My husband and I ate there for lunch. We enjoyed the large space that seems to cater to the young crowd. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. The food came out rather quickly and it was quite tasty. The fries were terrific and the salad with a side turkey meatball was delightful. There are 3 floors with each one a different theme. A great concept in dining and drinking!

I visited for a "Girls' Night Out" with three other women. As the title suggests, it's actually three different restaurants, each on a different floor. The first floor is a beer emporium with accompanying food, the third floor serves tapas in an open-air environment with a glass roof that slides open to reveal the night sky. Thought it was chilly that night it was still open to the sky, but I noticed there were poles with heaters spaces around creating a nice cozy ambience among the fully packed counter/tables. We chose the second floor which had tables and booths and was known as a wine bar with pasta and pizza as offerings. NOTE: there's an elevator to take you to the third floor, but it doesn't stop on the second floor for some reason. One of the servers noticed that a member of our group had some mobility issues and offered to take us to the second floor using a bypass key for the elevator. The service was impeccable, there was an excellent selection of wines and the food was great, however, I felt that with two women sharing two entrees it was a bit overpriced.

My co-workers and I were at the David Lawrence Convention Center for a gymnastics event. We went to Sienna Mercato during our last day in the city. It was around lunch time & it was not overly crowded. We were seated right away. I had a salad as an appetizer & it was one of the best salads that I have ever had. It was fresh and the dressing was delicious. I also had the turkey meatballs over spaghetti noodles. It was amazing and a dish that I will never forget! If I go back to Pittsburgh I am surely going back to this restaurant. I highly recommend you try this place!

Great for a quick bite, take-out, or meeting fiends. I think it is cool how all three levels of the building have something different to offer. If you go, try the Turkey Parmesan & Herb meatball and the Mac & Cheese! The bar tenders know their stuff too!

We had a wonderful time for our daughters birthday on the Mezzo floor. The charcuterie and cheese boards were excellent. The calamari was some of the best ever. The La Genoese pasta was super. The quarto formaggio and the bacon/clam pizzas were yummy. The wine list had many good selections? Our waitress was great and our overall experience was wonderful. We even had a chance to go up to the top floor for a few drinks- we highly recommend at least going up there to see a great view of the Pittsburgh skyline.

A fun place to eat! The "Government cheese" mac and cheese side was true "comfort food". I liked the classic and turkey meatballs the best. The dessert options are excellent--the pecan balls were my favorite.

This is a very cool concept and the food is awesome. Highly recommended. My chicken cordon bleu meatball was outstanding.

We stayed on the 1st floor for the meatballs. Nice atmosphere, good service and very affordable. I had the meatball of the day; chicken cordon bleu in a panini with a creamy parmesan sauce and a bowl of pasta fagioli soup. Everyone one else in the party enjoyed their meal too. I'll definitely be going back here again!

I came here during a Steelers playoff game and luckily I was able to get a table. I was alone and not overly hungry. I sat in the first level which is more of an informal Italian style eatery. The menu is pretty cool. Meatballs are the main theme and they serve them in a variety of sauces and over a variety of complements. You also pick out the kind of meatball you want: pork, beef, chicken. I opted for the traditional Italian meatballs made of beef paired with pork ragout sauce. I had it over spaghetti and also in sliders. The pork ragout was amazing. It had a hint of sweetness and was rich and meaty. The meatballs were amazing. I pretty much stayed watching the game and lit was great because it was a slow night (highlyl unusual for this bistro). I never made it up to the other two levels so I can't really say about the Beergarden and the more upscale Italian. The only negative is I ordered wine, an Abruzzo that was very good but the portion was very small. I kid you not, it had to be about half of a regular wineglass. here they serve wine in stemless glasses. But it was a very small glass and it was very light, size-wise. The service was friendly and helpful. I also ordered the ricotta doughtnuts and they were pretty good. I think a little more sweetness would have been perfect as they were just barely sweet. But overall a good experience.

Started with some drinks on the awesome roof top bar, then dinner down below. This is a MUST in Pittsburgh. The roof top bar has a great selection on tap with some ciders as well (good gluten free option). The view is amazing. It's a glass top, so closed when cold, open when warmer. After drinks we headed down to Emporio for dinner. The menu is not something I've seen before. Some intriguing app, but we didn't indulge. The gist of the menu is MEATBALLS. Four types, meat, veggie, pork, or turkey (which is the only gluten free option, but well worth it). Then picking a sauce, and style. (Saucy balls are a must). Sides are available. I had my turkey meatballs with arrabbiata sauce over gluten free penne. I also asked for a side of the tzatziki sauce, because it's one of my favs (worth it). My wife had the veggie balls with a mushroom gravy over tater tots, yes tater tots. Don't make that face, they were great she said. The atmosphere is very inviting, staff/service at both spots were on point. Cannot wait to return. Highly recommend this place.

We stopped by this quirky little place for lunch while we were shopping in the nearby Strip District. Atmosphere is definitely urban-rustic!! Very cool -- a mix of old industrial & upscale contemporary!! Menu is made up of various kinds of meatballs & sauces. You can get them on a plate or made into various kinds of sandwiches. You pick from beef, chicken, pork, or vegetarian!! There are two other floors ( not open when we were there). Second floor specializes in gourmet pizzas, & top floor serves craft beers!!! This was a fun, different kind of restaurant if you are up for a change!! Service was great!!

The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars instead of 1 is because I like Empiorio, the first floor. I've been there a few times for lunch and dinner, and even a Friday night, bustling with activity and loud conversation, it's not completely terrible. Actually, my guests and I sought solace there last night since we had to leave il Tetto because we couldn't hear ourselves think. Getting off the elevator, you are greeted by a nice waft of sweat in addition to the head pounding music and loud voices screaming to each other across a table to be heard OVER the music. To be honest, even if they just turned the music off it would've been much better! My fiancé does not fare well in environments like this so he left to go outside to clear his head. After checking on him, I went back upstairs and found that the rest of my party also couldn't take the loud music, so we left our drinks and went to Empiorio to stand and wait for our cabs. Also, this is just a bit nit picky, but the server didn't even know what drinks they had. Don't you think if you're working in the part of this restaurant that primarily serves booze you would know what they have vs. what they don't have? I will not be back.

On the ground floor that's about all, but they are good! An earlier visit wasn't great but this night everything was. Started with fried pickles (surprised that we all enjoyed them) a generous serving with dip shared by 4. Each had a salad, also generous and followed with a personal selection of 2 meatballs. There are a variety of meatballs (including vegetarian ) and a variety of sauces ; your choice to mix and match, served in separate bowls. I ordered mine with penne (extra) and it was more than I could finish. Service was attentive and quick, meatballs arrived before we finished salads. One of the group mentioned theirs wasn't as hot as they'd have liked. This was a Wednesday evening, arrived at 6, no problem getting seated, very crowded when we left.

It is somewhat confusing as we thought we were going for Italian only to find out there are 3 different restuarants and that is not clear when you walk in. They do not take reservations, but there is an app for your phone you can download to check on wait time. We ended up in the bottom level and it is a meatball place, which was very different. You pick your meatball, then your sauce and then your bread. It was pretty cool. We enjoyed it. Very different.
