Good food, great craft beer selection!

Stopped here for lunch while touring downtown Statesville. Our waitress/bar tender was awesome and very helpful and took her time to answer our questions about the food and beer selections! My wife got the California Burger and I got the house made chicken strips and the Broad Street fries. As an app we got the breaded mushrooms. Everything was great and large enough portions. They also have a 24 count NC draft beer list. Lots to choose from. Prices were reasonable. Quite an extensive "bar food" menu! We will come back if we are in town again!

Top of the line

Having read previously fine reviews, we chose to drive a little distance from our hotel to check things out - and were so happy that we did. Great "build your own" burgers with high quality beef cooked to order and with a huge combination of toppings. The staff were quite capable, efficient and friendly. Our server very ably guided us through an excellent selection of beers on tap for what was a nice choice. Reasonable prices, comfortable setting. Highly recommended.

Burgers are great!

This is basically a bar with bar food. The burgers are great and you can get them in a bowl of lettuce instead of a bun. Beer selection is good. It's pretty crowded on weekends but worth the wait if that's what you want.

Don't get chicken

Mine is a mixed review. So I read the reviews before I went to this restaurant and I heard great things about their burgers as well as their fries. The selection of burgers was vast and very affordable especially considering how expensive good burgers are these days. I have to say we were very impressed with the burger. But one of us purchased a burger and one of us purchased a fried chicken sandwich because it looked so interesting with all the toppings they offered on top of it. I was particularly excited about trying to chicken and the fries that people had bragged about. But I was extremely disappointed in the chicken. . I honestly thought that it was the oil but when I viewed the menu online I did not even see any type of fish item as an option. So I tried the chicken itself off of the bun and without any toppings on it and yes it was the meat itself which kind of scared me that I might get sick later. The fries are very very poor quality and although they seem to be home cut they were very thin and very limp and tasted burnt we did a substitution on one of the plates for onion rings and only got two medium size onion rings but nevertheless they tasted much better than the fries did even though the portion size of onion rings was pathetic. Usually I only do reviews if I've had a really bad experience somewhere or a really good one and the reason for this review is mainly because of the fishy tasting chicken that I wanted to warn people about. I will have to admit that the service was very good as they were very attentive and not just one of the waitresses we had other stuff in and check on us. The end result is that we did not get sick that evening but once my husband also toasted because she taste it absolutely confirmed to me that it wasn't just my thoughts. Maybe we caught the fries on a bad day and I would recommend that someone else try this place but I honestly believe that you will regret it if you do try the chicken.

Disappointing experience

We had a large party including two 5 year olds. It was a long wait initially until the food came out, and then only half the table received their meals including only 1 of the children meals. 30 minutes later the rest of food came out. Now we have an upset and hungry 5 yr old, along with several hungry adults. Why would you 1. not at least bring the children’s meals out first and together? 2. Take 30 minutes between meal delivery when the WHOLE table ordered at the exact same tine? 3. Why when the second set of dinners came out they were not even warm? Very poor service and experience. Will not be back.

Fresh, Fast, & Delicious!

Service was fast and food was fresh and delicious. Their fried pickle chips were the best we've ever had. Our daughter ordered the "Southern Twang" chicken sandwich with fried chicken and it was huge! The waitress told us that their food is so fresh they pride themselves on not having a freezer or a microwave. They have the option of sitting outside in front of the restaurant under shade trees which is very nice. We plan to stop here every time we pass the area from now on. It's just 2 mi off the freeway and well worth it.

Very poor management

Please take your business elsewhere in Statesville. This restaurant is filled with poor management and is very in consistent with outdoor dining. Manager decides he doesn’t want to serve outdoor patrons at the outdoor tables on a whim. Good is ok but if you can’t eat inside and you want ok food, it hit or miss. Poor Customer Service

The service was vey disappointing. We were a group of 9 adults and 4 kidscelebrating a family birthday. It took 30 minutes for the waitress to even take our drink orders and an hour before she took food orders and I had to ask her to please take our order. Then another 40 minutes to get our food. Refills on drinks wasn’t ever offered either. The restaurant wasn’t that busy either. The food was good but I’m not sure I’ll go back.

Good food, nice staff -- No Changing Station

My family and I (5 plus a baby) went Fri night. The place was festive (decorated for Christmas), there were tables immediately available, and the wait staff were attentive. I think there must have been a lot of people seated just before us, as it took a bit for the food to come. (It wasn't an unreasonable wait though for a Fri night). The food was good. There a little heavy handed with the Old Bay on the fries, but it was a nice meal and we were happy. When it came time to change the diaper of our 2month old grandson, we were very disappointed indeed. They don't have even one changing station in any of their bathrooms. The waitress expressed her regret at this & said it had been mentioned before, but still nothing was installed. If you'd like to serve families, please *install a couple of changing stations*, one in the men's & one in the women's. We had to put paper towels on the floor and then a changing pad & change his diaper on the floor. Not acceptable!

Everything you want from a craft beer and burger joint

I was in Statesville for a conference and had lunch here before I left town. Plain and simple, here I had the best meal of the whole trip. Bars and restaurants known for their burgers and craft beers have set the bar fairly high no matter where you go because of how popular the concept is. Broad Street Burger Co. is among the top ranks. PRetty good craft beer selection, friendly staff, and of course the burger was great and perfectly cooked. This is the place to eat if you are in the area. Oh and - ONION RINGS. They are huge and crispy and worth a side order!

A great burger establishment…

We were staying in the Statesville area visiting family. Our local family members spoke highly of this particular restaurant. We ordered several appetizers and they were all delicious. I highly recommend their onion rings, they are big big and delicious. I had the four alarm burger with slaw and it was a good choice. Our sever was very attentive to our group. I would definitely dine here again in the future. Highly recommend.

Broad Street Burger has very good food and nice atmosphere, but most of all they have Kayla an exceptional young lady as a server. She is bright and cheerful and obviously enjoys providing excellent customer service. She is very attentive, courteous, and appreciative of all those she serves! Thank you Kayla!

Great Food and Better Service

The nicest aspect of Broad Street Burger is the down home feel. From the Mural painted on the back wall of a 1970's era marching band to the oak hard wood floors the atmosphere is cozy. The food is very good and the service exceptional. Jess, Lauren and Melissa you are the best.

Understaffed and mediocre

We stopped into this place on our way to Atlanta. Immediately noted how understaffed they were during the lunch rush. Got a table, ordered immediately because of how busy it was. Food was okay (fries are a standout), service was nonexistent. Witnessed people leaving because they weren't acknowledged or seated. The 2 servers/hosts were running ragged just trying to deal with everything. Bathroom was gross. Needs more staff!

Lunch on a Saturday.

We decided to start trying our local spots in the downtown areas. Great burgers and beverage menu. Can get a burger in a bowl if you do not want the bun. Fast service and reasonable price. Parking available on the street or guest parking lots.
