Bad experience

I asked for a clam chowder soup. I got an unpleasant and really cold soup along with an unhappy server. When I let them know, a well-educated man brought a new one, taking away the first one. The waiter was rushing me and upset since I just had the soup.

Celebration with the grands

This place has very courteous waiters, but the time waiting for simple dishes was way too long. The food was just so-so; edible-yes, healthy-not so much. The tomatoes for my side salad were mushy and the tuna I had was served on white bread (no other options available). My granddaughter ordered a cute "chicken dippers" meal. When it came out she was disappointed because it didn't come out looking like the menu photo. But it is Friendly's and although I wouldn't return for the food, their ice cream sundaes are still delicious.

Dirty uniforms and floor

We went to have lunch at Friendly. My first impression of the place was semi dirty. The carpet had food crumbles all through. The waiter had food stains on his uniform. I was surprise to see that the place was packed and a lot of them were having ice cream sundaes. I ordered patty melt and it was just ok. I don't think I would go back there any time soon.

Location- 150 W Germantown Pike Norristown, Pa 19401 So I did not even realize that this place already had such low ratings. There has been a recent change of management there is a gentleman there that manages with no customer service. He screwed up our order and refused to refund the money told us that he cannot reverse the charge on a debit card which any bank will do. We went back-and-forth and the customer is always right does not work at this place of business. Consumer beware... The doors are dirty have not been cleaned in months The carpets and booths are dirty as well and most of all the management matches the look of the place. Love their meals and atmosphere. Fish n Chips and crispy fried chicken salad are my favorites. Their breakfasts and ice cream treats are delicious.

50% off Breakfast

Most seniors need to be frugal. Friendly's helps us. Their breakfast menu is 50% off, I think until 11 a.m. I had a delicious vegetable omelette with homefries, and toast. My husband had a meat lovers omelette with bacon, sausage, cheese and homefries. We both had coffee. Price was so reasonable. We also stop for dinners for $5. My husband has the burger with fries and I have the chicken rancho salad. We have this with water to save money. Portions are large enough and the food is delicious. It is a nice outing that we can afford. Servers have all been courteous and professional. Check out the bargains at Friendly's.

Try the $5.55 deal!

Finding a food special for $5.55 that is edible and delicious is a big deal - at least to me. My husband and I have been going to Friendly's all summer long and getting the $5.55 special. I get the Chicken Bacon Salad and my husband gets the double cheeseburger with fries. We both get water with lemon. Our meal, including tax and tip, comes to $15.00. A treat each week. Today they were understaffed and all patrons were seated in one section and made me feel a little uncomfortable. The music selection was horrible and too loud. Our waitress was very polite. Go and enjoy!

Food Okay But Slow Service

We visited this Friendly's with family. The food was tasty and the server was nice; however, the server didn't check on us often, the food came slowly and they messed up several ice cream orders. Also, they were skimpy with the ice cream toppings.

No one was at door to seat us for a LONG time, and once we were finally seated they didn't get our drinks correct. The food took forever to be served (and there were only two other customers in the restaurant when we arrived). Waited for a long time to get our check.

Really bad service

I should have walked out when we were seated but we were in a hurry. We went for breakfast and walked in and waited at the hostess stand to be seated per the sign as nobody was there. The man who apparently was seating people (he was cleaning tables when we walked in) was about 20 feet from us and as a big group walked in the door behind us he waived what looked like hello toward that group behind us without uttering a single word. None of us moved but apparently he wanted us to follow him though he had no menus in his hand and upon seeing we weren't following he sarcastically and more pronoucedly waived again walking toward us and in a dripping "hey idiot" tone said "hellllooooooo??!!!" clearly annoyed that we missed his first oh so clear hand signal from across the room. He annoyedly threw the menus on the table and turned and walked away never saying a word or even acknowledging our presence. I'm not an easy guy to tick off but this kinda did it. After that the waitress was nice but ignored us and the meal took about 90 minutes (so much for that hurry). the food was okay and the waitress was actually nice but maybe stretched too thin? We never got utensils and when asked for them she never returned, we got them from another waiter who couldn't have been nicer and apologized - which saved this place from getting the worst rating possible. All in all I won't be back just based on the very un-friendly (pun intended) individual that seated us alone.

Surprised Breakfast Menu

Wanted to try Friendly's for breakfast and was delightfully surprised. I had the omelette, which was fluffy and delicious.The other three people were very satisfied with their meals. The portions were large. Good service.

Fun ice dream treats for the whole family

We had dinner at a nearby Asian restaurant and then walked across the street to Friendly's for ice cream. Our daughters family got a Friendly's Crowd Pleasers-6 scoops of ice cream and 6 flavors of topping, which they polished off. Stephen had a dish of ice cream and I had a Forbidden Fudge Brownie Sundae. Theo only disappointment was that the pieces of brownie were all at the top and not throughout the sundae. But I still enjoyed it.
