Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great breakfast place. Finally someone who knows how to cook a proper breakfast. Perfect eggs and potatoes, good coffee and very friendly service. If there was a place like this near where I live I would go there everyday.

After visiting the nearby Cathedral Of Learning, Pamela's was the perfect pit stop for a spot of brunch before heading back downtown . There was a small wait for a table which was to be expected as it's not that large and it was pretty...busy. Once seated our order was taken promptly and the drinks and waters arrived in minutes. The food came out soon afterwards and it was a feast to behold, my corned beef & Swiss omelet was delicious, oozing with cheese and crispy corned beef bits served with Lyonnaise potatoes ( yummy) and a round of toast. The fried eggs were cooked as requested and perfect - served with sausage , extra bacon , potatoes and toast. Everything was great, the service was friendly and efficient and the diner had a lovely atmosphere. Well worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood.More

On our Steelers weekend in the Burgh, we needed a meal in between activities, and chose Pamela's because of its proximity to Phipps. Having never been there, we were very happy with the waiting list that we could monitor, and which went quicker than expected....Then it was attentive service and a good meal, with especially yummy hot cakes. When next we return from New York, we will head here!More

Everything is delicious. The hot cake crepes are so good. And they do now accept credit cards. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

It has been MANY years since I have been to Pamela's. Used to come frequently while in college, that was 15 years ago. Was in the city for a Pens game and decided to re-visit my old favorite breakfast spot. It is still just as...good as I remember it. Glad to see it is still thriving and just as popular as before. Brought back some very fond memories. Service was excellent, food was plentiful and tasty and not too expensive. Definitely a must when in da Burgh.More

Great service, and I mean great service. The food is awesome as well. In town for the long weekend and ate there each morning. Get there early if you don’t want a long wait.

I haven't been here since 2012, but I still remembered how good the meal was and I was not disappointed by my second trip. I think I even got the same order. I absolutely love the Lyonnaise potatoes. My teen (who was only 4 last...time we were here) doesn't even generally like potatoes and she couldn't get enough of them. There was a bit of a wait, but there were plenty of places to shop in the area while we waited. They will text you when your table is ready. They take credit cards now too. I sincerely hope that I get to eat here again before 2032.More

As a Pittsburgh native, I cannot recommend this diner enough! I have been to this location and others multiple times. Depending on the day of the week and time of day, the wait can range from immediate seating to about a 10 minute wait from...my experiences. The food is great and the staff are very friendly. My personal favorite is the blueberry crepe-style pancakes stuffed with brown sugar and sour cream. It's a unique combo but it's delicious! All visitors to the area should definitely check this place out!More

My husband and I stopped here for breakfast. There was no wait and our meals came out in less than 10 minutes. He got an omelette and I got one of the breakfast specials that had eggs, pancakes, and bacon. Everything was delicious. We would...definitely come back again! The only thing he was disappointed about was that at this location the Pittsburgh Hash was not on the menu like it was at the one in the Strip District, but luckily found another option.More

I have attempted so many time to visit this place, but the line was always too long. But success, it finally happened! And it was worth the wait. Yes, it is breakfast. But it's the little things. Well prepared food. Great service. For a fair...price. This place has it all. I selected the "Morning After Breakfast Special". All was really good, but I especially enjoyed their crepe-style pancakes. Soooo good! A must try.More
