Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have visited Pittsburgh on a regular basis and have ordered pies on several occasions. Each time the pies were ok. This one was a thin crust, pep, sausage, and onion. There was little to no cheese and the same for the ingredients. Thus, rendering...it tasteless. I ordered a medium and the cost was over $25.00. Crazy. Will continue to support local shops but will visit the Edgewood center much less often.More

Passing through the area and visiting family we tried Joe & Pie. The hot Italian sub was top quality. All the officially required meats for a hot Italian were there, correct cheese, the onion, hot pepper, and a delicious bun toasted perfectly. Very impressive. Others...had the pizza which was also good. You won't go wrong here.More

I have eaten here several times lately since they deliver to the area where I stay while in Pittsburgh. Trust me, the pizza always satisfies. So, on my last visit I decided to have other options. First I tried the pasta, plain spaghetti with marinara....It was just ok. The portions were great, flavor middle of the road. I also tried the chicken gyro. Pita bread was wonderful, yet, the ingredients were so so as to flavor. The chicken seemed to be the kind purchased in a grocery store. It reminded me of the precut Tyson in a bag. The sauce was not infused with cucumber and expected, more mayo based. Won't order again. I also had the pep rolls. They were very tasty with soft dough and a sprinkle of parm. I will order again. So without a doubt the pizza gets a 5 rating and I will continue to support Joe & pie for it. Will still try other menu items to see what I think.More

Pizza was ok. The place was not as clean as it obviously could be. The service and supplies were awful. I wasted my time and my opportunity to finally eat out as a family amongst all of the Covid-19 restrictions. I guess no contact also...means no decent service. The guy who took our order as the cash register acted as if we were bothering him asking about the options. We ended up with cheese and pepperoni slices and a bottle of dole lemonade. I am so very disappointed.More

During the pandemic, Pittsburgh restaurants are hurting; many are just closed and all have reduced hours. Luckily, this was the closest to our hotel and it was quite good. Excellent breakfast food and really good shakes. I will come here after all this is over.

My husband and I stumbled on this place because it delivered to where we used to live. Since then, we won’t buy pizza anywhere else, and we’ve recommended it to all of our friends. In fact, if we have pizza while people are visiting, they...always ask where they can order their own later because they love it so much!More

At first look you would think you were about to eat something awesome. When you cut it open the first thing you notice is the red liquid oozing out. It fills the entire box and begins to run out the corners onto me, my desk...and the floor! once I get it onto a plate and clean my desk and Jeans up I cut my first piece and see that the meat is steakum, WTF! first bite I get steakum and uncooked green peppers, YUCK! I've had their pizza before and that's about all I will ever get again. This calzone is not worth 15 (after taxes)More

Note to future self: avoid pizza shops that serve breakfast. Staying at the Westin and stopped here trying to save a few bucks vs the expensive downtown hotel breakfast. Didn’t really save much and the food was terrible. Eggs were over cooked and rubbery. Bacon...was grisly. French toast picked up flavors of everything else they cook on that grill. Pizza may be just fine at this place but avoid the breakfast.More

We stopped in for dinner on our way to PNC Park to watch the Chicago Cubs play the Pirates. We found the service to be quick and friendly. The pizza was great - not quite as great as the pizza you would find in Chicago...but we are a bit biased though. The ingredients were plentiful and tasty.More

Went here twice because close proximity to hotel first day they got the order right, but there were very few people in place but when it came out even tho I was at a table they had put it in a take out box, while...other people had plates. I commented on this. the next day went with daughter and grandson. More people in the place, but everyone around us getting served before us, so we went up and they said they would look into it, our order was never made, so they turned it over to someone else and it still took forever, asked for refund and then it came out. Food very greasy and a bit too salty. Will never come back.More

I just had one of the best veggie omelets here. The portion is quite ridiculous... so so big that can easily be shared. They don't use pork products so skip the beef bacon. Beats the overpriced breakfast at the Westin by a mile. I ate...inside and it was clean. Their coffee is good too.More
