Came here for a celebratory dinner, and it was fantastic! Food was fresh and delicious, atmosphere was fun, and service was simply exceptional. If you want to try some truly amazing Greek food - this place is a great option.
Really fun place, food was great. The staff are so fun we were laughing all night. Food is really traditional which is what we wanted. There is lots of choice in the main square, zachos was recommended. It’s a lovely place with a heart, all’s...prices are really great. Lower than some of the other tavernas in old town. Thanks for having us xMore
Went to this beautiful traditional taverna on 3rd September. We were met by the loviest Greek girl, I didn’t get her name but she was so nice and nothing was too much trouble. Food was incredible as was the apple pie and baklava. I would...definitely recommend as we were seated upstairs in the roof top terrace with lovely views over the old square. Well done to everyone involved especially the young lady who served us.More
Tried a few restaurants around the square in Old hersonissos and noticed this one which looked nice. Called to book a table for 7.30 and upon arrival it didn't even look like they had booked on at all. I didn't feel we received a genuine...welcome upon arrival either unlike other places. The food was average and relatively small portion sizes in comparison to all the other places we've eaten at so far on this holiday. It's not somewhere I would rush to recommend to anyone to be honestMore
We were there for dinner not having found in the tavern where we actually wanted to go, the positive things I found were the terrace on the first floor where we ate, cooler and a little more secluded than the ground floor very crowded and...as far as food is concerned the fried zucchini that I recommend, for the rest we found the menu a little too touristic with even pasta and pizzas that have nothing to do with Greek cuisine or the typical menus of a Greek tavern, among other things we took a salad of tuna, meatballs, fried mussels and finally grilled sardines, of medium-good quality but not with particular flavors, prices adequate for the average quality of the food, personally I would not go back.More
If you want a full on, energetic, Greek experience, then come to the beautiful old town of Hersonisoss and go to Zachos. We sat upstairs, looking out into the beautiful plaza, with the charismatic Gino serving us and doing a fantastic job!
It is lively,...fun and with good food. We were staying all inclusive, but ate here twice - loved it!More

Taxis queue up after the Greek night or ask the restaurant. We walked back to Koutouloufari after the Greek night. There are street lights and the mountain is lit. The stars were amazing I wouldn’t have missed that walk!
