Visited this cafe on Monday afternoon for lunch. My friend and I were warmly welcomed by the young server. We ordered the special of minted lamb and were not disappointed. This cafe offers traditional fayre and generous portions at a fair price including free refills...on tea and coffee. The meal came with fresh carrots, green beans, swede, cauliflower and mash potatoes which was delicious. There was ice cream and strawberries to follow. Al and his team were attentive and very generously did not charge for a friend who joined us for coffee and dessert. I look forward to going back soon for the Sunday roast. Thank you Al and all the team.More

If you like basic you’ll love this place! It’s cheap because they use cheap products, rolls and toast slathered in margarine, inedible sausages and bacon full of fat. The cup of tea was the only nice thing I had. It was quite busy so clearly...it’s popular with the locals.More

I was recommended by a work colleague, and pleased I was. Great value for money, the best home cooked roast I have had in a long time. Big plate full and every mouthful hot till I couldn't eat no more. No room for the dessert...which was included in the price. Will make sure I book a table and be back very soon. Delicious food.More

We stopped here for breakfast after researching cafes in Swaffham as we were passing through on a journey. Very easy to find in the middle of the Market Place. Plenty of parking nearby too. Really friendly young staff who were most welcoming and provided excellent...service throughout our visit. We all chose the Double Bubble breakfast which is cooked from scratch using local produce and comes with homemade bubble and squeak. The owner came to explain we would have to wait for our order to be cooked. Nice touch that Al is so thoughtful. The breakfast was well presented on an enormous platter; necessary as it was full of food! All the components were well cooked, good quality and not greasy at all. Nice toast too. The bubble and squeak was a real treat and full of flavour. We all managed to finish our platters and didn't need to eat for the rest of the day! The price includes tea or coffee with refills! Al is so friendly and cares about his food and staff and very importantly, his customers. We have never been here before, and only pass this way once a year or so,but he treated us as if we were regulars and looked after us really well. We would be very happy to return anytime and thoroughly recommend this cafe to anyone. It's very clean and tidy inside. Don't be put off by the somewhat old fashioned outer appearance. It's not a corporate chain, thank goodness! Wouldn't go there if it was! A great, independent cafe in a lovely town. There are many cafes in Swaffham, but I imagine their offerings are not equal to this one! Do go! You won't regret it! Thank you Al and all your really friendly staff for a most enjoyable breakfast stop. Wish we lived nearer!More
