Amazing baked goods, especially the cinnamon rolls!

In the era of covid, all things have to be judged slightly differently. masks were encouraged but not mandated. It was not busy, but hocking hills was not yet open either. What I CAN say is that Penny’s pastries has some of the best cinnamon rolls(not to mention the LARGEST rolls) that I have ever had. I got two of these, half a dozen very good fresh donuts, as well as six cookies, and the price was amazingly low for all that I left with! There is no coffee nor hot sandwiches, but you can not beat the baked goods!!

Don’t miss this bakery!!

Excellent cinnamon rolls and doughnuts. Friendly service and best prices I’ve seen. The cinnamon roll was huge and the chocolate filled doughnut was doubly good because it had chocolate cream filling.

So good - perfect breakfast stop

We loved walking here in the morning during our stay in Logan. Delicious freshly baked donuts and pastries that went perfect with coffee. Super low prices too! Highly recommend.

I always make a point to go to Penny's when I am in Logan. They also have good coffee and a good variety. Come early!- Because they do sell out of things you may want.

Delicious donuts - go early

Endless selection of donuts, cookies, and other baked good that are fresh and delicious. This place has been a bakery for decades and has had the same owners for quite a few years now. The staff made great suggestions for us visiting the first time. Five stars!

The best homemade donuts!

This place is always busy and rightfully so. Just about every donut you can imagine is here, and they are all terrific, along with the cakes. Get there early though because it's not unusual to see certain types of pastries sell out quickly. Glad Logan has this locally-owned bakery that takes pride in its quality work.

Great Bakery

This site should be included on the Historic Logan walking tour! The bakery's old store front and historically correct interior blends right in to the local atmosphere. The variety is great as is the taste of each item. Although, it would help to have a wider variety of items.. The bread is fantastic and costs less per loaf than comparable grocery store products: tastes better as well. Did not price it out, but maybe other products are less than store bought as well. Highly recommend starting or finishing the day with these delights.

Yummy cookies but selection was few

We visited at 10:30am on Saturday hoping for donuts. There was only 1/3 tray of donuts to choose from and all looked glazed. There were about 6 types of cookies to choose very reasonably priced. We purchased chocolate chip and peanut butter at $5.25 a dozen. They were quite good. We were just let down selection and options were poor but they likely make limited quantities due to closing at 12 on Saturdays

every time I go to Logan I stop in here. sometimes I go to Logan just for these donuts. always fresh,full of cream filling, moist, delicious. the crème sticks are my favorite. But also get the other types. cookies are also a favorite,(raisin filled). A really good selection. and every time seems as if she has tried a new twist on the donuts. one glazed sort of flattened with the crème filling layered on top. the associates are always so friendly and helpful also. so if in or around Logan,,dont leave without trying a donut or dozen

While camping at nearby Hocking Hills State Park we decided to treat ourselves to donuts one morning and came here. Delicious! Can't say enough good things about them. The cinnamon bun was huge as was the apple fritter. The white cream filling in two of the donuts was just the right amount of sweet, not overly so but still decadent. Reasonably priced too. We will be sure to come here again on our next camping trip. Wish we had a place this good closer to home!

Great Glazed

Stopped in for donuts, there was a variety to choose from but I did just get glazed because they are my favorite. They were really good, better than any chain or grocery store donut.

Best donuts around!

Small place with lots of options. The two owners work all night hand cutting and making everything fresh each day. Go early, some days they sell out by 9 or 10am. Some of the daily options include: Split creams (split with cream inside and powder on top) White cream filled sticks or rounds (topped with vanilla, maple or chocolate) Chocolate cream filled Peanut Butter cream filled Jelly filled (Strawberry, Lemon, apple, raspberry, and blueberry) Custard filled (topped with vanilla, maple or chocolate) Apple fritters Cinnamon rolls (glazed, iced, or huge baked cinnamon rolls) Cake donuts (a different kind each day) Tuesday & Saturday: Sour Cream Wednesday: Devils food Thursday: Apple or Pumpkin depending on season Friday: Blueberry Scones (Raspberry, Blueberry, Apple, Cranberry, Chocolate Chip) Muffins (Blueberry, Pineapple, Butter Rum) Cookies (Iced sugar cookies, choc chip, oatmeal raisin, raisin filled, blackberry filled, peanut butter) Small pies, brownies, cakes, cupcakes, bread, noodles. Donuts are $.80 each, $4.50 half dozen, $7.85 dozen. Most cookies are $.50 each or $5.25 dozen. The huge baked cinnamon rolls are only $1.30.

Simply the best donuts around!

Love Penny's Pastries! They have the best donuts anywhere. My family's personal favorite is the "split cream filled," or as we call them, "hot dog donuts," because they are kind of like a hot dog bun full of delicious light cream filling and powdered sugar. If you are local, as we are, this is a regular stop for you, but if you happen to be one of the many tourists traveling through the Hocking Hills area, make plans to stop here. You won't be disappointed!

Best donuts I've had in a long time. We arrived at 6:30 because we heard the best choices are gone early. Well worth getting up early for!
