The choices we made were quite good. There was a line of people waiting to order and to get their food. They seemed to be short handed. And they made mistakes on both my wife’s and daughter’s orders. But I’d go back. Good veggie chili and good veggie burgers.

I ordered the grilled cheese with avocado (I can't remember what my friend ordered) but we were happy to see all of the vegan options. It tasted wonderful. Next time around I hope to try some of the soups, they smelled wonderful as well.

Perhaps it matters what you order. I ordered the chicken ranch griller. The sandwich had way too much mayo. The chicken was dry, tough, and barely edible. I was quite hungry so did not waste the meal. I will not return. How is it possible that reviews are so stellar and my experience was so not aligned?

We had lunch here for the first time. It had been recommended. We had the porto melt sandwich, ham/turkey muffaletta, and the chicken ranch grill. All were excellent. The place is attractive and the counter servers are freindly, and efficient. We recomment Eatunique and will definitely return.

I ended up with a very interesting, and very good, lunch experience at Eat Unique. Finding the place while walking along, we stopped in during a crowded lunch period. The format is ordering at the counter, waiting at a seat, and then picking up the food when ready. It was busy, and we were only able to grab window-side "bar" seating, which wasn't ideal...but it was still a seat!
I ordered the feta tomato basil soup, which was good...think of a creamier tomato basil soup. I also had a Jalapeno Cream Cheese Hummus sandwich....which sounded completely "unique", and was...and was excellent!
This is a great lunch option in the CMU area of Pittsburgh!

This place was perfect for lunch - they had a menu that had enough to make everyone happy but not an overwhelming amount of options. The food was fresh, delicious, and very reasonable priced! Cheaper and way better than Panera too. The sandwiches and salads were loaded with ingredients and toppings. Service was super fast and friendly. I could see myself coming every day. The tuna salad is definitely fresh and has a ton of flavor, and we loved the sweet bean hummus on one of our sandwiches.

Texmex salad with white turkey chile recommended for lunch. No salad to speak of and turkey chile was almost inedible (canned; corn tomatos and beans used).

Visiting Pittsburgh and looking for a quick bite. Very disappointed to find that the salad I ordered was made with iceberg lettuce and dry, pre-packaged shredded carrots. Not particularly clean, either. Would not recommend.

We stopped here for lunch and were very pleased! The food was all delicious! There were many delicious and healthy options available. Only criticism was that it took awhile to get our food, but it was a busy lunchtime so that can be forgiven. Highly recommend!

This is a great place to try in Oakland near both CMU and the University of Pittsburgh. It gets a little busy during lunch hour but they do a ton of carryout business. Food is reasonable average lunch would be close to $10. Soups are amazing - my favorite Turkey Chili. Many different choices for those on various diet restrictions. they are even willing to make some adjustments for you as everything in made to order.

Eat Unique has zero dine-in ambiance, which is too bad because the food is really good and fresh. I use this place anytime I want to grab picnic food and eat outside in one of the nearby parks/campus open spaces. The sandwiches and soups are excellent.

The food here was good, with several dishes on the menu that appear interesting and original. Basic deli-style service with ordering at the counter and return for pick-up. You need to stay close-by as some of the tables are around the corner and can't hear their call for pick-up. Prices are a little high for the quality and lack of overall service, but fine if you have a desire for eating out with a wide range of vegetarian-options.

An interesting concept for the restaurant. Vegetarians will love it because it has so many options. Seating is somewhat limited. But the food is awesome.

All 3 of us got different soups. I had the vegetarian chili which was one of the best I have had in a restaurant. There are salads and sandwiches too. You order at the counter and then take it to your table. Very convenient location to CMU and Pitt. Nice quiet place.Lots of veggie options.
