Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I never been to a restaurant that mostly served variations of meatballs and sauce. It was quite crowded due to the events gong on downtown. Food came out fast and tasty with dipping sauce that was just too good to describe. I really appreciated the...fancy jugs of water they brought out to the table for quick refills.More

When I was mapping the location, Sienna Mercato kept popping up. Upon arrival, there are several restaurants with the same address. This place reminded me of a former garage, due to the roll up door. Good local hangout with relaxed atmosphere. I had the Ball...of the Month – Dragon Ball. Pork meatball with carrots, cabbage, rice, broccoli and sweet and sour sauce – this had a kick to it. Thought the broccoli tasted a day old. Really loved the meatball. Also ordered a mock coctail – Blueberry and Lemonade was light and airy. Definitely a place to come back to.More

Collette was a great server and I really enjoyed the Ball of the Month. Spicy but very good. Great combinations.

My husband and I ate here on a recent trip to Pittsburgh. We sat at the bar and visited with patrons. It’s a really nice atmosphere in a great old building (typical Pittsburgh!). The meatballs are fantastic. Maybe I had low expectations but I wish...I’d ordered a bigger dinner. I had a meatloaf slider and my husband had a pork grinder. Yum! Who knew? The beer selection is nice too. I can’t wait to go back for more.More

This place was amazing. Great food, many well paired options, but then able to build your own, whether it be sandwich or bowl or pasta or panini. Excellent value, quick service and wait staff was very attentive. Wish we had one closer…franchise??

Great place right across from our hotel, Courtyard by Marriott Downtown. I tried the Loaded Baked Potato minus bacon and it was delicious and filling. Other in our group tried the Atomic Balls-A+, a slider, and a build your own bowl. All the meatballs were...great!More

Went here with a group of friends, there is currently a limited menu due to covid however there was enough selection for all of us. We had the Queso, crab dip, crack fries (loved), brussels sprouts and of course meatballs. Everyone in our group was...very satisfied with their meals. The service was good, quick and food was reasonably priced.More

Outstanding food! Many delicious choices, or make your own combo of tastiness. Unfortunately, the lackluster service means this place is often not worth the long wait.

The concept of this place is great. Meatballs however you like them and all different types. I went with them over pasta and I had beef and spicy pork and they were both great. Friends went with the hoagie and it’s huge, you will have...to eat it with a knife and fork. The poutine was a great starter and a welcome to Pittsburgh type of starter.More

We saw the reviews were mixed and decided to try it. It’s a super fun place with really good meatballs!! We had the crab and shrimp dip appetizer with fresh pita chips and it was awesome! We rate it a 9.5 out of 10. We...were unsure about it being a cold dip but it’s great. We tried four different meatballs and the Mac and cheese with pepper jack. The chicken with buffalo sauce was a little different but the beef/marinara and pork with tomato basil were good. Would definitely recommend it.More

This place was hopping ! The selection of meatballs was tremendous and the ones were ordered were so tasty. The bar served stiff drinks at a reasonable price. My first time there but I will definitely go back.

Stopped by with a small group for beers and snacks after attending a conference at the convention center. We stayed at the Westin and Emporio A Meatball Joint was within walking distance. We enjoyed a nice selection of local beers and appetizers. I had the...thanksgiving meatball which did not disappoint. The fried pickles were also yummy. This place is highly recommended by many in the area. Prices were fair and the wait was minimal.More

Who would have thought that you could build a menu out of meatballs? The combinations and flavors all look great even if I could only enjoy one option for lunch. This was a tasty and enjoyable lunch stop while I was nearby for a conference....I recommend it highly.More
