Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is one of my favorite places because the people are so nice and the food is so good! I have been coming here for years and always have a great experience. I have several favorites: the joojeh platter, the joojeh salad, the koobideh sandwich, and the lavash bread. The servings are ample and often come with sides. I have brought friends here, co-workers, and family. Everyone loves this place and wants to come back. I also love coming on my own!

We almost didn’t stop because it looked more like a take out place and not a restaurant. Good thing we decided to give it a try. The food was excellent! I honestly don’t think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. The woman who took our order was very kind and helpful. Best meal we have had out in a long time!! Definitely coming back!!!

Kabab is near our home, and has long been a favorite for both eat-in and taking home for the family and friends. Ambience is somewhere between fast food and fast casual. You order at the counter, with the food being brought to the table when ready. Drinks, cutlery, napkins--all self-service.
We were shocked on our lunch visit yesterday that not only had prices increased (no real surprise--prices are up everywhere), but a full platter which formerly included two of the lower priced salads as well as a generous portion of rice and lavash bread, now excludes the salads. The big surprise was that my wife's portion of babaghanooj, which she ordered to stand in for a side, was apparently considered an appetizer at $8.99 with two breads; the menu lists only a "large," which is what we got. If the price was marked on the container, I didn't notice. I also don't think it was on the menu posted on the wall. Fountain sodas are $2.49.
There is no separate lunch menu, although sandwiches (kababs, etc.) are available a la carte.
Salads are available in a $3.99 small size. Since formerly two of these were included in platters, effectively the cost of the platter has gone up by eight buck in addition to whatever increase has happened in the base price.
The food is good as it has always been, but the feeling of being ripped off sours the experience. The value is gone.

I ordered lamb platter. It contained 6 small, hard, impossible to even chew lamb pieces. On a bed of colored rice - no flavor to the rice. It is accompanied by a burnt tomato. And 4 pieces of bread. It costed me $23.65. And I threw all of it away. The meat was inedible. Rice flavorless, dry.
The owner did not look surprised at my reaction.

In all the times I’ve been to Kabob, I’ve never been disappointed in the food quality. The doner(gyro) platter and sandwich are delicious. The pita and rice also have a nice flavor to them. Great quality!

I decided to try this unassuming restaurant out since I was nearby and wanted something relatively quick to eat. From the outside, it looks like just another storefront restaurant. It’s worth it to stop in for a meal. You will not be disappointed.
The owner greeted us warmly and offered us samples of the beef stew which was delicious. I ordered the Donner sandwich with cauliflower salad. While we waited for my order and tasted the sample, my wife was convinced to order the beef stew for herself with an olive salad. The beef stew and the rice came separately in two large containers (enough for two meals). When I received my sandwich, I was surprised by how thick it was. I opened the package to find large slices of donner meat with lettuce and tomato wrapped in bread. The sandwich was so large that I only ate half and left the rest for another meal.
The other nice thing about the restaurant is that it has a family feel to it. The servers were very friendly, and the owner acted as if he had known us for a while.
The menu has a nice variety of options and the salad side options are also extensive.

We visited Kabab Café during a business lunch and loved it. The portions were huge! Loved the Tzatziki (yoghurt sauce with cucumbers) and the warm pita bread. Delicious! Stop by here if you’re in the area.

This place offers a great lunch special Monday - Friday. I had the player lunch special and my wife had a sandwich lunch special. Both came with a drink and a side dish at a great price. The plater was big enough for two people to share.

I got my first delicious gyro in years and it came from this place. As a side dish, i had the cauliflowers. Everything was delicious and the staff is very friendly. This is my new Gyro place. They got the recipe right unlike the famous franchise in KOP.

It is good, but not great. Also, considering your meal is server on styrofoam plates and given plastic utensils this place is commanding some high prices a restaurant with a real server gets.

We have been here several times and the food is always good. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. Everything is made fresh and the portions are very satisfying. They have a nice menu selection and it's not overwhelming. They offer sandwiches, salads and platters. We highly recommend this place.

I have past this place often but never stopped in. I decided to try it on a whim for dinner. Great service, the cashier asked if this was our first time and offered samples of lamb stew. I had the lamb plate and the lamb was seasoned well, a very big portion of basmati rice (although I am not a rice fan), and the salad side was a nice size portion. A nice range of desserts and even boxes of Turkish delights you could take home. Would definitely return, especially in the winter for that lamb stew.

I've been an intermittent regular since they opened (10 years ago?) and can count on an excellent mid-day meal. Having been off of beef and lamb for decades, my lunch choices have been limited to the Joojeh, BBQ Joojeh and falafel kabab sandwiches rolled up like hefty gyros in a pita. Lunch includes a veggie side of which I have enjoyed the cauliflower salad, cucumber and yogurt, and the shirazi - a Persian pico de gallo. I've also grown fond of the sir torshi - garlic heads pickled for five years - although you will definitely be sleeping alone for a while. An array of pastries and regional candies are available for take out and staff members are always attentive, often offering a small sample of soup or stew.

Just so so falafel kabob. Pita was so so too. Also asked for some hot sauce for the falafel and was given a regular bottle of hot sauce. The restaurant got packed so it was working for some. cannot say I would go again given other choices nearby.
