#7 on Tripvisor!? Should be #1 or at least top 2. We stayed 3 nights in the area and it was the only seasoned, fairly portioned for the price, meal I received in a 20 mi radius. I got the Alaskan Pollock. It was the size of my plate, fried golden brown and came with a homemade tartar sauce. Pepper Jack cheese balls with their house ranch were also fire 🔥. Very diverse menu. A person could eat here everyday of the week and order a different type of cuisine from their menu. Service? Excellent. Friendly, warm, regular folks, working hard. 100 percent will be back. 100 percent would recommend.

Excellent friendly service and good sandwiches served hot!

What a great place! Although the Tavern is primarily frequented by residents of the area, we were immediately greeted and made to feel welcome. In many ways, this restaurant/bar is a typical local hangout kind of place. Nothing fancy, just great sandwiches and meals served hot with a smile. Soups are homemade, and my cup of stuffed pepper soup was delicious, as was my chipotle chicken wrap. My husband had a haddock sandwich. The fish clearly came frozen, but it was cooked properly and served up while hot in a generous portion. Ditto for the fries, although the fries portion wasn’t huge. That said, there was just the right amount for the two of us, so no wasted food, which is what we prefer anyway. If you wonder why I keep going on about our food being served hot, you’ll have to read my review for the other Logan restaurant we tried. As I mentioned, the service was excellent. We never had to look around for our server - she checked on us regularly without being intrusive. Prices are also very reasonable. Would we return? Absolutely. Would I recommend it? Yes. In fact, I’d say skip the barbecue place and grab a sandwich at Home Tavern!

Good Food - Wait Staff was very attentive

We came in for a quick burger & beer after a couple of days of hiking in the Hocking Hills area. Burger & Grilled Chicken sandwiches both were very good. Bathrooms could use a little help. We sat in their covered "outdoor" area. Wait staff was a little confusing, we had two different waitresses, but they did a good job of making sure we got good service.

Loved it!!!

Service was good and food was awesome. Simple like I like, and delicious. We went for dinner then came back the next day for breakfast! Only tiny complaint is that biscuit and gravy needed to be warmer. Will definitely go back if we are in the area again.

Good food and great service

My husband & I both ordered fish and it was very good. the service was excellent. We were able to eat outside because the weather was good, and we aren't drinkers, so we didn't want to be near the bar. So that was pleasant. they have many sandwiches on the menu too.

Stopped with family and dog after hiking Old Man's Cave. Staff very unfriendly and told us we were not allowed to sit on patio unless our dog was a "service dog". We found a table and waited 10+ minutes for waitress to appear and take our drink order. Waited 15 minutes for drinks that never arrived and decided to find a nice restaurant😡 Don't waste your time. The Millstone is much nicer, great food, "friendly" atmosphere and dog friendly!

Don't pass this place up!

My husband and I stopped in here recently and can't wait to go back again. The place is clean, the service great and the food delicious. To begin, we had the pretzel bites and nachos, followed by a Tavern burger with waffle fries for me and a quesadilla for my husband. The prices are good too. We are planning on going back very soon!

Every one’s home town tavern. Welcomed when we walked in, daily specials, inexpensive taps beers, as well as menu options. Friendly staff, family friendly! Tons of beer logo memorabilia around the room. Not much to look at from outside but I felt like I stepped back in time.

Never fails to impress

This was our 4th time going "Home." A great local tavern/restaurant. Even on a Sunday late morning many locals there. That says a lot. Always had a good meal. Only exception was this time I had the BBQ pork sandwich. Was pretty processed. Great service by the staff.

Friendly bar, excellent food, great prices

Stopped in on recommendation of Adventure Pro Outdoors, was not disappointed. Super friendly staff, big menu, excellent food, very reasonable prices. Large portions and ice cold beer, even Blatz ! highly recommend and will return.

Great Menu

We were told by a local that they had a great menu. She was right, we stopped for Breakfast and had a good meal with friendly atmosphere. Don't let the name fool you, they have a very clean establishment and good food. It was a diamond in the rough.

Worth the stop

We were in town for a basketball game, so I did what I always do… Pick a restaurant from Trip Advisor. We had the red pepper soup, ham & cheese sandwich, Reuben & fries. It was ALL hot & delicious. The service was good & fast. It was your typical bar & bar food but just what we were wanting. Yes, we will stop again if in town.

We were a big family group & loved the atmosphere of this tavern. Everyone was very friendly from the moment we walked in. The food was quite good. The menu is wide & varied. A “must go “ place!

Consistently AWFUL

Consistently terrible even several years apart in between visits. The service is AWFUL. I watched our “server” hang out behind the bar snacking away on food and catering to the regulars but we got zero attention. And we are local and tip extremely well when it’s warranted. None of them could have cared any less about us. It took over an HOUR for 2 small appetizers to arrive. We watched 3 other tables of the same size party there after us, receive ALL of their food way before us but kept getting told “yours is really coming right out any minute” for an HOUR! Tried saying a large party in the back was holding our order up. Nope. We got there way before that party too and the servers all even kept saying “a large party got here a few minutes ago and it’s slowing everything else down”. Ummmmm whyyyy wouldn’t you make sure the guests there BEFORE the party are catered to first? You know, the order in which we’re sat??? And ordered. Which was WELL before this party AND others we watched come and go. There were only 4 in our group and we had 2 small apps, 2 orders of wings and 2 salads. Come on! The food is mediocre at best and the couple we were with consider themselves somewhat regular and they were even extremely put off by every single thing about our visit! I will NOT come back. Mediocre (again at very best) food, horrendous service and not even a fun or inviting atmosphere. Terrible. Go to literally anywhere else in Logan but here!

A hidden gem

Service started out slow but once we were waited on, the service went smoothly. Food was delicious. This would be a regular spot for us if we lived in the area. A little hard to find with GPS.
