My husband, daughter and I drove up to this Ice Cream business today. It's not located in the best part of town, and it's a small run of the mill looking Country Ice Cream place. Because of the Coronavirus they had shut down the walk up window so we had to wait through the drive thru. There were 5 or 6 cars ahead of us and you don't order until you actually get to the window. But I have been in drive thrus with 2 speakers and I swear this place moved faster than some of them. My husband got the Bratwurst sandwich which he very much enjoyed. My daughter (who is 22 with autism) got a Chocolate Ice Cream cone. Soft serve. Unfortunately, she complained. Because they GAVE HER TOO MUCH! She is used to smaller cones, so my husband had to step in and eat the ice cream down at least half way before she was comfortable eating it. I very much enjoyed my Oreo Special Sundae. It was vanilla ice cream with lots and lots and lots of gooey chocolate. Chocolate sprinkles galore which all managed to melt together to make one, big gooey tasty treat! And to top it off it came with an Oreo cookie!!! My husband got the Reeses Parfait for desert which also was served with mini Resses cups. He said there was adequate chocolate sauce to the peanut butter. "Very well proportioned" he cited. This is a cash only place which we didn't know until we were in line. Luckily I had a 20 with us, but I was worried we wouldn't have enough. We got all this, and a bag of Frito's too, for LESS than $13.00! This place is worth the drive and worth the wait!!!!!!!!! And for 3:30 pm this place was already jumping. I would guess everyone in town know's where Fred's is.

Fred's is the best biggest desserts in Marion my favorite is Hot Fudge sundae. We love Fred's🥰 ice cream there is so much to try.

Nothing is small here!!! Friendly staff and you get your moneys worth. We visit Fred's often. Highly recommend

Huge servings of really good ice cream and FANTASTIC orange sherbet! Banana splits will more than fill your belly! Worth waiting in line for a GREAT TREAT! Raining? No problem. Go thru the drive through! This place is in an “out of the way” location........but well worth finding it and it’s super clean and well lit up outside with several picnic tables! They sell sandwiches too but I-have NEVER tried them because their medium cones fill me up!

Although not open during the winter months, they are definately woth the wait. Huge portions of good ice cream and priced cheap.

This is simply put the BEST TASTING ICE CREAM, friendliest most professional service, and best value in ice cream you will find anywhere in the 15 states I have been in. If you are looking to get put of the house take a drive and get the BEST banana split you could imagine try Fred's. You will not be disappointed.

We go to Fred's at least once a week. We try to make it twice a week. The ice cream is delicious and the staff is a great family who remembers us every time we go back.

Fred's Ice Cream is a seasonal ice cream place and grill open 3-10 pm daily. It is a little off the beaten path, just north of hwy 309 and just east of Hayes elementary on Silver Street. Fred's ( the apostrophe on the sign is an ice cream cone) serves the best soft serve in Marion, hands down. At $1.35 for a small cone, it is a bargain because their small is the size of some places' large serving. The same is true fro the shakes and sundaes. Did not try any ot the grill food. Plenty of parking in Fred's lot on the west side of the street. No restrooms, a few outdoor tables. Fred's accepts all major credit cards for a fifty cent surcharge.
