We had a wedding reception at The Bell. The venue is quirky in a nice way, with unusual features such as trees in bedrooms and the staircase which adds to the character of the establishment. But the best and most important positive feature of the...More

Possibly a new chef, if not then the incumbent has come up with some very good ideas. Black pudding scotch egg was perfect. Don't often eat steak when out but the rib-eye, medium rare, was outstanding. Reasonably priced wines and good to see magnums and...More

Outstanding, food great with polite and attentive staff. Decor inspirational especially the gentlemen’s lavatory. I had the best fish and chips ever, (not in the toilet though.).

The place always has a posh but positive vibe. A little bit of “Kensington wannabe”. Food is good and menu stays interesting. Decor was good and above typical country pub. Sometimes the place is packed because of wedding. So pick your date carefully.

To be honest I have no idea, I stayed in a lodge and never made breakfast once as the late nights did not readily transend into early mornings, the staff are really friendly and a quick call should get you the answer you need
