Great Food & Experience

During our visit to the Niagara region we visited Sunset Grill after learning about it from family who lives on Sunset Island. We were thankful for the recommendation. The food was fantastic; great portions, fresh, and hot. We ordered take-out and it was ready on time. We had the calamari appetizer, haddock dinner, captains seafood dinner and for the kids- wings, tenders, and fries. Started our trip off excellent! Dining in and outside was available and everyone was friendly and attentive. Thank you Sunset Grill! We will be back!

GREAT OUTDOOR PATIO ALOT OF ROOM RIGHT BY WATER

My husband and I were away for a weekend and were told about Sunset Grill, so we decided to try it out. We went one day for a couple drinks but it was kinda yucky and chilly out, we had a couple drinks and sat by the outdoor fire pit then decided to leave as it was getting damp. So the next day it was gorgeous and they were having live music so we decided to go back. We walked in to the hostess table and an older woman (I think her name was Meredith) we told her we wanted to go to the outside for a few drinks, she said ok sure there's room out there just go and grab a table. Well when we got out to the patio we tried to sit and were told all the tables we wanted to sit at were for dinner patrons only and even the fire pit chairs were full........... Well your server Brandi B over heard our conversation, she stepped in and said why don't you wait off to the side and as soon as one of my bar tables opens up I will take care of you (we weren't hungary as we had literally just finished eating) so we waited less than 10 minutes and her one table got up so she did as she said she would put us at that table, it was in the shade, then another of her high top tables opened up and she asked us if we wanted a table in the sun, so we did move to the sunny table, had a great view of the music was a great thing she did, taking care of a customer who was not happy with what they were told when they walked in. She was great she was slammed busy but never forgot about us and she kept checking to see if we needed anything,,,,,,,,,,,,,we had several drinks then we did order a couple apps while we watched the band. When we went to check out we paid with a credit card but gave her cash and tipped her 32% as she was amazing made sure we enjoyed our time at Sunset Grill and didn't have a bad experience. I wish we had a place where we live by the water that was as much fun as this place was. We had a great experience (thanks to Brandi) and if we lived in the area would for sure return over and over again, it was a great setting, and we enjoyed ourselves both times we visited !! If you are in the area for sure stop. The clams casino were delicious with a capital "D"

Ever since they expanded within the restaurant, the price of their food went up. We don't eat there anymore. We use to eat there once a week when we went on Sundays for the concerts. It's a shame. Now we either eat before or after we get home. Too much money!!!!

Good, but not great

We sat on the patio which was nice, overlooking the marina. The server was good and helpful, but the food took an age in coming and when it did it was rather mediocre, considering the price. Either they need to drop the prices or improve the food’s quality. However, there isn’t too much choice of where to eat in Wilson —- perhaps they know this!!

Fabulous Dining Experience, great service, food and ambience

Every summer our corvette club selects a restaurant to cruise to and this year it was the Sunset Grill! They graciously accepted our reservation for 40 people on an early Sunday afternoon visit. It was a huge success as everyone in the group was blown away by the whole event. We were seated on the spacious outdoor patio overlooking the water. Besides having a beautiful view was the added bonus of being served great food. Everyone in the group raved about their meals, the quality of the food and the most generous portions. Of particular note was the excellent service we received: the servers were attentive, our orders taken promptly and the food delivered as ordered. Quite a feat for a group this size. Special shout out to to Michael, the manager who gave us his personal attention and went out of his way to make sure all went smoothly. How wonderful it was to be made to feel like a truly valued customer. We will definitely be back..and won’t be waiting for the club to make an official return visit.

Wonderful banquet experience!

We hosted an event in the banquet facility. Dominique and her team did an outstanding job! My guests commented on how great the food, service, facility, and views were! They made our role as hosts a real pleasure!

Fabulous..on all counts

Wow! just Wow! We had a group of 50 club members go to The Sunset Grill for a Sunday lunch. Reservations had been made well in advance and the manager couldn't have been more gracious and accommodating. They took special care to make sure we could all be seated together comfortably, our servers were courteous, efficient and served with a smile. Orders were taken and considering the size of our group, the food was served promptly. The food was absolutely fabulous, portion sizes were generous and can you believe they allowed us to have separate checks? The setting of the restaurant is absolutely beautiful, right on the water overlooking the marina. They have a large outdoor patio and bar with plenty of seating. We were lucky enough to be able to catch the live music out on the patio. This place is a gem. Will go back in a heartbeat!

Bad experience

30 minutes after order told that special was out. Another 30-40 minute delay for second order. Had to get owner to bring order sitting in kitchen. No adjustment to bill.

Bring a jacket because it’s cooler by the water, food is excellent, service was good, a bit slow to get the food, cost is a bit pricey. I did really enjoy this salad.

Too Expensive

In my opinion it was about double what the price should have been. The food was good.... not great, but good. I would not go back. An example is they charged me I think 8 dollars for plastic solo cup of beer. We spent well over $100 for two people for an average meal.

Just danced!

Great deck for people watching, talking to boaters and dancing. Bartenders are hustling and friendly. We did not eat dinner here.

Delicious and Entertaining Waterfront Dining

2 couples went for a Saturday dinner. We arrived at 5pm and were able to score a table on the outdoor patio overlooking the marina. Great server, Amy was attentive and able to answer menu questions we had. Loved both the Lobster/Shrimp mac n cheese and Seafood Lasagna. A band started played about 7pm so it got loud and crowded on the patio, but we stayed for desert and cocktails. Felt it was overpriced so unfortunately will not be making this a regular event

Decent service, can be very busy and loud. The place is clean with great atmosphere. The views along the harbor are quaint. The outdoor seating is nice. The outdoor bar is convenient and the dining experience indoor can be cozy.
