I had a lovely light lunch of quiche and salad and a hot chocolate at this cafe. The food was fresh and lovely and the atmosphere on the verandah was inviting. To sit out near a road with no traffic was a huge change.
A great bakery, a great cafe, lovely staff. Visited there every morning whist we were in Hill End and enjoyed the coffee and scones. There was a large variety of food so you have plenty of choices. Best coffee in Hill End, actually the only...place you can get a decent coffee!More
These little towns survive on tourism and good service, the second we walked in we felt unwelcome, we were the only people in the shop and it took at least 4 minutes to get service from 4 staff, I really feel that the fear of...COVID has got to them, it was a beautiful day outside and there was plenty of people around the area. The vide was flat and a couple of the staff wee really grumpy ...... this little business has so much going for it, besides that the chicken burger was great......More
Visited the quaint and pretty little village of Hill End. We stopped at the cafe and general store because we heard good reviews. The place was extremely busy with lots of biker groups and out of town visitors. Staff seemed a little overwhelmed and kept...yelling at customers who were coming inside to leave because of covid restrictions and social distancing. Kind of put you off being inside. We ordered our food but it was so noisy inside that we got it takeaway instead and went to Kissing Point Lookout. Lentil burger and chicken schnitzel burger were both fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend getting lunch takeaway and going to eat it at any number of beautiful lookouts or picnic spots around Hill End.More
Had the best hamburger I've had for years at this Cafe. Beautiful fresh ingredients and juicy hamburger. My husband had the sweet potato and salmon fritters which was also yummy. Staff were very busy and seemed a little overwhelmed by the amount of people that...were there with people taking covid holidays.More
We stayed in Hill End for 4 days and we had brunch every day at the General Store. The staff are soooooooooooo lovely and made us feel right at home. They even helped us out with small pantry items that they didn't sell! Highly recommend....The BLAT was yuuuummmmiMore
