Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stopped for lunch prior to Pirates home opener. Right across the street from PNC Park. Place was hopping! Recommend the Rueben sandwich, very tasty. Friendly efficient staff.

Ate here because it was in the hotel and it was a great choice. Visited the bar the first time for drinks and apps but had table service the second visit. Service was adequate. Everything we ordered from apps to the salted caramel crunch vanilla...cake, all very good. Would recommend. Would return if we visit the area again.More

The margherita pizza was some of the best I’ve had anywhere! The restaurant was absolutely packed before a game but our food still came out very quickly. Expecting to wait way longer. Visiting from out of town and ate there for dinner the next day...as well. Definitely would recommend!More

This is a nice enough restaurant located on the first floor of the Springhill Suites hotel, across from PNC Park. Very nice dining area along with a large four-sided bar for those choosing liquid refreshments after the game. The staff here was exceptionally friendly and...accommodating, which is really appreciated when the crowds pour in after a Pirates or Steelers game. But, the menu here is nothing special, and in fact pretty average for a bar & grill such as this one. Basic offerings include various grilled sandwiches, and of course an array of different burgers. Unfortunately, my cheeseburger after a Pirates' game was way overcooked and void of any moisture that may have kept it juicy. I understand the need to cook ground beef medium well, but when it reaches the point when the burger is hard to enjoy (and eat, for that matter) a different approach would work better. At our recent visit it was hectic and crowded in here, so sending it back for a better burger was not going to happen. I'd like to give this place another try down the road, but at the present time a rating of 'fair/average' best describes my experience here.More

Nice Desserts but as for the staff they interact with each other but not much with the customers. This is the first for our family in Pittsburgh. All the other establishments are so friendly. We felt like an inconvenience. We've had friendlier service from a...vending machine. Probably not coming back!More

My wife and I stopped here for lunch while walking through this area. I ordered their steak and cheese (Philly) sandwich which was really good. The fries were cooked perfectly and not oily or greasy. My wife had their fish and chips which she really...enjoyed. Phillip our sever was great. Overall a great lunch.More

We stayed at Spring Hills Hotel which is attached and just wanted a light supper so I ordered carry out. We settled on some appetizers: pretzel sticks and chicken quesadillas. They were delicious and my picky children both gave them two thumbs up! The ambiance...and vibe in the restaurant looked great and I would recommend this restaurant!More

I had the Pittsburgh Pierogies. We can't get pierogies at any of the restaurants where we live, so it was a real treat for me with kielbasa and caramelized onions. If we ever go back to Pittsburgh I would definitely eat here again.

This probably becomes a rowdy sports bar at times, being right on the Pirates'doorstep. However the food was excellent and so was the service. We shared a spinach and artichoke dip as a starter, followed by a NY strip as rare as I like them...with roasted potatoes and broccoli, and a salmon steak with rice. Beer and a glass of malbec. Perfect fix on a rainy day and a stone throw to the Warhol Museum.More

We had dinner here tonight and it was wonderful. We ordered the soft pretzels for the appetizer and they were so good that we ordered a second plate. I ordered the Greek turkey burger and it was the best burger I have ever had. We...were also very impressed with our waitress. She was very friendly and attentive. Her name was Mara. Thank you for great food and service!!!More

Went there after an event near the PNC Baseball park. Even though there was no game, this place was hopping! Grabbed a Cobb salad and it was excellent-fresh ingredients and a large serving. Pricing was reasonble and good service.
