Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Disappointed that the biscuits don't taste like they used to. I didn't even finish my biscuit, which is the reason I stopped here on my way to Asheville. The home fries were old and tasted of old oil. The employees were amazing though. I don't...understand why the food is so bad compared to when they started out. Management needs to read these reviews because I see other people say their food was cold or old as well.More

Good spot for giant biscuits and coffee. I’ll be back. Order at the counter, they deliver it. But…. I wanted to email them directly but no email listed so here we are. I went in on a Monday morning before they opened at 8 and...sat down bc I was a little early. Then the tatted little red head behind the counter asks me how I got in “because we don’t open until 8”. I didn’t teleport in so obv I used the door. “It was open for the towel guy”. Ok I don’t care I’m not at the counter because its literally 7:57. I tell her I am going to sit and wait - I was meeting someone anyway. An awesome waitress with cool dreads brought me some coffee. It wall balances out, but the point is that she needs to be talked to about chilling out and learning about customer service.More

We love the large biscuits from Biscuit Head, especially the Mimosa Fried Chicken Biscuit. Also recommend getting a plain biscuit to try with their amazing homemade jams / butters. (Jam Bar near the drink machine!) If you want to avoid the line (which is inevitable,...but moves quickly!) order take out to enjoy at Reedy River Park or Cleveland Park, only a few minutes away. Highly recommend if you're a biscuit lover like me! :)More

Breakfast this morning was at Biscuit Head with my sister. My barber is next door to Biscuit Head at Mix Studios. My sister had dined at Biscuit Head some years ago when it was newly open. She told me then that she didn’t like it,...but I just had to try it for myself. It was a little after 10 when we walked in. It being my first time there, and my sister didn’t remember we didn’t know if we were supposed to seat ourselves or not. No one told us anything there, was nothing telling you what to do. I finally got the attention of a waitress, and she told us what to do. It was kind of dark and dreary to me in the restaurant it wasn’t very crowded, but they did start coming in after we placed our order. After looking at the menu I decided on the Filthy Animal and a side order of pimento cheese grits. The Filthy Animal is a biscuit with fried chicken, scrambled eggs, bacon, pimento cheese and gravy, sounds delicious right??? NOT!! The biscuit was ok the chicken wasn’t even edible, it looked like a boneless chicken thigh( I don’t eat dark meat) whatever it was it wasn’t a chicken breast and it was over cooked and tough, the bacon was hard not crispy, the scrambled egg was hiding under all of that cold gravy. Nothing in the Filthy Animal was even warm. The grits with pimento cheese was ok, my sister ordered The Classic Sandwich, it comes with one side she ordered the fried green tomatoes. We both got lemonade as our drink. The Classic is a biscuit with an egg and cheddar cheese the fried green tomatoes were cold and tasteless. I wasted $26.24 on food that I didn’t eat. As I was leaving I noticed food on several of the tables that had not been eaten. I tried it, didn’t like it, and wasted money on a mess, it didn’t even look appetizing on the plate. The lemonade was the bomb(we only got 1 glass) it was delicious, it was the only thing that I had that deserved 5 stars. I will not be recommending Biscuit Head to anyone.More

In town for a conference and experienced a "deep" craving for biscuits. This place did not let us down!!!! Very casual dining atmosphere. Varied menu with a focus on, you guessed it - BISCUITS. These are not your usual biscuits but rather "cat-head" biscuits. Noticeably...larger the the normal. You place your order at the counter and seat yourself. Meal appears within seconds of sitting down. Piping hot and very fresh. Be prepared to go there hungry because the portions are LARGE.More

Biscuits are that good. Was worth bringing a dozen on the plane back to NYC. Wasn't happy that they didn't bring my meal, but the food is pretty good. You wait on line, order, grab a table and wait for your food. Self service on...the drinks. Can get crowded so can wait 30 minutes to just place an order on weekendsMore

There is no real table service - stand in line, order, then sit and your food will be delivered. Might be tricky with little ones. Take a good look at the menu before you get to the counter. Service was excellent. You do clean your...table, but one of the employees took our plates for us. Coffee is self-serve, and there are cups for water. Biscuits are beaten, light and fluffy! Had the meat omelet which was good - a bit salty for me, which I know is not their issue. Country ham was excellent! Homemade fixins for the biscuits - I had the apple butter and strawberry jam - YES! Park in the garage like your GPS says to do.More

We were really hoping it would live up to all the hype. Unfortunately the biscuits were cold and falling apart, the chicken grisly, gravy lukewarm and collard greens simply not good. My number one pointer would be to make sure you serve hot food, it...could have tasted amazing but sitting in a window for too long or simply not serving fresh biscuits (when your entire restaurant concept centers around the biscuit) is a game changer. I say these things, Biscuit Head, to share our honest experience so you can keep your business from going downhill.More

Been well over a year since last visit. Wife and I stopped in for breakfast on a FRI - not too crowded. She had biscuits and gravy with a side (2 pieces) of bacon. I had the pulled pork BBQ biscuit. Very good food! Don't...forget their jam bar.More

No way to get in! I told my family I would meet them at Biscuit Head today for a nice family breakfast. I had never been there before but had heard about the one in Asheville. I followed my GPS and turned into a parking...garage with a sign that said “Biscuit Head” but there were two gates that would not open and there was a line of cars behind me and people started honking! Eventually, they all backed up and I could turn around! I exited and drove to a sign that indicated “vans” in a different part of the garage. I parked, got out to follow the sign and saw that I would have to follow a very long uphill sidewalk around the building which would eventually get me to the front door. I am handicapped and I walk very hesitantly and slowly and realized I would never get there and if I did, I would have to follow the same sidewalk downhill back to my car! Couldn’t do it, no matter what. It was a long walk uphill and it was insurmountable for me. I called everyone and met them at Stax and pulled up to the front door and parked and a nice hostess opened the door for me! Sometime, I will find a Biscuit Head that is Handicapped Accessible!More

I will say that I did this a disservice by ordering to-go and eating 45 minutes later. If it were hot, as it was when I was given it, it would have been fantastic. Ordered items: gluten-free classic with bacon, pimento grits, gluten-free biscuit, and...sweet potato gravy. The biscuit is good. Very difficult to find decent gluten free biscuits. It is gigantic. It does suffer from the characteristic dryness of gluten-free biscuits. Excellent thick-cut bacon. The grits have a good flavor, but benefitted from some salt. The sweet potato gravy was a surprise. Very tasty. (I would caution those with celiac to check with the vendor regarding potential contaminants, as usual.)More
