The Food Speaks For Itself

The restaurant is clean and simple, no need to distract your attention away from the food, it speaks for itself! We ordered the brisket sandwich (slow smoked brisket with provolone cheese) tender and smoked to perfection paired with cole slaw. They offer a house sauce, sweet sauce, and a vinegar based sauce. The house sauce paired perfectly with the brisket. As we were eating, we could hear person after person being greeted by name as they walked through the door to place an order, so many we lost count. That is all you need to know! Assessible location ✅️ Repeat customers ✅️ Friendly staff ✅️ Exemplary BBQ ✅️ Award winners ✅️

It’s a TEN!!

This has become our “ go to” for the Most Amazing BBQ Ever!! I first tried SBH when they catered a business function, and it has since become a regular dinner option for my husband & I - and I take my Mom a plate to go as well. I don’t think I’ve ever had better brisket and the SBH beans & collards are The Stuff ⭐️ foodie dreams are made of!!!

Can't believe we just found out about SBH BBQ. We had an excellent meal today and can't wait to eat there again. I had the brisket dinner and the brisket was outstanding! My husband had the brisket sandwich. He didn't realize it came with melted provolone cheese...he'll ask for "no cheese" the next time. We've been to many Texas BBQ restaurants (including the Salt Lick) and SBH beats them all! For those who mentioned that the prices are high, well, check out the meat prices at your local grocery or Costco...out of sight! Before we were done with our meal we ordered a pound of brisket to take home. The $24 per pound is worth every dollar and you get enough for about four sandwiches.

Good ribs worth the drive!

Wow wow wow!!!, we drove 3 hours to try this place and they didn’t disappoint. We started with the collard egg roll and Mac n cheese egg roll, onion rings and wings all were good. We order the slab of ribs with baked beans (sos beans) it came with cornbread. The ribs were great however to beans were lukewarm. Definitely worth the drive.

This is not the run of the mill bbq place where food is overcooked and created in mass volume. Their brisket, pulled pork, smoked sausages, ribs are outstanding. Flavorful, moist and great quantity. Some may think it is a little pricey, however there is so much food served I end up taking a “to go” box. The owners participate in competition bbq and have their fair share of awards. BTW, don’t expect to show up later and expect a full menu.....they sell out of many items by 8 p.m. It means fresh every day! You can also place orders for them to smoke meats for you to pick up as well as catering. Love this place!

These guys know what they're doing. Super tender brisket, always moist & flavorful. It's especially good on a sandwich which they serve with smoked provelone. Their in-house sauces are excellent. Better go early if you want a shot at getting some burnt ends, they sell out quick, which tells you they legit trimmed ends and not just cubed pieces of brisket. Ribs are tasty too All around a very authentic experience.

I dropped off my Lee University Women's LaCrosse Team at Top Golf & was looking for a great meal close by. After reading the good reviews, I decided to give SBH BBQ a try. I did a combination plate. Everything was delicious & well prepared. The Brisket was tender & moist. The Pulled Pork & the Hot Link was very tasty, as well as the BBQ Beans & French Fries. The young lady that took my order, was very polite & professional. Exit 54 off I-85, South side of interstate. If you're passing through Greenville & want some great BBQ, give SBH at try.

Personal experiences sampling bbq all across the country put SBH in the top ranks of them all. Greenville county folks will get spoiled with the flavor since SBH makes everything at world class competition winner levels of goodness. Get yourself some of the best ribs and brisket you’ll find anywhere. For a tasty new twist on the pulled pork sandwich try the often imitated and never duplicated original Frogman. An unforgettable combination of pulled pork on a bun topped with onion rings and a slice of cheese. Taste traditional dishes along with some new favorites while you are here. If bbq is your thing, bring your taste buds here along with your appetite. It takes a lot for us to make a return trip to any restaurant, but this place has what it takes.

Loved the Pulled Pork

Visited on a Sunday afternoon just before closing. Although several items were sold out, we enjoyed the pulled pork sandwiches. We got one Carolina and one Sweaty Pig. Both came on nicely toasted Brioche buns along one side. BF loved the spicy BBQ sauce and fried jalapenos coupled with cool cole slaw on his Sweaty Pig. I had the Carolina with competition BBQ sauce topped with cole slaw. For sides, we had Mac and cheese and baked beans. Both are recommended but the baked beans were outstanding. Creamy and thick.

Fantastic Ribs!

We ordered take out. Our order included the pork, full slab ribs, baked beans, and cole slaw. The pork was a little dry, beans were somewhat thick but tasted great, cole slaw was excellent, and the ribs were fantastic! This was our first time eating from here but definitely won't be our last. They have the best ribs in Greenville!! They may be a little pricey but so worth it!

Good Tasting BBQ Locally In The Upstate

My wife and had heard about S.B.H. from a few friends, and were told to go early because they do tun out of things. So for dinner on a Wednesdays night we got there at 5:15 pm, and they had already run out of ribs which was why we wanted to try S.B.H. Yes we were disappointed, for sure. We did have the Prime Beef Brisket Sandwich and the Pork Sandwich, and sides of Mac-n-Cheese, Cole Slaw, and Onion Rings. Everything was very good. They have lots of parking out front, and they do charge for water.

Great fresh BBQ

Off 85 in a small center, they’re smoking great quality meat! Indoor and outdoor dining. We had a plate of ribs and Mac and cheese. The ribs were outstanding. Fall off the bone and full of amazing flavor. The sauce on the side was way too sweet for my taste, but the ribs did not need it. Mac and cheese was bomb dot com. Lived up to the hype. The pulled pork sandwich was good, not great. The meat lacked any flavor as another reviewer pointed out. But it was juicy and at least not over salted, so we happily ate it. The slaw is sweet, so if you’re not into sugar in your slaw-skip it. Banana pudding also lived up to the hype. Will be back!

Just ate here for the first time (10/15/2020) and it was excellent. I would say the best I have had in the upstate. Everything was very good with a perfect blend of smoke and seasoning. I tried all of their sauces and couldn't decide which one I liked the most because they were all good. The BBQ is so good you really don't need the sauce. On my plate came pork medallions, two ribs, sausage, and brisket. All of them really were excellent. If you have not tried them you need to and you will not be disappointed. I wish them great success and I will be back!

Fatty fatty brisket (and not in a good way)

Second time we've ordered takeout from SBH. First time was pretty tasty, although because we ordered late in the day, they were out of some of our choices. It was good enough that we wanted to try it again. This time the brisket was so fatty as to be almost inedible. I get it--if it's too lean it's dry. But this was almost like eating raw bacon. Good smoky flavor, though.

Great BBQ!

Came here while visiting family in the region. So yummy! Had the Carolina pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw. Husband had the brisket along with poblano creamed corn side dish. Really great. Was packed at lunch time but the line went fairly quickly.
