High quality fresh Gummy Shark cooked to perfection. Again chips perfectly cooked $4.00 suitable quantity for 2 people. Consumed outside on a table with bench seats. Some have perspex screens to shield from sea breezes.

The customer service was good, but the food did not live up to it. Chips were average and the battered fish was pretty dry and just not good. Have had way better elsewhere in Tassie!

Local girls near the war memorial gave me directions to this Fish'n'Chipper and I admit I got a bit waylaid trying to find it. The wharf area is exceptionally busy... eventually I found a carpark and walked to the store. They were just about to...close... clearly they felt sorry for me. I am glad they did. :) Because I got to experience this small takeaway. The ladies were really lovely and obviously kind to a stranger. I ordered the fish and chips which was really reasonably priced. The piece of fish I received was really generous. I bought a cold drink before leaving and returning to my motel room to eat. Dinner was quite nice.More

Advertise their business hours from 11-8 called to order take away at 7:10 to pick up at 7:30 advise that they can not do this as they were shutting due to being quiet, not the first time this has happened. Maybe they need to look...at why they are quiet if this is the type of set up they are running people will not bother going there as they never know if they will be able to place an order or not. Pathetic.More

Excellent meal and service by very friendly staff. Even though we forgot to book we were made very welcome. Will go there again.

Didn't take down half the order, when told of their error they acted as if it was my fault. Didn't apologize or try and rectify the issue when they were given the opportunity. Their $10 worth of chips was like $3 you'd get elsewhere and...were horrible. Poor value for money and terrible customer serviceMore

We stopped in to order Grilled fish with some chips as a light snack over lunchtime. Not to be. They don't offer grilled of any kind. All battered or crumbed, so we passed up on that limited option. Shame as this place has a pleasant...outside eating area for a sunny day. So can't comment on the standard of food, however having now eaten in the restaurant, if it's owned and run by the same people, then I wouldn't have high hopes.More

I would say the same as Danica before me. The fish was dominated by the unpleasant greasy taste of whatever they cooked it in. Also, I asked for two small pieces of fish and a small amount of chips. We got twice that amount, I...don’t think it was generosity, not when charged over $30 for it. I will not be going there again.More

Not what it used to be. Seafood basket included imported products. Batter or oil used to cook in was quite unpleasant. Seafood had no flavour or was over powered by the oil/batter. Chips not cooked as requested. Very disappointed compared to prior visits. Was a...must visit not any moreMore
