Celebrated a family birthday here. Super location literally on the water with extensive car parking available and easy access. A friendly welcome and service. Great menu. We couldn't resist the Seafood platter for two complete with a half cray. Delicious. Huge serving of a great...range of fresh seafood. Probably enough for three. Great drinks choice as well. A lovely lunch here with attentive and friendly service. Highly recommended.More

Ignore the CLOSED hours, very much operating and need to make a booking, very popular. Food is very nice, good portions, service is attentive, moderate prices. Recommended.

Food was fantastic & the service was friendly. I had the Fisherman's basket. Big serve, superbly cooked. Great views of the Leven River too. We were staying across the river, so walked over and walked home. Great night out

I was dreaming of fresh Tasmanian scallops & my take out was so delicious. Sat in the park & enjoyed my small bounty. Had my scallops with the roe on & crumbed. Fresh lemon drizzled upon them. Perfect.

My partner and I went for dinner after hearing great things about this restaurant. Went inside and felt the heat immediately. We were seated on a small patio with only two small windows and the sun blaring in through the window. Asked the waitress if...she could turn on the small air conditioning unit we were told it was broken. We promptly left. Shame on the management for allowing the inside to get to such a hot state. As a chef and restaurant owner I would check all air conditioning units to see if they work and if not get them fixed or provide some sort of alternative.More

Right on the river I expected and was prepared for a costly night out. Nicely surprised with the moderate prices and range of seafood. Big tables for families and smaller for quiet dining. I don't recommend the crumbed fish as it tends to be a...little dry. Wine list both by bottle and glass is well priced and local.More

The location promised, the menu promised but the food did not deliver. The prawns in the Prawn cocktail were bland and were distracted by the Greek salad it was served with. The ocean trout was over cooked but the sauce and creamy potatoes were acceptable....The raspberry pavlova was light and airy but a few fresh raspberries would have lifted the experience. We sat out on the balcony with a beautiful view but the radio for background music did not provide the right ambience. This restaurant is presented as up market, with white table cloths and a perfect location. In fact it is mediocre. Would not recommend or plan to return.More

What a beautiful place and food was amazing . We were professionally met at the door by a polite, distinguished gentleman. We started with oysters tempura followed by crumbed scallops and whole flounder, finished off with layered pav. and berries . Staff were friendly and...water view on sunset incredible. Had to book a table.. highly recommend.More

Tassie seafood, pasta and favourite dishes you would expect from a crayfishes cafe/restaurant. Generous serves, upmarket pub food, nothing fancy but a solid offering if you want a pub style lunch.
