Excellent barbecue

We stopped here while on a road trip headed south. Everything was excellent! Sierra was such a great server and she provided a great experience for our first time here. And the food was all so good! All of the sauces are amazing and we loved all of the food! The macaroni and cheese was so creamy and the meat was all so tender. The sampler platters are a great choice so you can try all of their meats! And save room for the Apple crisp! If we ever travel through here again, we would definitely return.

Great New BBQ

I met a friend for lunch to try out some tasty BBQ since it is new. We sat outside on the patio next to the smoker. We enjoyed an amazing 3-cheese brisket dip with deep-fried tortilla strips as our appetizer. I ordered the brisket sandwich and my friend the smoked turkey on a croissant. We both ordered mac n cheese as our sides. I also brought home a sampler that had smoked sausage, turkey, pulled pork, brisket, 2 sides (I chose coleslaw and baked beans), and Texas toast. All were very good. Service was fairly quick and super friendly. A wonderful establishment that seems to be quite popular despite opening during a pandemic.

Great place! The pork quesadillas taste like simple good BBQ and the tortilla is crispy and good. Baked beans are loaded with pork. I had a great cider on tap. Sierra was very good and attentive

Great ribs! No alcohol

A Taste of Memphis is located in an old bar in Marion. Plenty of free parking. The door was just a little narrow making my wheelchair access a bit difficult. Our server, Joy, was perfect with fast service and a contagious smile. My sweet tea was good, but I wish they would serve alcohol. I got a huge rack of perfectly cooked ribs, Mexican corn on the cob, and macaroni and cheese. Everything was delicious and portions were great. The server said that she thought they would eventually get their alcohol license. In the meantime, go there for the food and great service.

The service was good but the food mediocre. They were very accommodating since we added an additional person late and they had to move us to a larger table. They do not have a liquor license so if you are thinking about going for a beer forget it. One of our friends placed a takeout order for her husband. When he tried them he said they were terrible, she agreed and they threw them out. This restaurant is not on my list to return anytime soon!

Hidden Gem in Ohio

Excellent Food! Couldn’t decide what we wanted, so we went the Sampler route… Perfect decision… not a single unsavory morsel passed through my lips.. coleslaw was on point, pulled pork, brisket, turkey, sausage. Had a cool vibe, never dreamed we were way up in Ohio with the awesome sweet tea! A must try!

We have been here three times since it opened and every time I am less impressed than the last. We visited in the summer for lunch during the car show. Smoked turkey was good, and I enjoyed the brisket, however the ribs were cold. The sides are good and the portion sizes are generous. We will give it another chance as I am a big fan of BBQ.

Wow..just wow!

Wow..just wow! I had heard some of my colleagues in Delaware talk about this place so thought I’d make the 30 min trip to see if this place was for real! We got the large sampler of brisket. Ribs and chicken...these guys nailed it. The corn bread has to be the best in the region! Good, good job We got our as a take-out order....the seats in this place was completely full at 5p. They’ve got something good happening here!

Their fried chicken is the best I've had and you get alot! 3 leg and thigh quarters, the Mac and cheese was hot and delicious. The service was excellent and the owner even came out and talked to us. Next time I'm getting chicken and waffles!

I placed an order on the website that states, "Taste of Memphis, created by wix.com" I received TWO emails from Taste of Memphis, one stating they got my order, and the second one, stating, that I can pick up my order between 8:30 and 8:40, because the door states that they don't close until 9pm. My card was also charged saying *STORE ATatsteofMemphis. My fiance and I get to the restaurant to pick up our food at 8:35pm, and the doors are locked and you can't get in. So I call them, and the girl answers, and I tell her what's going on and she states, we don't have any online orders. And then she said, we don't have a website. And something about it being door dash, and door dash created in and then it went to someone already picked it up. 2 different stories in a matter of a 3 minute phone call. Plus when I said I will call and speak to the manager or the owner tomorrow, the girl then stated "That's fine my family owns this place anyways." And so I talked to them this morning, and they proceed to tell me it's doordash again, which how does door dash have a right to make a website OUTSIDE of door dash, WITHOUT the stores permission? 🤔 So I told them I wanted my money back and I don't want to deal with them anymore. Also to top it off, while I was there, 2 ACTUAL doordashers showed up to get people's orders, and they couldn't even get in and had to cancel their deliveries, because they decided to close at 8:30 and they I guess stop taking orders at 8 even though they don't close until 9? I mean I can understand stop taking orders at 8:30, so you can finish up everything and clean and still get out at by 9:30. But to literally have the store closed and the staff waiting behind the bar with coats on, refusing to let people come in and get the food that they PAID for? To then top it off, not only did I not get my food, but I also didn't get my money back. Screw it, I can eat at home with my family and make the same stuff they make, and pretend it's food from Tennessee too. It's not like it's nothin that city bbq doesn't make as well, at least you can PAY AND get your food on a website that has their name on it, created by them, and they will actually double check to make sure it's the RIGHT food. 🤷‍♀️ #becareful #theyclosesoonerthantheysay #theyactentitled #spoonfed

I have heard good and bad reviews of this new restaurant. I LOVE bar-b-q so I had to try it. The place looks like industrial meets the blues. We ordered the sampler platter and tried the ribs, pulled pork and brisket. The ribs were actually very good. The pulled pork and brisket were dry and had no taste. Thank God we could cover it in sauce to give it some taste. The pork rind appetizer was recommended and good. I have enjoyed bar-b-q in Memphis many times and this ain't it.
