Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Sometimes it's nice to go where everybody knows your name and they're always glad you came. Well, now that Cheers has long since closed up shop on air, the mantle has passed to Jitterz on the square in downtown Kenton. You half expect to find Norm at a table, although consuming caffeine instead of alcohol. It is a small intimate local hangout with coffee/tea/baked goods but also health and cook books. I am not a local, but I was treated like one. They write the variety on the cup, not your name, because well, they know your name after visiting for a few minutes. Service and prices sure beat a certain brand that rhymes with car trucks and they are genuinely glad you came.

Go here frequently with friends. Great food. Most food is homemade. Awesome selection of coffees and specialty drinks. Relaxing atmosphere and a good place to sit and savor your lunch with friends.

After noon and mid-way in our journey, we were hungry, but in a strange city. We drove around a little looking for a local restaurant and saw Jitterz. Food and coffee! We decide to try it. Although almost closing time, the counter crew (two women) welcomed us with smiles and told us lunch was still available, no problem. We will stop here again the next time we are driving south.

This was a good place to stop and get a coffee on the way driving through town. The proprietor was very friendly; she was also very much willing to talk about her coffee. The coffee was fresh, and poured quickly. The coffee was also reasonably priced. Overall, a good coffee spot.

And honest cuppa coffee at a fair price by a friendly owner. My kind of place to make you feel at home in middle America. No pretense just an honest cuppa coffee and a lot of goodies/Sweets.

I took a day trip to Kenton. And found this great little coffee shop. Enjoyed a sandwich with my ice coffee. Very relaxing. I will come back.

I stumbled across this little gem in February when my GPS sent me on a different route to Athens, Ohio. I was going to stop at a fast food restaurant on the next block, but glad I didn't and tried Jitterz instead.
So coming back from Athens on Saturday, I stopped at Jitterz for lunch again. I had a cup of heart-warming pea soup with ham, a egg salad on pita bead, and a Mojito Lavender Italian Soda. And I bought a double chocolate scone to take with me.
Everything was freshly made and tasted great. If you enjoy Italian sodas, you'll be surprised by the variety...I mean how did they come up with something like Mojito Lavender? Very imaginative combos. Lots to choose from.
I didn't try any of the lattes or other beverages so will try timing my next stop with a coffee break.
Try Jitterz...you'll be glad you did!

A great place to relax. Don't be in a hurry, though. Its small with limited help. Lots of choices for cappacino, lattes, coffees, and teas. Sweet pastry and quiches and sandwiches. Tables and easy chairs to sit and chat and enjoy the day.
Not fast food.
Unique.

Stopped in on a whim. The young man behind the counter was friendly and eager to serve. I was treated with respect and kindness which is often lacking these days! Thank you! The muffin and cookie that my husband and I got were fresh and tasty. I will come back!

Comfortable little coffee shop which also has a few breakfast and lunch items. Eclectic decor with a few items like handspun yarn and knickknacks to buy.

We stopped here on our way through town. The coffee was good, and I loved the coffee cake. The employees were friendly and helpful.

Easy to find, across from courthouse, on street parking. Really inviting, friendly atmosphere. Delicious homemade cookies and pastries. My mom lives in Kenton and she says they eat there all the time. Cute cards and gifts for sale. I bought a sugar cookie and an oatmeal raisin cookie - yummy! Clean restroom. Owner present, always a good sign, Jitterz has been in operation since 2003. We will go back!

I've been to plenty of local coffee shops in Ohio, this will not be a favorite. The selection was plentiful, but the two ladies behind the counter were not friendly. Professional, yes, but not friendly. Their attitude said they had 'arrived' as coffee shop, and as an example they were rude about mistaking their muffins as cupcakes. Their generous nature was spent on fixing their multiple mistakes on our order for four people. I do not think this coffee shop can handle multiple orders of people who desire more then black coffee.
The food was okay, the coffee was so so, but the impression of the workers was terrible.
