Fantastic food and excellent dessert

Fantastic food in a cool space. The catfish was excellent, and the fried chicken had a great crunch as well as texture and flavor. Their corn on the cob is done well, crisp and served with a generous pat of butter (not the sad soggy things you get at other restaurants). The collards are comfortable and not spicy but ask for vinegar (it's southern, but maybe not that southern). Best of all, the owner gave us a slice of fruity pebbles cheesecake to sample and it was truly one of the best little desserts I've ever had; sweet, creamy and fruity with a nice crust. Ate it all too fast to get pictures. I'll be back again soon.

Real Southern Food

Our family of 10 met up in Marion to celebrate my birthday. It is an easy halfway place for us all. My daughter and DIL looked here on Trip Advisor and online for a restaurant. We like local vs chains. So after lots of looking, they decided on Attaboys. (Side note: Restaurants, please try to keep your websites up to date. It’s important). We could not have been happier with out choice. Some insights: 1. Handled the seating of 10 easily. 2. Lots of menu choices and good prices. 3. Efficient and very nice waitress. Wait time on our food excellent. 4. We are southern in heritage and culture and know good southern food. They can cook southern style here. 5. We recommend the friend chicken, pulled pork, pork chop, southern chicken sandwich, Mac and cheese, green beans, sweet potatoes, big loaded potato and gumbo. Our appetizers were onion rings, okra, and fried Mac and cheese. The portions of children’s meal were very large! 6. This is not a fancy place, just a brick walled historic feeling vibe. It was clean.

Worth a visit

We visited for dinner as a family during the week. the restaurant was busy but we were promptly seated and had good service throughout our stay. The portion sizes are large and the prices are reasonable. we had the fried chicken dinner tried some of the appetizers, all of which were delicious.

Frustrating disregard of customer's health

This was our first chance to visit and we were looking forward to finding a nice restaurant close to home. The hostess who seated us was masked and the tables were spaced apart so we didn't notice until after settling in that none of the waitresses were wearing masks. We probably should have left then as we ended up feeling fairly uncomfortable throughout the meal. The food was good and the service was timely but if the management isn't requiring the waitstaff to follow the minimal consideration of wearing a mask at this time, we probably won't ever be back.

Disappointed

Wow, this place could excel, however, the service is terrible. Lots of great choices on the menu but you forget what you want by the time they take your order. Special today was $3.00 margaritas. Watered down kool aid best describes it. Ordered right away for a hungry toddler, her food came with the rest of the table. Minus my meal. Was never put in. Sat and watched my family eat while my order went in again. My food arrived as a take out order because it was brought as everyone was ready to leave. Asked to speak to manager and our server stated she was the manager. Not an apology or any compensation for the screw up. Had to ask for my meal to be comped and never ate it anyway because it was soggy by the time I got it home. Too bad. This could be a great dining option. Worst part is I haven’t been to a restaurant in months, what a disappointment.

Attaboys comfort cuisine

First time in Marion oh. Wanted to find a restaurant for lunch and we found gold. Our server was Jessica. Service was outstanding. Food was excellent. I had the Memphis burger. My wife had Breakfast brunch burger also excellent. Jessica prepared a peach cobbler for my birthday, a nice surprise. I highly recommend Attaboys for a good meal, awesome service with a smile and a nice atmosphere. Thank you Attaboys.

Southern Comfort For Sure!

Googled a restaurant as we were heading to visit the President Harding Museum nearby. Always looking for good Soul/Southern Food, pleasantly surprised there was one so far up north! Po boy and catfish of course. Along with hush puppies, greens, Mac and cheese and don’t forget the sweet potatoes. Spouse said the Po bog was the best he’s had aside from New Orleans. Service with delightful smiles. Thank you ladies. Would have tried the bar but it was kinda early. Will definitely return as it was awesome. Across from the Palace Theater, so mark your next favorite place to eat.

Excellent in every way

absolutely delicious food and excellent friendly service. Unique atmosphere. several options on menu, but we all went for burgers and chose different sided. My husband said it was the best burger he ever had ! We will be back with a crowd.

Yum! Philly Potato

My favorite is the Philly steak potato. Delicious! And it comes with 2 sides so it’s really a great value, too. They are located right across from the Historic Marion Palace Theatre so very handy for an evening out.

Lots of classic food with great extra touches

We three had great lunches. One had the appetizer of "potato skins"--5 loaded ones that were delicious and filling (taking 2 of them home). One had the chicken waffle sandwich--the best waffles she ever had, taking half home. One had a salad loaded with avocado and chicken and other wonderful ingredients--she took half home. The onion rings were delicious, although there were not very many for the money. We all highly recommend Attaboys.

Great place to eat

My husband and I heard it was their second anniversary, so we thought we would check out. The Gumbo was incredible!! My husband had the pork sandwich, and he loved it!! We will be going back!!

Terrible experience

We hired Attaboys to cater our wedding in October 2019....and it was a total disaster....My wife was so disappointed and was crying during the reception because the service was just flat out horrible... Our guest got cold food and a lot of them only got half of what they were suppose to get at the main dinner... we ran out of appetizers quickly and a lot of guest didn’t get any... They didn’t bring all the food that was promised (the rolls)....Attaboys only sent 2 people to serve about 135 people... My wife’s 4 best girlfriends had to get up from their tables and help Attaboys serve food because it was such a mess... MY WIFE WAS ABSOLUTELY HUMILIATED AND EMBARRASSED !!!! I would have given them zero stars but one star was the least I could choose.... One more thing.. the lady manager that was in charge is now giving my wife a big “attitude “ ... Stay far Away !!!!

Good Marion offerings.

Cute inside with lots of interesting items on the walls. I’m happy to see that Marion is finally moving in the right direction offering restaurants that cover a menu with a nice variety and above the restaurant chains. This is definitely a comfy food place. There is plenty of seating and the service was friendly and helpful. If I had to point out something I would like to change it would be their restroom situation.

Great spot for something a little different.

This is a casual restaurant with an emphasis on southern cooking. I tried Collard Greens for the first time in my life and they were quite good. There were lots of interesting choices and the service was excellent.,
