Restaurant Covid-19 Takeaway

We usually celebrate anniversaries, birthdays or just a good lunch or dinner at Red Sea. Today had to be that bit different ‘Takeaway’ We had our favourite dishes from the main menu and even out of a styrene container, the quality, freshness of ingredients was excellent. Thank you so much for providing such a great service, we still need to celebrate and you are making that day still special. Thank you for the added extras you included, that was a lovely thing to do. We also picked up a couple of your Grab and Go meals for tomorrow, I’m positive they will be excellent, it’s a great idea, helping people at home who are fed up with cooking put keeping the price down so we can all enjoy them on a day to day basis. Looking forward to returning and enjoying your hospitality as well as your excellent Cuisine. Thank you

Feeling full and spoilt for Valentine's Day

Recently moved from Nth Qld and booked into Red Sea for a romantic dinner. Humble setting with a lovely street view in Central Maroochydore, welcomed with smiles by the hostess and drinks delivered within minutes. Shared the Seafood Platter for 2 and eyes nearly fell out seeing it arrive on the table. Glad we had spent the afternoon out climbing Mt Coolum as we needed all the space in our belly's to make it through the range of seafood and tasty fresh fruit... Felt defeated but had to keep going and try the dessert platter for 2 after seeing another table order it. That sticky date pudding, no words do it justice for how delicious it was. Casual attentive service from the waitresses who seemed to really care about making the night special and getting to know everyone personally. Having had seafood platters at many places this one is hands down great value for the size and freshness, the night became a really special experience, thank you to all staff involved. Already rebooked, thanks Red Sea, these new locals now know where our fav spot it. See you on Thursday to do it all again!

Great dining experience

Absolutely beautiful seafood platter for dinner last night at this little gem. Full of flavour and freshness. The waitresses were so lovely and very friendly they made us feel very welcome, Chef cooked a storm with the hot selection on the platter AMAZING, we will definitely be back! Amazing Seafood

Dined here last night with family and fiends and the food was delicious. The presentation was fantastic and the service was great. I had the bug and prawn platter and it was yummy and fresh. The seafood platter looked sensational and all of our meals were fresh, well presented and a good price. Will definitely return before I leave the area.

Good seafood, amazing calamari & prawns!!

We came here and ordered a seafood platter on the recommendation of our B&B hosts. It was extremely good value with a great selection of cold and hot seafood. We weren’t particularly impressed by the oysters – they natural oysters were a little small and the oysters Kilpatrick were smothered in a strange tasting sauce mixed with cheap commercial bacon cubes. The best things on the platter were the calamari and the prawns. Instead of ordering a platter we’d probably just order that next time. Our friend ordered the eye fillet medium rare – and it looked well done to me. Service was a little slow and slightly haphazard – we only received our meals one hour from the time that we arrived at the restaurant! But the staff were friendly and BYO is a plus!

Amazing Experience

My family of 8 along with our 2 grandkids walked into Redsea Restaurant yesterday without a booking and right from the get go the staff member was already busy with another walk in of 12 people but she was amazing, never complained, always attentive to everyone in the restaurant. For an island family of big eaters, this place was absolutely amazing, the food catering to big eaters the staff member catering to all our needs and the price ridiculously cheap!!! The best experience ever. Thank you so much Red Sea for creating an overwhelming and definitely satisfying experience for my family!! Definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone either living or visiting the Sunshine Coast!! Because of our awesome experience we will definitely be visiting the Sunshine Coast again!! Thank you so much ❤️😘

Good Food, Good Service

All aspects of our Red Seas visit were very god. Excellent friendly service, a comfortable atmosphere and good quality well presented food. The menu has sufficient options to keep you happy, servings were quite large and great value for money. BYO wine was a bonus with a good range of other drinks available. Well worth a visit. Had takeaway a couple of days later, again good sized servings and good quality.

Amazing seafood, beautifully presented

I found this restaurant through my Entertainment Membership and would have to say that, for the value, it was some of the best seafood I have had. We had Battered flathead and salt & pepper squid ($27), King prawn and scallop mornay ($36) and a Prawn & bug platter ($36). Each dish was amazing; generous servings, beautifully presented and very tasty. The highlight was the prawn and bug platter which consisted of eight king prawns, three half bugs, a lovely salad and fresh fruit....amazing. I would have been quite happy to have paid full price, but to get 25% off through my Entertainment membership, made it even better.

Good food and service but...

We dined at Red Sea on a busy Friday night. The atmosphere was good and the singer was very entertaining. Prices are a little on the high side but we thought that the quality of the food justified it. We are fresh seafood snobs and our chosen dishes didn't disappoint. Service was friendly and efficient. So why only 3 stars? At the time of our dinner the region was under a direction to wear masks indoors. Once seated masks could be removed. Two of the wait staff including the head waitress were not wearing masks but wore badges to say that they had exemptions. I trust them on this and don't question their honesty. The issue was that unlike in other restaurants in the area that we had dined at recently there was no attempt made to ask patrons to wear masks and very few did. The restaurant was doing a very good trade in takeaway meals and we had an endless stream of customers filing past us without masks. It was unprofessional and a very bad look.

We were very surprised and pleased by the food and service at this restaurant. Visiting Marcoola, we looked for a seafood place to have lunch and read about Red Sea Restaurant online. When we arrived, admittedly on the outside it didn't look like what we were expecting especially because of the food pics we had seen. When we booked, we were told there was only a seat indoors, which was fine. Two of us decided to order the $80 platter for two and when we explained dietary requirements to the staff, they did not hesitate to enusre the platter was changed to suit! We ordered another dish of whiting and when the food came out, we wish we hadn't because the servings are bigger than expected!! The platter was worth the money and after ordering a few drinks with lunch, we were surprised by the total cost of the meal - definitely value for money. The staff service was impeccable and very accommodating. We are so grateful we didn't judge the outside before trying the food. The chef came out a couple of times and spoke to almost every table, checking in with everyone. It was really nice to see and to find out this is a family-run restaurant, made us feel even better knowing that we could spend our time and money here. Definitely recommend this to locals and visitors!! If we're back in town again, will without a doubt come back for more! Maybe even a slice of the lemon meringue pie I never thought to take away after I left today.

Amazing! First time here. Only $135 for three people, that's with a cocktail, 2 glasses of wine and a glass of spirit. Food was presented well, extremely tasty, generous serving and the waitress was warm and genuine. Highly recommend. Lots of people eating here too, which says something!

Really great food on Australia Day

My wife and I had lunch on Australia Day at this restaurant. Fantastic food and great service courtesy of Neil and the girls. We were welcomed, seated and well looked after. Drinks were provided quickly so we could kick back and enjoy the music from Jay the guitarist while waiting for our meal to be served. Then it arrived and boy was it fantastic. The Chefs Platter for two. Bugs, prawns, oysters, smoked salmon, fruit chips and salad. It is impossible to leave from the Red Sea hungry!

Short stay in Maroochydore

Firstly the welcome was wonderful. Bev and I shared the seafood platter which was delicious the best platter we have had in years at $80 it was really value for money and the mixture of hot and cold seafood with the accompanying salad and fruit was divine. We finished with a sticky date dessert which again was top class. We highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back when we venture to Maroochydore again

Amazing food, excellent people, loved every minute and great value

Well Tori (the host) was a treat, the menu was delicious, and they even tweaked it for me to add extra seafood. Had the Wagu Rump, it was massive, topped with the best creamy garlic prawns and mornay bug. My wife had the calamari and she loved every mouthful. We drove over 1 hour each way to get here and will definitely be back. Top notch staff, fresh, tasty food and old school customer service. See you all on our next visit.

We enjoyed an excellent dinner with friends at Red Sea Restaurant on Friday night. We all had steaks that were cooked exactly as we had asked...the rib fillet with garlic scallop topper and mornay bug was spectacular. The staff were friendly and helpful...we will definitely be returning for another feed.
