We stopped in here for dinner after walking down the Main Street and seeing a bustling restaurant that even had sidewalk seating. It was a nice sized menu, not too big and not too small. I had the sweet tea chicken and it came with...3 nice pieces of chicken, greens and mashed potatoes. My husband had the porchetta (pork belly) which came with black eyed peas and greens. Everything was good, but the proteins both could have used a little more flavor- they tasted best when paired with a bite of the greens or the black eyed peas. Good portion sizes. Reasonable prices for a nice sit down meal. The kitchen was slow- our waiter was good and kept apologizing to all his tables.More

My family met for brunch and I ordered the simplest thing on the menu and left without a meal. I ordered a simple Biscuits and Gravy and it arrived in a small cast iron serving dish. The first bite proved that the dish was at...best at room temperature, so I sent it back. It came back shortly and all they had done was dump more room temperature gravy on the top but still nothing was warm, just now swimming in way too much tepid gravy. Since everyone else was almost finished with their meals, I opted not to order anything else and left hungry. There didn't seem to be any effort put into fixing the issue - and nobody could have tested the temperature of the dish or they would have known it wasn't right. Very disappointed.More

Restaurant Week dinner on a SAT evening. Staters: shrimp toast and candied bacon deviled eggs. Salads: chopped salad and baby kale. Mains: four cheese ravioli with shrimp and chicken fried pork chop. Topped it off by sharing a candied bacon brownie. Service from Hannah was...outstanding, food was very good.More

This was the 2nd time we have been there. The food was good both times and both times the service wasn’t good. Our server today was wearing Minnie Mouse paraphernalia. She was rude to start with, barely saw her, and came out with the bill...wrong. When we asked her to fix it and to use a gift card, she expressed that it would be a lot of work for her to do. After 20 minutes, she returned with it fixed. After asking twice for more tea, she very impolitely stated firmly “in a minute!” and never returned. Clearly she is in the wrong profession to be working for tips. Probably won’t be back.More

We had a family reunion/Christmas Eve for 14 folks! We did have a reservation and our table and server were ready for us. Our meals were served in a reasonable amount of time. The food choices were salmon, fish Fry, hamburgers and chicken. They were...all delicious and had a good portion size. The Brussel sprouts appetizer was superb. The salmon was a bit disappointing-too many flavors with grape tomatoes, Spinach and Parmesan cheese and a green sauce. However, I do admit that the salmon itself was nicely done. We do recommend this place for its food, service and ambience!More

Staying at the Westin we just walked next-door without even having to go outside in the rain. It’s a nice bar and restaurant scene. Each of our meals were prepared well and tasty. Our waitresses really nice, friendly, and attentive. We would recommend this place...and eat here again next time we are visiting Greenville and don’t want to walk too far from the Westin.More

We loved our brunch this morning. The grits bar is a fantastic idea, and we really enjoyed it! You have nice, creamy grits with 3 different types of gravies. Then you have the meats, which are diced ham, chicken, sausage, and bacon. A big bowl...of shredded cheese--it was white, not sure the exact flavor. They had sautéed mushrooms and onions, tomatoes, and several things with it (no interest to me) and several types of jams, along with pimento cheese. At the end of the line is a big basket of warm biscuits. I added sausage gravy to mine. All very good and plenty to choose from!! We will return soon! My daughter ordered the avocado toast, which she wasn't pleased with. But she's young, and I think she should have just ordered something else. I don't think it was the dish necessarily.More

I am so-so on this restaurant. Been a half-dozen times but I would generally not pick it if it were up to me. Spouse chose it. We were going with another couple who had never been here. Most of our previous visits revolved around the...beer selections that the couples we were dining love to enjoy. The couple on this visit nor I drink so that was not a factor in this visit. Seated inside immediately around 6:00pm on a Friday night. Service (Anna) was good. You could kind of sense some disappoint on her part when we all just had water to drink (definitely lowers the check which impacts the amount of her tip). Food ordered was 2 burgers, half chicken and fried cod dinner. The best sides were far and away their collard greens. My burger was fine. Did not blow me away but it was cooked as requested. I brought half of it home with me. My wife liked her chicken (half of it was brought home, also). Our friends enjoyed their food. As we were about 80% thru our dining experience, a group of ten were sat adjacent to our table. I just love it when this happens and the group thinks that they are the only people in the restaurant. Some of the men must have been extremely hard of hearing as they were actually shouting at each other. We could not hear each other at our table after their arrival. Not the restaurant's fault but definitely impacted our dining experience. The total for us was $44.28 before tip. Again, not my favorite place and the rude diners at the end have me in no hurry to return. Greenville has plenty of other choices for dining out.More

We had reservations for 3 for 5pm but arrived a bit early and they were super kind and friendly and seated us immediately. We lucked up and after mixed review had a fantastic waiter. His name was Matt and he was sweet, funny, took the...time to answer our million questions! We were in Greenville for the first time and to see Jagged Little Pill. He took photos for us and allowed us to take one of him! We had the burger and 2 sides of Mac and cheese and I had the half chicken with collard greens and duck fried potatoes. All was excellent! I highly recommend the collard greens! We were all too full for dessert. This was a good atmosphere and in a great location for the Peace Center. Definitely would return!More

My friend and I ate 3 PM and ordered the fried fish and chips and the Vegetarian Pad Thai special. I did not see the Pad Thai had a curry sauce (gluey) and had to return due to the tumeric. Ordered the Chicken and Waffles...and the waffle had been deep fried and soaked up so much grease it was a hard sponge, The bottom of the dish had an oil slick, chicken was stringy dry and flavorless. My friend had the fish and chips and the fish was previously frozen and flavorless, we left almost all our meal and walked out with a $44 dollar bill with tip. YUCK!!!!! (went down the street for an ice cream cone. for our lunch instead) We had just driven 2 1/2 hours with 2 service dogs and the restaurant initially refused water for the dogs. I have had a service dog for 15 years and this was a first..(considering the sign on the door said Service Animals welcome.) The manager said they were not allowed to give us water. This wrecked our afternoon in Greenville, we left town immediately after our IC lunch.More

We dined here before a concert that we were in town for. We honestly just chose it because we could get a reservation. We had the pretzel appetizer. I had the Cesar salad with shrimp, and my mom had the beet salad with salmon. They're...pretty basic choices, but everything was fresh, and flavorful. The service was quite slow, and the restaurant was only about half full. Overall, I wouldn't rush to go back, but it would be an option if we couldn't get a reservation somewhere else.More

Went for a special occasion. The food was exceptional, and the menu sufficiently varied. The service was impeccable and we really loved our waiter. The location is easy to access and the ambiance nice. I would give a 5 star rating but a request was...made during making the reservation to have a window table but upon arrival was told the window tables were reserved for others. Would definitely return, but if you have special requests be sure to confirm before arrival.More
