My to go order was sloppy and dry. The bacon seemed to be leftovers and was extremely overcooked. The eggs also seemed to be overcooked and had a consistency as if they had been microwaved. The hash browns were okay as were the grits and biscuits. The coffee was weak and lukewarm. We weren't given any napkins and only a plastic knife (no spoons or forks, and I had to ask for a coffee stirrer, of which the young lady at the counter only had exactly one to give....while I had ordered 2 cups of coffee so we had to share the stirrer).
In addition, it was very difficult to place the order online, the system was very glitchy and despite the restaurant opening at 7 am, I could not pick an earlier pick up time than 8 am. Once I got to the restaurant it wasn't even busy so not sure why an hour was needed in between my order time and pick up time.
The online ordering process and the food provided in our to go order was extremely disappointing. I highly doubt that to go order, as prepared, would have been put in front of a guest dining on your premises. I have dined in at this Cracker Barrel several times over the years but this was my first to go order and also was my last unfortunately.
Not sure I'll even dine there again based on this experience. Not sure how whoever plated up that food thought a paying customer would want it.

The family was in the mood for breakfast. Cracker Barrel is a go-to restaurant for good breakfast. We love their pancakes. Everyone in the party had the Mama's Breakfast which has three very large pancakes with eggs and a meat.
It took us a while to get seated. The server, Barbara, was friendly.

Never disappoints. My sister and I had the dumplings and the chicken fried chicken and my brother in law loved the fried chicken. Was pretty crowded but got a seat fairly quickly. Shopped for a bit while waiting, and they had an awesome 70% area! Alberto was fast and very friendly! Great service.

I was craving chicken potpie. It was picture perfect! But that was about it sadly. The chicken was not cooked and I'm not sure it was real chicken. The floors were sticky & gross! To which I just should've walked right out. As we are waiting for the food, I noticed the whole place was filthy and desperately needs a DEEP CLEANING!!!!!

I ordered Benny, eggs English muffins , sausage and casserole. Certainly very bad food . I’m really disappointed.
We always had been eating here.
Certainly they’ve changed the quality of food.

When we arrived there was a 40 minute wait. Thrilled we got called in 25 minutes. Sunday 8 am did not expect that. We were seated at a table that was clean but chairs were not. Crumbs on all chairs, some seemed to be there awhile. As I type this we are still waiting for our meal. 20 minutes thus far. I understand Covid but if you cannot staff your restaurant then do not open.

I've always loved Cracker Barrel as one of those comfort food restaurants that brings me back to the home cooking of my Appalachian grandmother. I decided to grab a late lunch as take out from the Plymouth Meeting Cracker Barrel yesterday and there was a decent crowd at the restaurant for both outdoor seating and indoor seating. I did not look at the interior restaurant, but the outdoor tables and rocking chairs/benches were all socially distant and all of the staff members were wearing masks and gloves.
I ordered the U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish with Mashed Potatoes and Saw Mill Gravy, Fried Apples and Dumplins and my friend ordered Chicken 'n' Dumplins with Mac 'n' Cheese and Green Beans. We also got a free sample size of Cole Slaw to try as well as a couple of Cornbread Muffins for each of us.
The Catfish filets were quite large and were fried to perfection, yet still left the catfish moist and flaky. I wish I had tartar or cocktail sauce to go with my fried catfish, but luckily I had these condiments at home. The mashed potatoes were made with potatoes versus potato flakes, but instead of getting the saw mill gravy on the side as I had requested, only a small bit was put on the mashed potatoes which definitely could have used more gravy. The fried apples were delicious as always. The dumplins were plentiful and tasty. The dumplin gravy was a little watery, but still delicious none-the-less.
The Chicken 'n' Dumplins was a HUGE portion of both Chicken tenderloin (5-6 pieces) and Dumplins. Where as the side of dumplins with the Catfish platter had a watery gravy, there was almost no gravy with the entree portion of the Chicken 'n' Dumplins. When we reheated the leftover Chicken 'n' Dumplins this afternoon for lunch, the dumplins dried out and became crispy in some parts. The green beans were tender and very flavorful and the mac 'n' cheese was nice and cheesy without being too heavy.
The cornbread muffins were also a great addition to our meals as most restaurants serve sweet cornbread and Cracker Barrel serves a more savory cornbread. We've been missing the cornbread muffins as only biscuits were available at this location the last couple of months.
As usual, the staff at Cracker Barrel was very friendly and accommodating. When I walked up to the register to give my take out order, Noelle was very friendly and welcoming. She had said that it would take about 25 minutes for my order to be ready and my name would be called on the loudspeaker once my order was complete.
At about the 15 minute mark, I walked into the retail area of the Cracker Barrel to wait out the remainder of the wait for my takeout and I saw a takeout bag near the cash registers that was not under any type of heating source. At the 25 minute mark, I walked up to the register to inquire about my order and it turns out that my order was the one sitting for at least 10 minutes not under a heat lamp to keep it warm. As a result, the food was room temperature at best heading into my car for the short ride to my friend's house for lunch.
All in all, the Cracker Barrel in Plymouth Meeting largely met my expectations with a couple of small areas of improvement to raise my 4 star rating to a 5 star rating.

Went to Cracker Barrel with my granddaughter for lunch. I had chicken, she had a hamburger. More food than either of us could eat. The best part was the shop attached to the restaurant. They had so many unique toys, candy and clothes. Just a great store.

Server was amazing. All staff was great but waited went above and beyond. Food was good quality but portions seemed bigger than one closer to home and tasted better.

Our family road trips are nothing short of legendary. We always plan to visit a Cracker Barrel location for breakfast on the way to our destination. This location has great scratch made food and friendly & attentive service. Our food was great, especially the pancakes (served with real Maple Syrup!). I highly recommend visiting this location when visiting the Philadelphia suburbs or Central Pennsylvania.
FYI - Many great unique items in the retail store in the front of the restaurant.
