Fantastic dinner yesterday, amazing food, beautifully cooked meat, best meal for a very long time. Young staff were all lovely, attentive to our needs, would recommend in a heartbeat for a real treat.

Amazing food! And very reasonably priced. Lynne was a dream!! Such a lovely lady, very attentive, and gave us an insight on the venue and history.

Five of us visited for lunch yesterday and had a wonderful meal. Food and service excellent even though they were extremely busy. Sat in the elk room and had a great experience throughout. Definitely will return.

Second time visiting for food. Probably the best place for Sunday lunch in the whole of the UK. Faultless.

We had an amazing meal at The Gunton Arms last night, all 3 courses for us both were absolutely delicious. The highlight was probably dessert, treacle tart and clotted cream and the chocolate mousse, very dense but velvety! The surroundings are fantastic, very eclectic, modern...neon word signs, paintings and various decorative bits and bobs everywhere. The Elk Room with the fire looked wonderful. We were in the other dining room which is also very nice. Regrettably we were at a table next to a couple who monopolised the waitress, who was exceptionally nice and polite but became distracted by the constant conversation at this table. We were a later sitting so by 915 we were the only two tables and it was very distracting having them talk loudly across the room to the waitress. At the end of the meal when she came with the card machine she actually continued her conversation with them while settling our bill which was really just a bit rude. That being said, the restaurant is not responsible for socially unaware diners! Maybe just a bit more awareness from the waitress/waiters. Would highly recommend the Gunton Arms for out of this world food without a doubt.More

I tried to book a table by email and was offered a booking which was withdrawn when I replied trying to identify if they had a more suitable time, I replied within an hour of their response. This is very poor service for a restaurant...of this supposed standardMore

Absolutely fantastic meal at The Gunton Arms this evening. Staff were friendly and it definitely adds to the experience to be in the Elk Room watching the chef cook on the fire. Make sure you have room for dessert because they were just as amazing...as the mouthwatering steak. Enjoy!More

Great location in a deer park. As they were fully booked in the restaurant we opted for the garden. Limited menu on the bar menu. Three starters, mains and desserts. Beer was good, service efficient and Cromer crab salad good, plain and simple. Desserts we...had were very tasty. A worthwhile visit.More

It is not child friendly as there is pornographic, homophobic and racist “art” on all walls including the toilets.

Yes. But there are some dining areas that are not available for dogs. Best check with the restaurant.
