I lived only a short drive from this restaurant until recently, and this was mine & my friends' absolute favourite regular spot. Adorable on the outside and inside, with a sweet little farm-like fresh produce interior, friendly and helpful staff, and great Vegan options. The vegan Philly cheese steak sandwich is mind blowing, and the buffalo tempeh wings are a must! Oat milk also available for your coffee, which is bonus points in my opinion. I would recommend booking/ calling ahead, especially on Sunday as brunch is a busy time period for them. But they have been helpful to me in the past and let me sit at the bar! Will miss you dearly, Sweet grass, but I'll be back one day!

The manager and wait staff were so friendly. We stopped in on a Saturday morning for brunch and the place was filled - and no tables were due to become available because of upcoming reservations. We were informed that we could wait for bar seating, which we happily did. However, we did not realize that there was a wait list for bar seating and the next available seats were reserved for other patrons. After several minutes, the manager realized that we hadn't been informed about the bar wait list and felt bad that we had been waiting without that knowledge. So, he was able to rearrange some of the dining room tables to create a space for us - right by the window! Really unexpected and lovely!! He went above and beyond - and we were very grateful! Once we sat down, the waitress was incredibly friendly and the food was delicious!! A wonderful experience all around. Look forward to returning next time we're in Tarrytown!

With so few options for vegetarians and vegans, Sweet Grass really fills an important niche. But all the food here is first-rate, including the many non-vegetarian options. I especially like that the food is naturally sourced from local farms and other purveyors and they tell you on a blackboard where everything is from. Staff is also great.

Having had pretty good dining experiences in the past, my fiance and I made a reservation and ordered Sunday brunch at Sweet Grass. The Lion's Mane Philly Cheeze Steak sandwich was fantastic with Lions Mane mushrooms. Except it came on ordinary thinly sliced "rustic" bread rather than a more convenient sub roll or bun. Otherwise excellent. The chickpea "egg" avocado, pico de gallo Tartine I ordered was on a similar "rustic" bread so thick, it wouldn't fit in my mouth. We asked our server for a steak knife to cut it in half, the butter knife wasn't cutting the stiff, 3 inch high crust. All the toppings fell off. The grill marks were there on the quarter loaf I had on my plate, but the bread was cold and hard. Unappetizing. The manager came out and explained to me that it was "rustic" bread, and that is the way it should be. He then offered me more rustic bread with jam, if I should prefer. No, thank you. No discount, no apologies. The toppings were great, I left the bread on my plate.

My daughter eats only vegan and gluten free food so this place is an excellent option. We all enjoyed our meals! I had the black bean/poblano burger, and I could taste the ingredients which is a first. My husband and niece loved their French toast, and we all gobbled up the French fries!

First time visit and I wished that we lived closer but it was a great spot to meet up with my sister and share some family stories. The Carrot Lemongrass Soup is outstanding and could be a meal in itself with a full bowl and some bread. My wife had the bean soup and thought it was terrific. The Cheeseburger was also good but a little messy to eat although cooked to perfection. No room for dessert but the French Press Coffee was just the right touch to finish our lunch. Service was as good as the food.

We went there last weekend and were surprised to see many new items on the menu. Great vegan options , and they also made sure all our allergies were kept in mind. The chef did an excellent job, preparing the dishes. Each dish was simple but had great flavors. The vegan dessert was just amazing! Amanda, our server, went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect!

Delicious outdoor brunch! The bacon is to die for: thick and chewy. The gazpacho was totally delicious. They have a full bar which made my guest happy as she likes a Campari and soda. Our server took extra time to find the Campari which is apparently not often ordered. Nice tables outside.

The food was fresh and well prepared. The burgers were prepared as we asked and they were delicious. You must try the eggplant appetizer; it was so different and tasty (they were addictive)! The service was very professional and efficient. We didn’t feel crowded at all!

My wife and I were joined by a friend who had been here many times in the past. After touring a local historic landmark, she insisted on coming here for a late Sunday brunch. We had reservations for 2:30 pm and they were honored on time. The restaurant has a nice trendy vibe going with a bar area and outdoor seating. My wife ordered the farmers breakfast, I had the rustica French Toast, a side of smoked bacon, and coffee, and our friend ordered the salmon sandwich which came with French fries. The French toast consisted of two very big thick slices of rustica bread smothered in blueberries and strawberries. Real maple syrup. Excellent. Big portion of bacon but it was well done and cooked a while ago. Still very tasty. As a coffee snob, I would say the coffee was very good. My wife enjoyed her farmers breakfast with scrambled eggs and veggies. The Salmon sandwich held up well in the bread, was tasty, and the fries were good enough. Service was excellent and friendly. Prices were very reasonable. The restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Tarrytown. Great location. Parking can be found in a public lot since on the street parking is tough. Great choice by our friend!

Traveling along I-287 on a road-trip we stopped in Tarrytown for dinner and very pleased that we chose Sweet Grass as our spot for dinner. We loved it so much we stopped in for lunch several days later on our return trip! Excellent menu, great service, and overall comfortable vibe. High marks for their Sweet potato quinoa burger! I’m not a fan of non-meat burgers; however, this one is absolutely delicious!

We ate lunch here whilst visiting on a day-trip to Sleepy Hollow. The food and service was great and there was a good selection of drinks (would recommend the donut cider). We came on a sunday and reserved a table in advance. This is a popular place and people who had not reserved were were waiting/getting turned away so I would recommend booking ahead. Good options if gluten-free.

Excellent dishes with good taste. We've eaten here a few times now. We are vegetarian. We started with the arancini, which was visually okay but tasted great. We then had the heirloom tomato salad, the burrata which came with awesome infused grapes, and then the fried heirloom tomato main course. It was excellent with nice pickled garnish, other veggies, tasty sauce and some quinoa. We liked it all. We sat down around 8pm on a Saturday. Service was fast and friendly.

My husband and I try to stick to a vegan diet as much as possible when eating out so when I heard about this restaurant I was super excited. Although not a strictly vegan restaurant, they have MANY MANY options to choose from. The Celeriac" Wings may be one of the best vegan things I've ever eaten. We also had the vegan Fettucine Alfredo which was also great. My only regret is not ordering dessert. You should definitely make a reservation because it seems to be a popular spot.

Excellent food and service. This is an especially good spot for vegan and vegetarian food. Good selection of drinks and smoothies. Despite being in a strip mall, inside atmosphere is engaging. People are friendly and welcoming and service was attentive without being intrusive.
