, which was different. Omelette station, etc. Nice enough. Flavors and quality all good.

This restaurant is located in the Marriott. The breakfast buffet is quite extensive. All items are well prepared and served at the appropriate temperature. The hours the buffet is available are convenient. My dinner experience was a very positive one. The hamburger was as tasty...and juicy as a good steak. My one not so positive comment is that no one stayed at the hostess stand so getting seating took a while. The wait staff was attentive though it took a while to get our bill. The positive side of that is we weren't rushed and made to feel that we needed to leave.More

We had breakfast here for 2 mornings. It is located in the Greenville Marriott. Since the Concierge Lounge is closed on weekends, we got breakfast included for the days we were there. Very nice buffet both hot & cold versions. The omelet station was excellent....Made just as I wanted. Don't know what it is like lunch or dinner only breakfast.More

This restaurant is inside the Greenville Marriott. I was taken away by how good the food is and the great wine selection they have. What I loved fish is on both the lunch and dinner menu. The blackened salmon I had two days. It was...perfectly cooked as were the vegetables which was corn and string beans. A must is the decadent cheesecake with peaches! They have prisoner which I rarely see in most hotels! I will be back!!!!More

Had dinner one night and breakfast two days here. The filet for dinner was good… better than I expected for a restaurant in a hotel in Greenville SC. Mashed potatoes with the steak were also good. Cesar salad was just ok. The crème brulee was...excellent, maybe the best I’ve ever had. Breakfast buffet was very good with a great variety. Fruit, berries, Oatmeal, Grits, Yogurt, Bagels, Toast, English Muffins, Cheese, Potatoes, Cheesy Potatoes, Scrambled Eggs, Biscuits, Gravy, Bacon, Sausage, French Toast or Pancakes and Omelets made to order. I am sure that I am leaving some stuff out as well, but it was basically anything you could want for breakfast and it all seemed to be good quality as well. The service in the restaurant and the bar was stellar. All of the waitresses and the bartenders were friendly and very responsive. I came away very impressed with the whole operation. Many times in hotels you run into mediocre restaurants due to the fact that they figure they have a captive audience. This was not the case here.More

We made impromptu reservations for the restaurant at the Marriott, Artisan, for the Easter brunch for after church. We were greeted and seated by the friendly staff and we then explored the buffet. There was an omelette station which one of our party absolutely enjoyed....I had a little taste of the breakfast fare and from there we sampled the offerings. There was fried turkey, ham, roast beef, salmon, salads...shrimp and to my surprise crawfish . Those of us who had room ventured to the dessert station. I had pecan pie and sampled a piece of cheesecake. We took a poll afterward and we all decided that our favorite item was the baked squash. We can't wait for next Easter.More

Did not have high expectations for the meal since it is a restaurant in a hotel. But..... food was fantastic. My wife raved about her potato soup. My spinach salad was so so. The entrees knocked it out of the park. Shrimp n grits for...my wife had the best sauce we've ever tasted with shrimp n grits. Sausage was great. My salmon was also excellent. Large portion of salmon with good rub and cooked just perfectly. The corn and sauce with the salmon were very tasty and the beans were also cooked perfectly, not undercooked or overcooked but with just the right amount of crunch to them. Desserts , bailey's chocolate cheesecake was also very good. Menu pricing is very reasonable and if we lived in the area, this restaurant would be a regular for us, even with it in a hotel.More

Traveling the South I get to sample shrimp and grits at many venues. At the Marriott I was pleasantly surprised that the quality of the dish was superb. There are a zillion recipes for this quintessential dish, but here they hit all the right points....Gulf shrimp with finely chopped Andouille sausage, peppers and a flavorful sauce. Y.U.M.More

I sat at the bar in this restaurant (lobby of the Marriott) and was greeted by the bartender, Bree (hope I spelled her name correctly). She was funny, charming and recommended the Pecan Crusted Trout, a chef specialty. The trout are from North Carolina. Two...gargantuan filets, packed with chopped pecans (when the chef says Crusted he means it!) on top of Brussels sprouts and potatoes was more than I could eat (but I finished it anyway!). One filet would have been enough but this was absolutely fantastic! At $22 a very good deal indeed. Very happy to return!More

We ate breakfast here the 2 nights we spent in the Marriott. They have a very good buffet with pretty much everything you would want for breakfast. Large selection of fresh, cut fruits. Omelettes & waffles made to order. Definitely started the day right. Servers...were friendly and helpful. They brought to go coffee cups & a hot carafe full of coffee for 2 cups to the table automatically if you ordered coffee.More
