Ok Restaurant

Hubby was in the mood for Steak and we've decided to go to Longhorn Steakhouse for a late lunch. Luckily, Longhorn Steakhouse is open throughout the whole day, so we easily stopped by for some Steak. The fried Pita with the Parmesan Spinach Dip was a bit too oily, so ended up mostly eating the Spinach Dip by itself instead of the fried Pita. Steak was good though - not overly cooked. Good restaurant to stop by if you decide to have lunch at 3pm / off times.

Excellent steaks!

We love this place and go often. Lunch goes right into dinner, so you can go any time you are hungry. The service was super, and the steak was cooked perfectly. We are never disappointed!

Longhorn is my autistic son's favorite place to eat. The food is consistently good and the atmosphere is as warm and friendly as you would expect from a chain-style steak house. Try their Longhorn branded Knob Creek bourbon!

Food was very long in coming, broccoli had way to much salt,steak was tuff, I usually live this place. but what happened? All they said was sorry. Well that does not cut it with me. Fix your problem!! Just don't say you will give a free dessert how cares about dessert when your meal sucked

Lousy Service and Food

I really had looked forward to a nice steak meal on a rainy evening. Boy, was I disappointed! The hostess was curt about a long wait for a table although she seated me about three minutes after I arrived. The waitress was also curt and treated me as a solo diner, which I was. Ordered the most expensive steak on the menu. Never received my salad that was included in my meal. The steak had the consistency of a fine shoe leather. The only positive aspect of my meal was a delicious, loaded baked potato. Stay away unless you enjoy bad service and food!

Good luck with good service

What is it about average food and poor service now a days. There are plenty of restaurants around and they all seem to have morphed into mediocrity. I visited Longhorn Steakhouse in Norristown tonight (June 5 at 7:30 pm). I ate at the bar, I ordered a steak and baked potato. I also asked if there was bread and the response was ‘of course’. The bread never came. The steak and potato came out and there were no salt or pepper shakers around. After a few minutes of my food getting cold I was able to get the bar tenders attention and I asked for salt and pepper. The response was ‘of course’. I was never asked if the food came out okay. I also finished my beer and was never asked if I wanted a refill. Now I’m headed across the street to have a beer at another place. Is it that people just don’t care any more and take no pride in a good work ethic? Have we raised a bunch of lazy entitled people? Whatever the case I’m sure the management response, if there is one, will be this is a one off issue. OBTW the place was not really busy……

No concept of a reservation

Called ahead, just past 5pm, and asked what the current wait was for two people. Was told there was no wait. So I asked whether I could make a reservation. The young lady said yes and asked when we would be there. Told her we'd be there in twenty minutes. OK, great. Arrived a couple minutes under twenty, but when we got inside we were told that we'd have at least a thirty minute wait. Me: But when I talked to you just twenty minutes ago, you said there was no wait. Hostess: Yes, but there's a thirty minute wait now. Me: But when I spoke to you on the phone you took a reservation from me. What's the point of the reservation? Hostess: Sorry, but we've seated other people. Now there's a thirty minute wait. So we cancelled our "reservation" and left.

Best Server Ever (David O)

This is our “go to” restaurant, as the food never disappoints. The bread is brought to you good and warm. The steals are cooked just like you ask and are good meat to begin with. The drinks, appetizers and desserts are excellent. To top it off, we had an outstanding server.

Best restaurant meal

My daughter said “best restaurant meal I’ve ever had” (she’s 25 yrs). Steaks were very flavorful. The pecan strawberry side salad was wonderful (although an additional cost - worth it!). My daughter got the iron steak (medium well) and my husband and I got Flo’s filet (medium). Both kinds were so good. Mother got the onion soup and enjoyed that a lot.

Best steaks around

Longhorn knows how to make a steak. I had a sirloin steak it came out with a nice char on the outside and medium on the inside melted in my mouth. Sweet potato and a bowl of french onion soup. Their french onion soup is the best i ever had. Great price 6 oz steak for $12.95 and $2.95 up charge for a bowl of french onion soup in place of a salad. Had a coupon for a free desert. Got the stampede it’s two pieces of 6 different chocolate cake with two scoops of vanilla ice cream. Great meal.

I had the baby back ribs which were quite tender. My sides were mashed potatoes and broccoli which were both quite good. My husband's chicken dish was appetizing and even better than the ribs. We shared the strawberry shortcake for dessert which was excellent.

Our visit to Longhorn in Norristown was great. We had the Parmesan Crusted Chicken and the Outlaw Ribeye. Both prepared excellent as usual. Then, as we were prepared to leave, the manager queried who was driving? My wife and I were confused about this question as we each only had one Miller Lite with our meal. So we felt that this question was not appropriate and somewhat stained our otherwise perfect experience. This will not alter our decision to return.

Better than expected, but not perfect

We haven’t been there for a long time because the food was soooo salty. Decided to give it another try. We used the call ahead feature to avoid a long wait. Our server was friendly & relatively efficient. Our entrees arrived while we were still eating our salads, which were very good, by the way. The loaded baked potato and baked sweet potato were very good. All calorie counts are listed on the menu, so pay attention. One of the desserts had over 2400 calories, even if it serves 2. We were able to request less seasonings/salt on our steaks. The steaks were tender and flavorful, but both of us had to send ours back because they were raw in the center (not rare, raw). For a steakhouse, this should not be the case. We would con going back because the prices offer a good value.
