We have been regulars at the Railway Cafe on Worksop Station for a number of years. The latest owners, the lovely Doreen and Paul have transformed the place into a culinary delight for home made pastries, sausage rolls, cakes, scones etc, plus the usual cooked breakfasts, omelettes, and hot and cold sandwiches. They also do great coffees, flavoured teas and cold drinks. Open from 6.30 weekdays and 07.00 on Saturdays this place is always worth a visit even if you aren't travelling. Its even got free spaces in the station carpark for cafe customers. Give them a try, but be quick as the fabulous pork and red onion sausage rolls and the cheese ones sell out quick!! A great place with two great hosts!

I googled the nearest Cafes to where we stayed for a couple of nights in Worksop. This came up and I was pleasantly surprised with the level of service from all members of staff; taking the order, chef bringing it out and another worker generally helping all round. They were polite friendly and genuine which goes a long way. Only regret was I didn’t have any change and neither did they for me to leave a tip. I’m sure we will visit nearby again and most certainly get breakfast. Thanks all, it’s nice to get good service and we tend to only moan when we don’t 🤗

Having read about this café situated on the platform of worksop train station, my friend and I who like to try different establishments on a Friday lunchtime decided to give it a chance. On arrival at the café, if you're not catching the train, make yourself know to the staff who will issue you with a 90 minute car park pass. When you enter the café off the station platform, you enter a not so big dining area with a service desk to take your order. The walls are are covered in menus, there is a huge selection on offer. Once you've decided what to eat, and paid, you can sit inside or go outside and sit at one of the few tables on the platform. The food will be brought to you with by a very friendly member of staff. I had the English breakfast, my friend, she had the quiche. Everything cooked to perfection, ( in my opinion), and washed down with a vanilla milkshake and a pineapple and mango smoothie. It's not a busy station, so you dont have the constant smell of train fumes and noises of passing trains Definitely worth a visit, give the new guys a chance, I'll definitely be going back again.

Called in as I had 25 minutes before my next train. A very small cafe, serving a limited selection of food and drinks. I had a Mocha, served in a cardboard cup. Not the best vessel to drink a Mocha from.
But the drink was hot and tasty. Apart from the pub on the other platform and 2 waiting rooms, that's all there is. The Cafe does have a wc for customers.

A friendly cafe serving a huge range of delicious choices. Small dining area, just a single room on a well-maintained historic railway station. Very clean. Totally unpretentious. Lovely and attentive staff. Free station parking while you eat, just ask for a token at the counter.

Just had afternoon tea delivered from Railway cafe as a Mother's day present. Could nor fault it.It was delicious could not eat it all. Having to save some for later. Wil certainly use again.

Amazing food , super friendly staff!
Been a few times and never fails to deliver good quality food !
Highly recommend definitely worth a visit even if you dont need a train !
Car parking pass given if eating there.

I HAVEN'T BEEN TO THE RAILWAY CAFE SINCE FEBRUARY 2020 - BEFORE COVID.
IT SEEMS TO HAVE CHANGED HANDS. - THANK GOODNESS!
I ORDERED EGGS Benedict AND A CUP OF TEA. IT WAS RATHER NICE, BUT THAT MIGHT BE, BECAUSE I WAS HUNGRY.
I PAID ÂŁ7.93 ALTOGETHER, AND WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT THE BENEDICT HAD NO HAM OR BACON BASE,WHICH IS HOW A TRADITIONAL EGGS BENEDICT SHOULD BE MADE.
THE TEAPOT WAS ONLY HALF FULL TOO. WHICH MADE THE TEA RATHER STRONG.
THERE WAS NO OFFER OF What TYPE OF MILK I WOULD OF LIKED IN THE TEA. IT WAS ASSUMED SEMI SKIMMED WAS THE NORM.
HOWEVER THE FOOD WAS COOKED PROPERLY, BUT MISSING AN INGREDIENT.
PERHAPS THE STAFF SHOULD WEAR A POLO Top With THE LOGO ON, SO CUSTOMERS CAN DIFFERENTIATE STAFF FROM OTHER CUSTOMERS.

Went for steak night today and they have no steaks. Not good at all. Service was slow also. Waited 45 mins for food.
