Popped in here at lunchtime and was delighted by friendly service and beautiful location and beer garden. The veggie burger was delicious and the chips sooo tasty. Friendly, warming atmosphere and would definitely go again!

Lovely clean, modern accommodation in the centre of Youlgreave. Use of a private patio as well as the main outdoor area belonging the pub. Landlady friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Food delicious, service top notch. Do your planning before you go as we had no phone...signal and WiFi very poor. Youlgreave itself is a great base with a good selection of pubs and cafes.More

Pre booked table for evening meal Lovely staff. Traditional pub. Only 1 chef on so warned about long kitchen delays. Probably only a 40-45 minute wait. Good vegetarian options & really tasty. Unfortunately coleslaw not vegan added to plate tho. Otherwise really good puddings too...& local beers.More

Called in at this Pub for lunch whilst on holiday in the area. It was a lovely sunny day so we were disappointed to be told that they weren’t serving food outside, despite having several picnic tables in the garden. However we sat outside and...had a drink and ordered food which the waitress said she would let us know when it was ready to be served. This she did and we went inside where our dog was made very welcome. Both of us opted for the burger and chips which was nicely presented and cooked well. The chips were particularly tasty, my partners comment was “I think these are the best chips I’ve ever tasted “ and then went into a discussion about how the chef had cooked them. I think he is now going to be experimenting on how to get his chips as good.More

Our party of 4 thoroughly enjoyed the local sausages + mash, salmon and the superb steak & ale pie with wonderful pastry. This was followed by 3 of the signature waffle desserts and a delicious jam sponge with delightful custard. On top of this, the...pub offers Timothy Taylor's Landlord, Abbot Ale and Old Speckled Hen. And the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. What more can you ask for in a beautiful village like Youlgreave?More

Thank you for two lovely evenings here. The gardens were great for drinks before or after a meal but when we went we had to eat indoors. Plenty of variety on the menu - thank you and staff gave us a friendly welcome. Safe, efficient...and friendly We walked there but there is plenty of space for parkingMore

We were staying in a holiday cottage in youlgreave over the weekend, and decided to eat at the farmyard Inn,on both the Saturday and Sunday. The choice of food was excellent on both days, with a member of our parties dietary requirements taken into consideration. The quality...of the Sunday lunch joints were enjoyed by the group, and we were informed they are purchased from a local butcher in the village of tissington, the Yorkshire puddings were of a good size, and the roasted vegetables were divine. A thoroughly enjoyable experience...thank you.More

We booked for Sunday Lunch having read the reviews on here. It is obviously a popular place as it was fully booked. We had booked in advance. It was, however, disappointing. The quality of the meal was not great, the meat was dry and the...yorkshire puddings were really overcooked. It wasn't the most welcoming place either.More

On a walking holiday in Youlgreave village with three pubs ... but the Farmyard Inn was our watering hole after each day walking the hills with Landlord, Abbot and Speckled Hen on draught. Food was excellent, well-presented and very good value but booking is essential...as it's a small pub.More

We visited the Farmyard Inn last night as a family of six, 2 adults, 2 children and grandparents! It’s an amazing village pub, the food was amazing, I had the potato cake and it was delicious, my partner had the gammon and the onion rings...were massive, father in law had the pie and he said the steak were really big chunks (not scrappy little pieces that you sometimes get in pies) The staff are very polite and friendly, the atmosphere in the pub was really good! We sat in the Snug and had a lovely table along the back wall! Will definitely be returning to this traditional pub with the best grub :)More
