It was more than a good pub meal, with a kitchen (where you can see everything happen). The food was great, but what really impressed was how the chef was clear on their GF food preparation and have separate fryer for chips. As soon as...GF was mentioned, she came and answered questions and made us feel comfortable that dietary needs would be met.More
I’m an incredibly fussy eater especially when it comes to eating REAL meat and not processed junk. The waitress asked the chef to come and speak to me about two dishes I couldn’t decide on, he was so lovely and very accommodating to my fussy...needs. The food was amazing and I couldn’t fault the service. 10/10!! The team should be very proud of themselves.More
I ate dinner here last Friday with my family! It was fantastic! We came here six months ago, and I have to say there was even such a big improvement since then. The chefs were so friendly. Great quick service, and value for money! We...will be back!More
I heard there was a New chef.. This was an amazing meal. I had the eyefillet mignon steak and chips salad and seriously the best meal I have had in years. It was cooked exactly as requested, it was so tasty, full of flavour, Perfect!...The salad was tasty, but not over the top with sauce and really complemented. I was surely not disappointed. Well done compliments to the chef. My wife's chicken fillet, with prawns was cooked perfect. Our son commented on his meal, lasagne he loved it. Thumbs up guys.More

I ordered the salmon with a lemon and dill sauce. When it came the sauce was garlic. I questioned this and was told the sauce has a base of garlic but them lemon and dill were...put in it. Nope. Garlic only. No little green bits of dill in sight ! Certainly no taste of lemon. The sauce overpowered any taste of the salmon and was smothered all over the chips. The salad was insipid with a few tom tomatoes and one very very thin slice of cucumber.
I am not a cook but I do know lemon and any supposed dill will not flavour a sauce already infused with garlic.
My dining partner ordered the chicken breast stuffed with prawns with a garlic and sage sauce. Guess what ? No sage in taste nor in sight. The chicken was dry and the 'breast' was cut into 3 with a prawn on top of each slice. The chicken tasted as if it was precooked and it must have been to come out within 10 minutes of ordering.
Very disappointing and I certainly do not recommend Furners.More
Came here on our way through to Burnie. Their meals are reasonably priced and they have daily specials. Meals were quick to come. My only complaint would be that bar staff need to listen to what customers ask for drink wise.
We were terribly disappointed, there were only 20 diners or less and we still waited for over an hour for our meals. and this is simply not good enough!
Plus, my soup was only just warm, main meals comprised old and overcooked brocollini, flavourless, dried...chicken and seafood plates with overcooked calamari, horrible fish cakes that were inedible, soggy chips, chilli in the salad which should be stated...one positive, the desserts were nice.More
