Lovely restaurant. The food was superb. Pork belly was amazing and the Thai curry mussels and house fries were super good. The flavour on the fries was great. The waitress was really efficient and very helpful. Will definitely go back. A lot of locals eat...there too.More

My wife has a number of food allergies and the attentive and friendly staff at Saby's were only too happy to adjust the meals to suit. So much so that we ate there every night of our stay in Whitianga.

Waitresses were attentive, friendly and professional, timing was spot-on, drinks were great and the meals were excellent. Topped off with a pleasant outlook over the esplanade and harbour. Nice one.

My husband and I travel to Whitianga regularly and Saby's Kitchen is our favourite restaurant! The food is always excellent as is the service. It is very popular, so it pays to book for dinner. I highly recommend Sayby's.

We went here for dinner. I had the Salmon and my wife had the steak. Both were very nice and presented well. Service was friendly and the view out to the wharf and estuary was very nice. Recommended

Needs a bit of help. The food was good but very slow. The staff need direction. They are young and trying their hardest but we were told there wasn’t the special available and then a large table after us ordered it. The food was also...inconsistent. My friend order the same as me and got 3 pieces of pork where I got two. I think they just need to work on a few things and then it would be an awesome restaurant not just an ok one.More

We had an enjoyable evening here, but I think that was more to do with the company than the ambience. It does feel more like dining in a restaurant belonging to a motel/hotel. Service was very good and menu was enticing. We all ordered the...Beef Wellington, which is a tricky dish to do perfectly - pastry has to be cooked, but not to overcook the beef. Unfortunately it was a little overdone, I still like mine a bit pink, but it was a beautiful piece of meat. The meal came on a ridiculously small rectangular plate and there was no sauce, just a small portion of a warm Indian spiced tomato chutney. The potato croquette and few vegetables were average. The whole plate was begging for a jus or rich gravy. It was a pleasant meal, but I guess I was expected more for $37.More
