Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Stockport Mill and Inn is a great place to have a home-cooked meal in a beautiful setting. The old refurbished mill is a great setting for a restaurant and an inn. You can watch the Muskingum river rushing by while eating turkey, meatloaf, salad, vegetables, desserts, etc. that taste just like the food Mom cooks. We had the buffet and I especially enjoyed the homemade noodles and the Whoopie pie cake. Yum! For $15 and some change, it was a relaxing way to spend an hour.

We had just stopped in for lunch. They had a nice buffet that was reasonably priced. The food was very good. Fried chicken, roast beef , lots of veggie, hot rolls, dessert. Perfect Sunday dinner.

The coolest thing about this destination is being able to open your patio doors and hear the roar of the water as it cascades over the dam. Each room comes with a jacuzzi tub. The entire structure is a historical gem.

We stayed in the Captain Hook Room and enjoyed it very much. The Inn is absolutely charming and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

After traveling all day, we stopped at the Inn for the night, and ate at the restaurant. Every item we ate was fresh and delicious. I have never raved about rolls and butter, but these were the best! The Southwest Chicken Breast was so tender with amazing flavor. Be aware that this restaurant is only open Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday for lunch. Also, I wish our waitress was more knowledgable of the items on the menu. She had no idea what some dishes, especially the desserts, were. With the limited menu, this was very surprising.
