A family member had told me about a BBQ restaurant in Cross Hill that was good but could not remember the name. On our way to Laurens we came up upon it and decided to have an early supper there. We definitely will return if in the area. The ladies were very friendly and made us feel at home. They offer a variety of meats, sides, salads, and a couple of dessert selections. My husband enjoyed the hash plate with greens and I chose the pulled pork BBQ. My sides were macaroni and cheese like my family makes and coleslaw. I chose the sweet potatoes rather than dessert. Portions were very large; after eating, I carried home enough for twp sandwiches. A variety of homemade sauces were available. My favorite was the mustard based sauce. Everything was delicious but their homemade fried pies were outstanding. Apple, blueberry, cherry, strawberry and lemon made it hard to decide which ones to carry home. We tried them all. My favorites were the apple and lemon but my husband always goes for cherry. They were just like my mother used to make. The menu was posted on the wall back of the serving line.

This was o ur second visit at Fat Daddy's. Again the food was delicious. The wide selection of meats and sides provide something for everyone's taste Everything is good southern home cooking at its best. We had the ribs, pulled pork, collards, green beans, macaroni and cheese, and coleslaw. I had made from scratch cornbread which was really good. The meal comes with a choice of meat, two sides and dessert. The peach cobbler had a crunchy topping that made it so good; my husband had the banana dessert which he said was not like anything he had ever eaten. Portions are more than generous. There is a good selection of sauces and great ice tea. We were a bit disappointed that they no longer had the fried pies we enjoyed on our first trip. The staff treated us like family. We will definitely return when back in the area.

Delicious BBQ and definitely worth the side trip!! The ribs were done perfectly and the two sauces offered were great! A big hit was the sweet potato dessert! Wow!!

My favorite here are the ribs, not dry and fall off the bone. My husband loves the pulled pork and they have several different sauces to choose from to add to it.

We love this place. All the menu options are delicious. Prices have increased over the last year but still affordable and tasty. They can also accommodate a large family or group which is nice.

Always welcoming! Look forward to my visits to Fat Daddy’s and enjoy introducing them to friends from Presbyterian College and our community. Never disappointed whether I have pulled pork, ribs or brisket! The sides are always outstanding.

We had a group of about 20 that met for dinner at Fat Daddy’s. It’s a small restaurant but we had the entire side dining room to ourselves. The plates are about $12 /each and include a meat (bbq or chicken), 2 sides, dessert and tea. The macaroni and cheese is amazing. And be sure to try the peach cobbler. The staff was truly the nicest group of people I’ve encountered. Will definitely be back!

Great place for BBQ. Friendly staff, plenty of great food. Right on Hwy. 39. I recommend this place for anyone who likes BBQ.

I'm told that the hash is excellent. I'm not a SC hash person. I do love BBQ. The BBQ here is super. Their side dishes are also super! The BBQ pork, ribs and sausage are extremely good. This is a family run restaurant. You are always met by smiles and good food.

Best BBQ ever! I’ve eaten all over the country and this is the best southern cooking ever. The ribs and chicken I had were smoked to perfection. All the sides were excellent. Can’t say enough about the food here.

This is a great place in Cross Hill, SC...you get in your meal a meat of your choice 2 side dishes, dessert and a drink for a very reasonable price...Best BBQ around.

I was invited to eat here by the nice owners Laurie and Billy Ray, who I meat through my work. It is a small building in the country, with a small parking lot and unassuming facade. When you enter there are tables to seat yourself and a counter from which to order. There was a large selection of meats and sides from which to choose so I ordered several items to share with my kids. The half chicken was smoky and tender. The ribs were meaty and flavorful. I didn’t order the brisket but Billy Ray brought me a sample and it was my favorite meat. Tender and a little fatty but full of flavor, not overly seasoned so you just tasted the quality of the meat. I don’t think it’s available all the time so you have to come on the right day. I was there about noon in a Friday. The beans and corn on the cob were prepared southern style. Sauces were at the tables. They weren’t labeled so just give them all a try to see what you like. For dessert, peach cobbler and banana pudding that was lighter than the usual style and not too heavily banana-flavored. In their backyard is a huge swing they invited my kids to swing in which they loved. Due to the warm hospitality and great food I highly recommend this restaurant. It is family owned and ran and you can see the love they put into this place. Thanks!

The food here is awesome and the staff is even better. Best mac n cheese I've had, pork is great and ribs are better. Not looking forward to them moving to Greenwood, but I'm happy for them. It will be worth the drive for us!

Delicious........ribs are wonderful pork is good and sides are delicious......very friendly owners.....makes you feel like you are eating at home.....Will definitely go back and highly recommend....macaroni and cheese was as good as mine....
