We ate the best seafood platter here. We can only recommend to try it out. We would also suggest booking a table in the lounge as it is cosier. Try the Crab tacos and beef Tatar as well as the seafood platter… and the Lime...pie. Friendly staff even though it was very busy.More

This is one of my favorite restaurants! The food was great as always. I do highly recommend reservations if you are planning to go for a holiday like Thanksgiving. You wouldn’t think it would be crowded, but I was really glad we did! I only...have 3 complaints of the night…while I loved being able to see the band, it was too loud being so close, which ended up with mistakes because we were brought a dessert when none of us ordered one and a almost untouched crab fried rice was thrown away instead of being packed up for us. Other than that, the turkey was the juiciest ever and the cranberry sauce was amazing! Loved that it was made from scratch and the spices in it! I’ve never thought about cranberry sauce that way and now I have new ideas! Definitely recommend! Btw, parking on a holiday isn’t an issue! Just park on the street free!More

Had an excellent dinner at Eddie V’s, The restaurant was fairly busy for a Monday evening. We did have reservations. Our server Jesse was great. Made suggestions and was very accommodating. We both had seafood dishes. Both were prepared well. Portions were good. This is...our second visit to an Eddie V’s. (Prior visit in CA) . Although it’s a chain they have high standards. Will continue to dine at Eddie Vs where possible.More

Fantastic Chilean Sea Bass and asparagus. The sea bass was cooked to perfection and the soy sauce was just the right amount. The crab fried rice was really good, but a little too salty for me. The band in the bar was fantastic! I wish...they played from 6:30-9:30 or 7-10 on Sundays. I will return! Fantastic food and very attentive waitstaff.More

My family and I ate here for the first time. Without exaggeration, this was the best meal we ever had at a restaurant, and our servers, especially Jeremy, were amazing. We will definitely keep coming back. We had appetizers, main dishes, accompaniments and desserts which...were all phenomenal. Also, the wine selection is pretty impressive. Thank you Eddie V’s in Pittsburgh!More

This is a restaurant with a classic steakhouse vibe, though it is primarily a seafood restaurant. The food was terrific, the cocktails were theatrical and tasty-try the smoked Old Fashioned-and service was quite good too. We would happily return.

I returned to Eddie V's for a business dinner. It continues to be one of the best restaurants in downtown Pittsburgh. The service from the hostess to the waiter was excellent. Our shrimp cocktail starters and halibut main courses were likewise excellent. The only issue...was that the starter was served way too quickly. It came before our bottle of wine was brought to the table. That's way too rushed. We had to delay ordering main courses so we could enjoy the wine. Also, no dress code is enforced. It's disappointing that some people wear casual clothes in the dining room. All things considered, I would return if in Pittsburgh.More

Excellent ambiance and perfect service from start till finish. Although the restaurant is large, it does not feel like this due to the compartments. The filet mignon was really the best ever in the world we ate. Keep on going the perfect friendly service.

This restaurant is amazing! We had such a wonderful experience and it was impressive from start to finish! The ambiance is lovely with beautiful decor and an impressive wine cellar. There was a 3 piece musical group that added a nice touch to the experience....Our waitress was Ash and she was amazing! She answered all of our questions about the menu and she made recommendations as well. We had the lobster bisque and caesar salad to start and both were delicious. We had the filet mignon and the filet with tempura lobster tales which were both excellent. Ash recommended we order small sizes for the side dishes and even then they were big! The lobster mashed potatoes were delicious. The cheese scalloped potatoes were too cheesy and when we told Ash she quickly changed these to the asparagus which was outstanding. For dessert the chocolate cake was yummy. There are lovely touches to the service like wet towels at the end of the meal. We would highly recommend this restaurant as it's worth every penny. But heads up there is only valet parking.More

This is a perfect destination if you are looking for exceptional seafood and service. The staff was wonderful and very attentive and knowledgeable. The quality of the food was outstanding and the selection was wide enough to cover a variety of tastes and appetites. We...chose to have our 35th wedding anniversary dinner there and I am so happy we did. The staff made it a special night for us, but it was nice to see that they treated all their patrons as special guests. As for the food, I cannot say enough about the sea bass and the steak tartare. Both were phenomenal and I would highly recommend Eddie V’s to anyone looking for a special meal.More

And the winner of the best seafood tower ever is Eddies! We got the $130 seafood tower, and it was far better than some we've paid far more for. Everything was super fresh, with delightful sauces and lots of them. No skimping, this was deluxe...and posh. We also got the Monterrey Corn, which is so poplar the internet is awash with knock-off versions. This would have been enough for a few more people, but my wife had the brilliant idea to get a round of oysters for dessert. All of that wonderfulness, and superb service, with six super-great adult drinks, was $334. Well worth it by any standard. Manager Christine and server Katie get huge shout-outs for such a great experience.More

We entered the restaurant to a wonderful singer that was very entertaining. Sat down to the table and the waitress, Liz, brought champagne on the house for everyone because we were celebrating a 60th Birthday. She was given a birthday card thanking her for choosing...Eddie Vs for dinner. The hostess brought birthday confetti and scattered it on the table. The beverages were cold and the bread was piping hot. Delicious!!! I ordered filet with horseradish, Brussel sprouts & au gratin potatoes. It was over the top!!! Everything was extraordinary. I was sitting with six other people and there was not a complaint to be had. We had asked for our checks and could not believe that Liz brought everyone dessert. She was a terrific waitress and we had a wonderful time in large part because of her. I will be back. On a scale of 1-10. I give it a 20!!!More

Terrible experience that lasted over 3 hours. I enjoyed my lobster tail and my lobster tacos because they were good. My mother ordered the mother’s days meal and wanted a salad with her meal, it was her first time there and she explained that. She...ordered a Caesar salad. When her meal came, there was a salad. So we explained she would not be eating another salad and didn’t know she was getting one, the manager came over and offered her a soup instead of the salad. And noticed she barely touched her meal and offered her the avocado toast and took the quiche away.m. The quiche was dry and mass produced for the Mother’s Day menu. This menu is unfortunate because really, we should want the moms to have the BEST experience. The manager charged mom for the soup he offered her. I complained and he said he added the soup to the bill because it was cheaper than the salad. We explained that HE offered her that soup as a service to make her feel better about her second salad and dry quiche he took back. He took the soup off the bill and added a $13 salad. She barely ate any of it. He did not have any concern about her satisfaction at all. No resolve. It was not worth the $13 Eddie V’s manager added to the check because he had 4 customers that were disappointed in the service and the resolve. I was there on Easter and ordered that quiche. I told them in a review that it was dry and probably mass produced. But not a good taste. All of this back and forth had us at the table for 3 hours. HORRIBLE white table cloth experience. Unprofessional management and I wonder if it was racism or just incompetence thumbs down to Eddie V’s. There are more professional restaurants with better food in the area. I only noticed the $13 salad he added after I made payment or I would have tried to reach a general manager to alert them of the poor service.More
