I have lived near Zwahlens my whole life, and every month I browse through the flavor of the day menu to choose which day I'll splurge on a quart to bring home. The ice cream is creamy, fresh, and delicious. Way better than any store-bought tub could ever be. The caramel apples are big, thick, and incredible, wonderful for special occasions. The chocolates are decadent, and the hot fudge is truly a dream. My favorite ever dessert here was when the dessert of the month was a big chocolate chip blondie with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and fudge. 100% recommend.

Staff greeted me with a smile and seemed anxious to serve. The atmosphere is that of a Bavarian shop with large chocolate displays and an ice cream counter.
Guests may eat at a table inside or on the patio. Seating is open and all orders are placed and picked up at the counter register. Week night was steady but no wait. I can see a weekend night running out of parking. However it is a joining a large parking lot for the neighboring plaza that has an Orange Theory and Panera and Chinese restaurant amongst some other business.
Access to main road like Trooper and Egypt is pretty convenient. Walking distance to Homewood Suites hotel and Tru by Hilton.
Base ice cream flavors is pretty limited, but toppings and blended treats abound.
Chocolate treasures range from standard box of chocolate truffles to chocolate decorated Nutter Butters that look like flip flops. They also have Oreo's and graham crackers dipped and decorated. Most items are sold by the pound. Typically $20 to $38 per pound. Ice cream scoop of the day is $3.18.
Great example of "If you are going to do something, do it well."

I highly recommend Zwahlen’s! I keep an eye on their homemade ice cream flavor calendar and have not been disappointed whenever I go. I always consider Zwahlen’s when looking for gifts because of their quality and to support a local business. I recently pre-ordered a chocolate gift basket and they did a fantastic job following any special requests I had.

Despite having a local ice cream shop in our neighborhood, we typically drive further to come here. They constantly change the flavors and have the best caramel apples. Highly recommend.

It's a little over price very creamy ice cream I have been here a few times and we will go back it's not an everyday place due to cost but great for a special night out

This is my favorite spot for treating myself or for edible gifts. Quality is consistently high and always a nice selection of chocolate treats. Definitely a local favorite.

My girlfriend and I love going here for the ice cream. The interior and exterior of the building look like a house you could find in the Swiss Alps. Besides the decor, the ice cream here is absolutely amazing, especially Steinschlag (ice cream and brownies) and the Swiss waffle. My girlfriend doesn't even like sweets, but this is an exception for her. Expect long lines in the evenings and in the summer time but it is worth the wait. If you are okay with it, I recommend going in the winter time on an afternoon because it is not as crowded. This place has not disappointed me, my girlfriend or friends yet.

Today is Wed before Thanksgiving. I headed over to the store to buy 3 carmel apples reaching there at 9:01 PM only to find the store crowded and doors locked. I checked the times on the website it said open until 10PM. A kind employee let me in the door only to find that the regesters were closed? with a store full of people? i know when i go there i always take stuff home.. So no Apples for me i'm very disappointed and so will my God Kids...Fix your hours on the website

Zwahlens is a hot spot for the area. They serve three flavors: vanilla, chocolate, and the flavor of the day which rotates. All are made homemade and silky smooth. If you haven't hit Zwahlen's, then you are missing out big time. Check out their flavor calendar to make sure they are serving a flavor you like - flavors are unique and creative. I've never had a bad ice cream.

This place will never disappoint me. Friendly, Clean, Family owned establishment that you can tell it loves what they do and they care. Prices are not cheap, but you get what you pay for. They are right inline with all of the other Ice Cream (Restaurants) in the area! Made on site not in a factory!

Very creative flavors & all home made ice cream and candy!
Specialty is their chocolate / caramel covered apples. They sell out around the holidays so place an order if you want to make sure they are available.

The subject says it all !! They also have the cutest treats to buy. Very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. A family friendly place to take your kids for a little treat. You will not be disappointed.
