Very helpful staff in a brilliant location, we went to Inkies mostly for breakfast and the menu was very reasonably priced with the quality of the food being excellent. We tried a selection of different dishes, pancakes, beef brisket, etc. all of which were fantastic. The location for this great place is also rather awesome, sitting out in one of their covered seating areas surrounded by the river and some great trees made this visit especially good.

Had a walk round the beautiful Golitha falls, prepared by having small breakfast after hearing great things about this place. Arrived around 1215 and ordered our food, I had pigs in blankets (pulled pork in a wrap) and my partner had the same in bricoch. The portion was hugh and my OH was very pleased with the different sauces you had table side to add. After we arrived it filled up pretty quick but as I said service is fast. Dog friendly. Just be aware that they don’t take cards so cash or Paypal only. Lovely spot, a hidden gem.

I was taken to lunchat Inkies by a friend. The last time Ihad eaten Inkies it was outof a horse trailer in a layby. Good to see them doing well and making a go of it. Very friendly customer service. My friend who was buying lunch forgot they do not take cards and was short of cash. They merely gave him their bank details and asked he make a transfer when convenient. Do not see that much these days. Food portion was large. We ordered the sandwich with both the pulled pork and brisket. I thought it had a bit much liquid smoke on it. I am not a fan of liquid smoke but understand an operation such as this has a necesity to use it. Just thought the meat was a bit bland. Could just be the day or the meat. I smoke as well and understand you can do the same thing to two different joints and they will be totally different. I will try Inkies again and you should try it.

Went for a walk at golitha falls and having read about this place, thought we'd give it a try. First issue was the wait in the queue to order, there were about 4 groups ordering before us and it took around 40 minutes just to order. Not sure how it could take this long but as we saw the food coming out looked really good we stuck with it. Finally ordered food (which took ages) and then sat down, waited another 30 minutes for meals, finally arrived and looked great, however, there was a real lack of flavour in all of it. To be fair, the buns were quite good m, but the pulled pork had no seasoning and also needed some acidity which was sadly lacking from the slaw. The hot sauce which I had chose was also completely lacking in flavour, and more importantly heat. All in all it appears to be another cornish establishment which is overhyped and underperformed.

This is a difficult one to review because food is delicious and staff are great and acknowledged the delay. But when there is a huge selection of milkshakes, soda floats and hot chocolates to choose from the queue is incredibly slow to go down! There were 10 people/groups in front of me and l queued for 30 minutes for one burger. Once ordered, my food was quick to come out and very good. Perhaps give people a number for their drink as well as their food to keep the queue moving?

Can't see what all the fuss is about, we ordered a smoked beef in a bap and a pulled pork bap £9 each. It was served in a box with a plastic fork and wooden knife, the fork snapped the first time I used it and knife wouldn't cut through the beef. The portions are large but we had to leave half of it so felt guilty about good wastage. The only ladies toilet had a broken flush and blocked with toilet paper. We won't be visiting again.

I rode down on the motorbike with a couple of mates having heard raving reviews about Inkie's smokehouse. There was plenty of parking for both cars and motorbikes and fortunately we couldn't have asked for better weather. The location is absolutely gorgeous and we ended up taking a stroll to see the cascades and waterfall, we ended up working quite the appetite! There was a fair amount of seating available but it did start getting busy near around lunch time, the atmosphere was quite chill and the staff were all lovely and friendly. In terms of the food, I myself got the wood stack which is both the pulled pork and beef brisket in a burger as well as a side of potato salad. My mates ordered similar items including a serving of mac and cheese. The burgers arrived fairly quickly and let me tell you, it was one of the best things I've had in a very long time. The meat was so succulent and had such a deep smoky flavour, you could really tell this place means business! The potato salad was similarly amazing and I am ashamed to admit I could not finish the entire thing which was an amazing value for money meal. The only thing I regret is not asking for more barbeque sauce so if you do visit make sure to get some extra sauce! Overall, 10/10 would and will visit again. Service

Stopped by Inkies after a very rainy walk around Golitha Falls and the surrounding area. Staff were very friendly and food was cooked very quickly, I think we had our order within 5 mins. They are currently running a smaller menu, but still offer a vegetarian option in the form of a delicious halloumi burger. Also on offer are a large range of beers to take away. Both Golitha Falls and Inkies are a must visit to anyone in Cornwall!

It never fails to deliver! Yes the queing can be tedious and they need to sort out their ordering system, but it is so worth the wait. No matter what you order (and what to have on this return visit is always a delightful dilemma) you can rest assured it will be top notch, delicious and generous in portion size! The staff, no matter how hectic it might be, are super friendly, smiling and helpful. Fantastic to find a place that does real American style BBQ foods, where they do it properly, use top of the range product but manage to keep the cost affordable. We plumped for the BBQ chicken nachos this time and they were simply the best you’ll find anywhere and only £8! The drinks also amazing. This time it was chai latte and a smoothie made with sorbet and Pelegrín’s (blood orange and raspberry?

Stopped off here at the end of our holiday last week as we wanted to visit Golitha Falls with our puppy. Car parking is free for visiting the falls and only a message asking if we could support the cafe which we were more than happy to do after our walk. Lovely range of food and drink, very reasonable prices and very dog friendly. All the staff were very pleasant and only a shame we found it on our way home. Will definitely visit next time we're down.

Found this little gem whilst looking for places to eat on our holiday. Based on the car park for Golitha Falls, we arrived early having read reviews saying the car park filled up quickly. We had a selection of waffles and breakfast sandwiches and they were amazing! Freshly cooked, soft waffles and smoky thick cuts of meat. After polishing that odd and after a short trek to the falls themselves, we returned to Inkies for milkshakes, again, delicious. The place opened at 10 am and by the time we were leaving, at around 12:30 there was a queue for food and for parking spaces. Certainly a popular little spot but worthy of all the great reviews.

My wife had found Golitha Falls while researching places to explore with our friends, their 2 year old and our 12 year old Springador on our staycation this year. She noticed Inkie’s was next to the falls and suggested we try it for lunch. The smoked meats were simply amazing, the staff super friendly and the potato salad was the best we’d had in a long time. There was even a child’s hotdog called the puppy dog that the lady taking our order suggested for the 2 year old and a halloumi bun for our veggie friend. Oh and my wife loved the pickles as a side she even took the leftovers back to our lodge. Well worth a trip here even if you don’t explore the falls!

I have had two different people say I should go here for a while. Kept saying yes I must but didn’t go !! Partners birthday on the weekend and I thought perfect opportunity to take dogs for a walk and get breakfast afterwards. Can’t believe I haven’t been here before. As loads of others have said, this is proper lush. We had a lovely breakfast, plenty of food and it was great quality. The ladies working there seemed super friendly and the lad was very polite who delivered our food. Definitely will be coming back for the lunchtime menu. So so good, :-))))

Found this great place when staying nearby. The food is amazing and the service great. They are very Covid secure and it felt safe. They weren’t allowing people to sit when we visited. I asked about gluten free before going and the lady kindly got gluten free flour to make my daughter some waffles. However, I think because it’s cooked in same kitchen it can’t be advertised as full gluten free. Waffles were amazing, as was the breakfast patties. We even made an extra trip to go back again. Thanks

Great find in central Cornwall, cannot recommend enough if you love American style smokehouse BBQ. Especially great for coeiliacs and those who need to be gluten free, lady at the kiosk was very knowledgeable and they could adapt most things on the menu easily. We had the beautifully smoked brisket and pulled pork as a platter, it was so good we went back on our way home to take some with us for dinner! The potato salad was also amazing, and the shakes definitely an indulgence but so worth it. Will definitely go back on our next visit.
