Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went for lunch at Passerelle on Wednesday, June 5th. I mention the date in case the owner wants to figure out what went wrong. We were from out of town and happy to be able to make a reservation. We asked for an outside...table if the weather was nice, but it turned out to be a downpour. The hostess was very nice and gave us a table on the covered patio. After a good wait, our waitress came to take our order and we asked about the soup of the day. She said it was a Cajun chicken soup, and not too spicy. We ordered two cups. It took a long time to get the soup and when she delivered them she said she would be right back with our orders. We were not happy to hear that as we were then forced to eat either cold soup or a cold entrée. To top it off, we did not receive a Cajun chicken soup but a potato bacon/ham soup. It would be hard to confuse these two soups and my husband cannot have pork. Since our entrees had arrived, we moved on hoping the waitress would explain about the soup. She never did. Our entrée food was just so-so. My recommendation is for drinks on the patio with an appetizer and dine somewhere else.More

We felt like we were back in Europe while eating here. The staff were all very attentive and personable. The ambiance was right on point for the European feel. The food was just so-so. You definitely pay for the location and ambiance.

Passerelle is perfectly located overlooking the falls, and just at the end of the stunning Liberty Bridge. Stopping by Passerelle just before they opened, I met Miranda, the very helpful manager, who was able to secure us an outdoor waterfront table for our 11:30 reservation....We walked around Falls Park, and then returned for a delightful lunch, including their special bottle of rosé wine. All four of us enjoyed different meals, and all were delicious! I highly recommend arriving early before the lunch crowd to try to get an outdoor table. I can’t wait to return!More

Trip advisor never disappoints with high rated restaurants. We visited Greenville downtown and stumbled across this place nestled on the waterfront and were lucky enough to enjoy a table outside. We split the olives, arugula salad with blackberries and the grilled cheese and tomato soup....Everything was delicious and service was excellentMore

Mixed review: My husband ordered a burger and said it was delicious. I ordered the special which was flounder with crab. The flounder, a very inexpensive fish, was eaten in four bites and I couldn't find the crab. I was told it was the crust...on top of the fish. The crab must have been minced to form such a fine crust on the top of the fish. The four bites were cooked well. Though I found the 36.00 price tag to be ridiculous considering the four bite serving and invisible crab. I spoke to our waitress, and she had the manager come over. The manager came over SEVERAL times and it felt suffocating. They did make another flounder dish and offer a gift card. We chose to pay for our meal and left the gift card at the table. In their efforts to fix the situation, it seemed they believe in "killing them with kindness" and it was implied they felt I was trying to get something for nothing. I left feeling that the "special" was a scam, and that dealing with an issue with them is exhausting and time consuming. This is the first time I've ever talked to someone about a dish at a restaurant, so maybe it is typical to have the manager visit your table five times when you are displeased with a dish. I'll just never return, so I don't have a great night made awkward and uncomfortable.More

One of the best burgers we have ever had. Great location overlooking the river walk and wines by the glass were excellent. Service was top notch.

Small bistro in a beautiful location by the waterfall in the park. Croque Monsieur was delicious! Decent craft beer selection. After lunch, we strolled across the suspension bridge to get a closer look at the waterfall. A very pleasant place for lunch.

Charming place with an amazing view of the river when dining outside. It was too cold to eat outside so we ate indoors. The dining room was small but quaint. The menu is very limited but offered some unique dishes. We had a quiche with...sausage, potatoes and mushrooms, a phyllo wrapped fried goat cheese with blueberries and arugula and a chocolate mousse. All three were amazing! I would recommend this place if you are willing to accept a limited menu and high priced offerings in exchange for fantastic dishes with a view during warm weather.More

We enjoyed a night out for our anniversary. We had a table near the falls which was relaxing. The bar opens at 3, where we waited for general dinner seating to open at 5. Creme Brulee was excellent. Jamie, the bartender, had such a great...attitude. She will be an asset to wherever she goes and whatever she does.... Overall nice experience for an uncommon night out for us.More

This restaurant has a policy of charging a minimum when it seats parties. People don't spend a certain amount on food and drink? You must pay the difference... for nothing! There were empty tables so this wasn't a reason. After much uproar, the restaurant back...down, claiming it would "eat it." Eat what? A license to steal??More

Jill R, it was when we went. I am sure the pups would be limited to certain tables for safety's sake, but they were very accommodating.
