Great food reasonably priced

I am teacher here in Innisfail. Its during the "lockdown" ... our support staff arranged with local restaurants for food to be ordered and delivered (or collected) from various places ... today it was Sapore. A huge parmigiana (should feed me for a week) and a large Cappuccino arrived on time as specified. Thank you Sapore for supporting us teachers, cooking and preparing a good feed - that I thoroughly enjoyed!

Best Italian seafood I've eaten in years

Honestly some of the best food I've had in forever. The seafood carbonara was perfect, not too creamy, full of seafood and flavour. We started with a Greek salad to share, it was fresh and a great size portion for two as an entree. The restaurant space is open and comfortable, loved the slab wood tables. Selection of cakes for desert was on point as well. 100% must try, We will be back next time we're in town xx

Friendly welcome and delicious fare for Sunday Lunch

We took a detour off the highway into Innisfail for lunch on Sunday as we travelled south along the Bruce Highway. We were welcomed at the front door and ushered to a table with a menu. The items all sounded so tasty that it was difficult to choose just one item each. Our delicious food arrived in good time as did our great coffees. I thoroughly recommend Sapore Di Italia for lunch!!

Dont bother

Went for breakfast this morning waited 35 mins for a toasted sandwich and then when we got our food pur order was wrong and wait another 15mins. When the order went back the kitchen staff obviously didnt realise we were sitting right there and were going off and swear because they got the order wrong. The chicken tasted funny and it wasnt till we pulled apart the sandwich that we realises the chicken was raw. We left immediately disgusted by this and there customer service and both of us have been vomiting since. This is disgusting.

Sapore Di Italia, Innisfail - a great find

In February this year (2024) whilst holidaying in Cairns, we decided to travel south to Innisfail – an area which we hadn’t previously explored. Arriving around 1pm we were both hungry and came across the Sapore Di Italia. What a great find – superb coffee and food. Very helpful staff and the owner kindly spent time with us (whilst we ate that superb food) and gave us a pocket history of the area and places to visit. If you are visiting (or driving past) Innisfail then call in at the Sapore Di Italia -you will not be disappointed. Next time we stay in Cairns, we’ll definitely take another trip to Innisfail and eat at the Sapore Di Italia again. Places of interest we visited:– The Babinda Boulders about 36km north of Innisfail, Josephine Falls – Wooroonooran National Park about 28km north of Innisfail and Etty Bay Beach about 17km south east of Innisfail – watch out for the Cassowaries.

There are some clear problems between the ordering and kitchen here. Ordered a cappuccino and white tea which they got wrong. Saw 2 other tables get incorrect food orders. My wife got her brekky but I had to wait 25 minutes for mine to arrive after I followed them up. The positives here are the drinks and food are very well prepared and tasted great. Once the ordering process is sorted, this will be a great spot.

Greeted with a friendly smile, order taken and Covid rules adhered to efficiently. The table was wiped down again after we were seated, even though it looked very clean. Our order arrived quickly and both meals were fresh and delicious. Mine especially had a true Italian flavour, so good. Very pleasant and satisfying experience overall. Thank you

Scrumptious food with very reasonable prices.

The food and coffees were delicious. Pasta carbonara for my hubby whilst I had calamari with rocket salad. Lots of loud lunchtime chatter, great service and the meals were hot. I also couldn’t resist a homemade biscotti😋. We’ll definitely be returning soon.

THE place to go for breakie in Innisfail

Driving through two and wanted something satisfying and quick to eat. Service was terrific. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Food was delicious and so reasonably priced. Coffee was spot on too. Definitely recommend.

Overcooked / overpriced

Menu stated small breakfast at $8.50 - 1 egg on one small piece of sourdough and one slice bacon Problem - extra $3 for the one slice of bacon in fine print - very misleading - so paid $11.50 after ordering Asked for soft poached eggs got over cooked eggs and overcooked bacon - very minimal and very dry VERY DISAPPOINTING

Fabulous coffee

It was a no-brainer going to an Italian restaurant for a good coffee. It was excellent. We didn’t have time to eat here, but the food looked really good. We will return for a meal next time we are in the area.

Great place, great people. Food was delicious. Will definitely be back often. Do require a Tiramisu please. Nice to know Innisfail has come up a grade. Watch out for tourists!
