You could walk past Orleans without even realising it was there. It’s a family-run restaurant on Duporth Ave with delicious food, friendly service and a great sound track in the background. We had the lunch specials for $18. The blackened fish with potato rosti was very good, perfectly cooked and delicious. The fried chicken was generous, crunchy and just the right amount of heat. The wait staff and chef have good knowledge of gluten free and cross contamination issues so as a coeliac I was well catered for. We highly recommend Orleans and will be back!

From service to food this was what I call amazing:) after many years of traveling and food experience and as an hospitality kid ( born and raise in a restaurant ) I can tell you this restaurant is passion , knowledge and love and what I call an experience . Thanks to the Italian waitress and to the chef who put all his passion and products into us plates . We Will come back for sure .

Well we were in for a treat. We chose the three course set menu $60 pp and found everything delicious. They served us two entrees to share then a generous serving of perfectly cooked Beef Cheeks and to complete the evening a chocolate and raspberry dessert. Allergies are catered for, the set menu is gluten free. Wines by the glass good but limited. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We had a delightful waitress who was friendly, efficient and helpful. Highly recommend.

Having read good reviews, we booked for this restaurant for lunch today. It's a dark and gloomy venue for lunchtime, but we persevered. The drinks were better than the food. I ordered a cocktail that nearly knocked me out, so that was good. However, having ordered the pork roulade with crackling, I was horrified to find that instead of crackling, some bright spark decided to serve up two miserable looking white coloured dehydrated things, not dissimilar to those disgusting prawn crackers that you find in cheap Chinese restaurants. I asked the waitress what they were. She didn't know so asked the kitchen. Came back with the news that this was pork crackling taken to a new level (her words) by dehydration. I commented that what they had done was take pork crackling down to a new low level. I couldn't eat it. Cardboard with the word 'crackling' written on it, would have been just as flavoursome. And I really expected more flavour from the pork too. It was edible, but I expected 'mouth watering' in a pace charging about $40 for a main course. It wasn't mouth watering. I would change butchers or take it off the menu.

The male table waiter was excellent- didn’t walk but ran to keep up with a private lunch event inside as well as 5 tables of customers on the outside section. He stayed cheerful, efficient and gave appropriate mini chats with each table of people. If I had a restaurant he is exactly the type of staffer that I would want. We were very keen to enjoy the tastes of Orleans as a nostalgic nod to where we met in USA. Husband declared the gumbo spicy with heat and flavour but not as he remembered his USA multiple gumbo experiences. My short rib was as described - fall apart tender and the flavours on the plate were perfect for my less adventurous palate. My gin fizz drink was delicious and Husband stated the red wine was very good. My dessert choice of brandy snaps was perfect and Husband enjoyed his chocolate mousse. The music had bits of Orleans cliche music but varied to include Sinatra and Elton John etc. I would encourage more Orleans style music to add to the expected ambiance. However, all the excellent service, flavoursome food and palate pleasing refreshments just couldn’t make up for the hideous intrusion of constant traffic noise - and I mean noise not just the hum of passing traffic. In a shared 10 Kph zone this was unexpected and some effort by Orleans with roll down blinds or shrubs may have reduced the echo/magnification of the vehicle noise against the building awning? Inside tables may have a far more pleasant experience

My cousin lives in Maroochydore and wanted to take me out for a girls night. Orleans was a great place to enjoy an intimate dinner, catching up on life. Gorgeous exposed brickwork on a feature wall, mood lighting; the atmosphere was very calming. I noticed light tones of jazz music which added to the cool vibes of the restaurant. It was so hard to choose what to eat as everything sounded divine. Choosing between beef, duck and chicken dishes took me at least five minutes. I settled for the beef cheeks and when they arrived they looked great! My first bite was heavenly: the beef was so tender and it just melted in my mouth. The sides were delicious and balanced the meal beautifully. I highly recommend this lovely place for dinner.

My wife and I had dinner in Orleans to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We ordered drinks and I chose a Pinot Gris at $13 for a glass. I can truly say that it was the worst Pinot Gris I have ever had. Very watery and bland. For food, my wife had the $42 lamb rack. The serve was very small (two chops) although I concede that this was stated on the menu. The meal was good but then it is pretty had to mess up lamb chops. I had the seafood gumbo. There was an acceptable amount of seafood but otherwise, it was not very good. Quite greasy with way too much tomato paste. Way too much liquid too and not nearly enough rice. And one measly piece of bread. It was more like a soup than a gumbo. Overall a very disappointing and expensive experience. There is not a chance that we would go back.

JUST WOW! Honestly we have eaten in many places around the world and spent good money on meals and that’s not to brag but this place is an absolute gem! The food is just 5* really is top notch couldn’t fault a dish, the flavours incredible good sizes portions, nice variety. They know what works, we had the goats cheese with honey and truffle oil with garlic bread 🤤🤤 then scallops perfectly cooked with bacon etc then the pork belly which is cooked to perfection. Maybe crispy pork belly as it is crunchy that was almost dehydrated and like a packet in the shop, that’s my only point and that’s me being fussy. Brilliant thankyou so much, the service also 10/10!

Seems an unusual fusion. French and American. I would have thought anyway! But holy heaven on a plate does this coupling work! Not only was the food incredible, but the setting, experience and service left the four of us hard pressed to recall a better ‘whole package’ dining experience. We sat inside in the delicately lit space and had the three course menu with wine matched to each course perfectly!! Standout course? Its a serious arm wrestle to choose with each delivering powerful pops of flavour and depth. Each dish was masterfully timed by the clearly experienced staff. We were reminded that dining out isn’t simply about the most impressive Instagram pic, it’s about the care and attention that comes with respecting the whole experience of dining! I’d go on, but you’ll think we are getting paid! 10/10!!

Have walked past Orleans on many occasions and always thought that it looked like it had a wonderful ambience. For this reason (and it’s great reputation for the quality of meals), I booked on 13 March for a table inside for 2 people for 21 April. I ordered the scallops and beef cheeks and both were amazing, highly recommended. Hubby ordered the pane bread and pork belly. The bread was really good but the pork belly was not enjoyed at all. I tried a piece myself and have to agree it was not pleasant. No worries, that happens and he would make a different choice next time. The wine list was good and the Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc very nice. The two waitresses were efficient but didn’t look happy and were not particularly friendly. What was extremely disappointing though was the table we were allocated, right next to the kitchen. Instead of being able to enjoy the background music we were serenaded by the banging and clattering of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, totally ruined the evening. I mentioned my disappointment to the waitress on paying, given that I booked so far in advance and the walk in couple just ahead of us were given a far better table. She then lied to me and said they had booked, sorry we were right behind them at the entrance and overheard them say they hadn’t. I do recommend the restaurant, just make sure you are not seated next to the kitchen.

Hi Kiwiozzies, Thank you for your honest review of your dinner with us. We appreciate the details you have left and will be sure to follow this up with our staff members who worked on the night. In regards to your meal, I have let the chef know about your experience with the pork belly and he will make sure this is up to it’s high standard as it should have been for you. From Supplier quality to prep, we will double check that the consistency of this dish is being upheld. I’m sorry that you didn’t like your allocated table. This table is requested quite a lot and we don’t tend to have ‘favourites’ as everyone prefers a different spot. The staff would have been more than happy to move you if you weren’t happy so please next time, just let them know. We want you to have a great experience with us and are happy to help how we can. I have spoken to the waitress you spoke to at the till and she said there was some confusion at the time over the ‘walkin’ table when discussing it with her. She definitely didn’t lie to you intentionally and I’m sorry that it came across this way. Upon booking for next time, make mention that you would prefer to be away from the kitchen and we will make sure to allocate a different seat for you. We look forward to seeing you again. Kind Regards, Brendan Bryant Owner of 'Orléans'

Wow. What a restaurant. We opted for the three course tasting menu and it was honestly one of the best three course meals I have ever had. On top of the amazing food was 5 star service. My water was always topped up and as soon as my drink was empty I was asked if I wanted another. I honestly couldn’t recommend a better venue. Do yourself a favour and dine here. You will not regret it.

We had the taster menu and everything was delicious. The courses started strong with an entree of warm crusty bread with goats cheese the consistency of butter, drizzled with honey and thyme scented truffle oil, which was unbelievably delicious. The prawns and the beef ribs were sumptuous as well. The decor was a creative fusion of distressed brick and smooth black which worked well, and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable with the mood being set by a selection of low key jivey music tracks. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive - our waitress recommended a cocktail and then came to check back with us that it was to our liking, which was very thoughtful. A great experience overall.

We were first time diners (with friends) at Orleans, and were hoping for fabulous food. We were not disappointed. The menu online matched the menu and food in the restaurant. Although the menu options are brief, the choices are interesting and delicious. The entrees such as scallops and tuna were pretty on the plate, and just as gorgeous to eat. Mains included beef cheeks, duck and seafood gumbo. When the conversation stops for the food, you know it's grabbed your attention! Service was just right; friendly, efficient and tolerant of our silly humour. Thank you Amber for enjoying our jokes, and more importantly, for your excellent service. A minor comment: we loved the ambience and mood lighting, however it was difficult to read the menu. Orleans is an upmarket restaurant, with pricing on the upper end. But... if you love and appreciate beautiful food in a contemporary setting, you will not be disappointed.

An exceptional experience for us. The atmosphere, service, attention to detail & did I mention the beef cheeks? Holy smokes.....! Liam, our chef was good enough to check that all was to our liking knowing that we were visiting for a special occasion. We shall return again in the near future as there's Seafood Gumbo on the menu. Or should I have Roast Duck a l‘Orangé?

I was goggled best restaurant in sunshine coast and it came up few restaurants. Orelans is close to our accommodation so we went there for dinner. Drive around this area but I didnt expect to find french cusine in this area. Me and my Partner both agree its very nice restaurnt like 'Hidden Gem" Bit pricey but foods were great. We both enjoyed Honey & Thyme Baked Goats Cheese as entrees. Main menu we had Duck Fat Confit Black Angus Porterhouse Steak and seafood gumbo. It was delicious. enjoyed red wine. service was great. Staffs are very friendly but professional. Definitely we will return!! Recommended!!
