There is a wonderful restaurant not far from Burr Oak State Lodge in the small town of Chesterhill, OH. It is located near the intersection of state route 555 and state route 377. This is a farm to table restaurant which grows as much of their produce in their own garden and buys from local farmers what they don't grow. We had a wonderful breakfast there and the people who work there are fantastic. The food was great and delicious. I had sausage gravy over home fries and scrambled eggs on the side. My wife had a build your own omelet and we both found them delicious. My wife's breakfast came with rye bread made by Jackie O's and it was super. The menu for lunch and dinner looked equally tasty. We will be back.

We stopped over the Memorial Day weekend.......
Due to Covid they where only offering out door seating, which was fine.
Food was very good, resonably priced and served by a pleasant waitress who was dealing with the Covid protocol! I can't wait to go back when we can sit inside and enjoy the very nice atmosphere!

There were 5 of us traveling through to the 555 HYW on a Wednesday. We arrived around 10:30am not realizing they didn't open until 11. We sat at the picnic tables outside to wait and a employee saw us and asked if we would like to come in and use the rest rooms and have coffee. That was so great because it was pretty hot that day. The inside was very inviting and homey feeling. The server gave us a menu while we waited and drinks. We all decided on breakfast and everything was delicious! Waitress was friendly and quick. It started getting busier as we were finishing up with what appeared to be local residents. Prices were very reasonable too. A great place to visit!

We wre not told until we had already been given drinks and tried to order that they were out of the special, which was advertised in huge letters right as you walk in the door, and was actually the reason we went. The “toasted” hamburger buns were burnt to a crisp, and they were out of soda. The cutesy “rustic” decor had some really uncomfortable chairs. Just not a pleasant experience. The French fries were good.

My son and I were riding motorcycles on the 555 last weekend and he said he was hungry. I told him the next town with food, we would stop. We couldn't have been any luckier to find this diner. It was 100% perfect from the food to the service. It is worth the trip!

We enjoyed dinner here as it was recommended at our Resort we were staying at. This place is awesome! The food is so delicious and fresh and the staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food and very affordable prices.
FYI - 30 minute drive from Burr Oak Lodge.

We got steak dinners and was very disappointed! Steak not seasoned at all. I could have boiled a steak and it would have been better. Portions really small. Definitely WAY overpriced. I guess there's a reason why the prices aren't listed. I hope we were there on an off night.

So good. A super personable owner answering all our questions. The food was great—veggie burger for me, burger for my husband. The buns are fantastic. Everything super fresh. Blackberry pie ala mode was so good. Only issue was my sweet potato fries were a bit undercooked but not a dealbreaker.

Food was excellent, and so was the service. Great prices and yummy peanut butter pie. Location was easy to find and parking was plentiful. We had 14 people and all were happy with everything.

We stayed a mile north of town at Antler Ridge Cabins (loved them) and rode our motorcycles every day. We stopped here for lunch, bison burger was terrific and helpings were plentiful. Pie and ice cream one day and breakfast another. All very good, clean, unique place, good parking in the shade along the road for bikes, waitresses and owner couldn't have been nicer. They also sell local, honey, wine, coffee and a couple other items. Beware of their hours, open Thursday-Sunday. We didn't try any of the wine or beer since we were on our bikes.

23 hungry motorcyclists drop in for lunch and get great service, plus a great meal. I probably will never traverse this area again without stopping here. If you don't, it is your loss.

Our motorcycling group stopped here for a mid-morning break, and later for lunch. Sarah, our waitress, was friendly and efficient, and made sure that we all got our orders in a timely fashion. I recommend this as a mandatory stop if you are riding the Triple Nickel.

Some friends and I stopped by here as we were riding our motorcycles on the 555. The food was good and prices were fair. I had the Shew Burger, fries, chili and peanut butter pie. The pie was crazy good. I would return!
