Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I would have given this place a better score but the 1/2 chicken I ordered was so dry that even the dark meat bites had to be followed by a drink of water. This place has a beautiful atmosphere , excellent drinks and great service...but the food quality is not on pace with the prices. My wife enjoyed her sirloin meal and the sides were good. I guess my simple advice here would be stay away from the 1/2 chicken ( Walmart does a better chicken).More

We waited 30 minutes to sit down, which isn’t so bad, but once we sat down we weren’t acknowledged for another 20 minutes. Once we ordered we waited 20 minutes for our French toast, pancakes, and eggs. Fine there’s a line for food, but our...order didn’t even come out correctly. My son ordered a parfait- that never showed up. The French toast was burnt- not sure how you burn that. I wouldn’t come back. Don’t waste your money. Too expensive to have mediocre food, especially when the menu has 10 items. They should be perfected.More

The menu is small, like the bar/restaurant, but the Clemente Chicken Sandwich is worth a pre or post game stop. Located in the Renaissance, downtown Pittsburgh. Walking distance to PNC Park.

Have always enjoyed this place for a drink and sandwich when at Rennaisance. Bartender server was super and attentive. Menu options were very limited. Dining options near hotel are highly limited and COVID caused even this few choices to disappear.

Treated my husband to a Valentine’s Day meal here on Saturday, February 15th, just us, around 5pm. This was our 3rd visit, and we came because the previous 2 visits were phenomenal and my husband repeatedly requested to come back. I originally had reservations for...7:15 but we came much earlier due to boredom, and I regret that. They sat us upstairs since downstairs was totally booked, and man is there a difference. Downstairs is dimly lit, romantic, and has very nice tables, especially the circle booths-NOT upstairs lol didn’t even feel like the same restaurant. But whatever, our own fault. Service was extremely slow, like empty glasses for 10+ minutes slow, but I’m overlooking that due to it being Valentine’s Day weekend and because our food was amazing. We also ordered from the regular menu instead of the special Valentine’s menu because I wanted more options. Started off with a cup of lobster bisque, SO good! Then calamari, only complaint is that I wish there would have been more, it was also delicious but definitely smaller portioned. Then for the main course, I got the truffle fries and Glacier Fed Skuna Bay Salmon. Absolutely the BEST salmon I’ve ever had in my life. The most tender, flaky, perfectly cooked and seasoned piece of fish ever, I was sitting there exclaiming to my husband about how totally perfect this salmon was, beautiful job by the cook!! And I haven’t had any truffle fries I didn’t like yet, also good! My husband had steak, he said it was a bit lacking with flavor but he still enjoyed it. We will definitely return, the food is worth the drive from Clarion, but will be sure to always sit downstairs for now on.More

We enjoyed dinner here on Valentine’s Day and had the breakfast buffet the next morning. We thoroughly enjoyed both. For dinner, they had the option of a four course meal or you could order off the menu. While the set meal choices looked good, we...chose to order off the menu. Our favorites were the lobster bisque and the goat cheese ravioli (divine!). We also really liked the calamari appetizer. For breakfast we had the buffet, which had an incredible amount of options. Favorites included the made-to-order omelettes (fresh ingredients- delicious!), carved prime rib, cheese blintz, and pierogies. The service was excellent for both meals. We couldn’t have been happier, and we will return.More

Had dinner here upon arrival at hotel. The menu looks really good, but the execution is way off. I had the Almost Heaven Ribeye and it was no where close to heavenly. It was small thin stringy steak that was cooked well done when I...had ordered medium rare. Though in fairness, a steak that thin probably couldnt be prepared medium rare.More

Our soup hit the table before our drinks. Our dessert dropped while we still had half our steak left. The chocolate cake had been previously frozen so was dry and awful. It was restaurant week, so they were clearly trying to turn the table, which...I found incredibly rude, and isn't the case with other top restaurants during restaurant week. The steak was delicious and cooked a perfect mid-rare, but it needed a sauce, and the server didn't offer any suggestions for an upsell. I wouldn't pay full price to eat there again. There are places with better food and service for commensurate prices. When we brought all this to the manager's attention, his response was, "thanks for letting me know."More

We are always pleased with the Thanksgiving Buffet and this year was no different. We ate early and had a nice booth at the back. Michael, our waiter, was great and really helped. The selections were pretty standard but it is nice to feel appreciated...and allowed as long as it takes at the table. Their selection of premium bourbons is impressive and their scotch old fashions are the best I have had in a long time. Good value for money.More

Chain steakhouse quality. Bland food. Steak was simply okay, no seasoning. Rice was horrid. Bathroom is too far away.

The restraunt and hotel is beautiful, but the food is not of the same quality. For the price I expected better. I put the food on the same quality as Texas Roadhouse.

Braddock's used to be our go-to restaurant when downtown for a show or event. The service was (and still is) and we brought many out of town friends there to experience delicious, affordable, and consistent quality food for many years. Unfortunately, with the name change...to Braddock's Rebellion so do did the menu change dramatically (in a negative direction) in the last year or so. Gone are the delicious tomato bisque soup, fish 'n' chips, and seasonal risotto. Gone also, are the reasonable prices. In the past you could enjoy dinner for 2 including a cup of soup or shared starter salad, and 2 entrees for under $50. Now the entrees start at $21 and go as high as $45 and sides are each a la carte. They have priced themselves out of affordability for many young adults (and I'm sure a number on less-young adults, too). I'm less interested in panko crusted squid, pork belly quesadillas, and steak tartare in both flavor and price than I was in their classic, delicous burger (available when you requested the pub menu for which they served in the entirety in the restaurant). Braddock's Rebellion is a restaurant with no clear identity anymore. The menu is, at best, eclectic and both the quality and price are dissatisfying. The atmosphere of downtown Pittsburgh dining has changed over the last 2-5 years with more emphasis put on the high end gourmet menu, small portions with large prices, and noisy atmospheres. Braddock's used to be a delicious, convenient, affordable and relaxed restaurant. Now it is just another Pittsburgh staple that changed their target audience and core products in order to remain competitive with the new downtown restaurant market that has seen the likes of compatriots such as The Diamond Market, Nine on Nine, Six Penn, and Le Lyonnais close since 2017.More

Tried the Spanish omelette at brunch - a ginormous serving stuffed with lots of goodies, and a great chat with the chef on the side :) Breakfast options were quite appetising and well presented, thanks also to good service every day

We rarely like “hotel” restaurants but the Saturday brunch here would be a stop on it’s own. $27 a person for normal breakfast food (biscuit/gravy, 2 types sausage, bacon, potatoes, etc), waffle station, pirogies, PRIME RIB & ham carving station, and omelet station. If you’re...a prime rib eater this place is for you. The service was great too.More

I'm sorry, I don't know. I didn't attend the theater while I was there, and as a result, I had no need to inquire about a theater discount.
