Aug 12, 2020 - ordered take for our family and I must say our meal was delicious. Ordered a Greek Salad with grilled chicken on the side. The salad dressing was delicious, it was very light not a heavy dressing. Also, we ordered a side on Pita bread, I used it to sop up the salad dressing on my plate, YUM! However, we decided against ordering the Greek pastry called Baklava because of the cost of $5.95 per slice, beside way add the extra calories. All and all, will order from here again and will try something different. Note, you should not have a problem finding metered parking on the street.

While we were waiting for our meals, the server presented us with a basket of very good pita pieces. We ordered the moussaka platter and the gyro platter. Both selections were outstanding. The moussaka was very light considering it has ground beef, eggplant, and potatoes in a white sauce. The eggplant was very fresh and cooked too perfection. The gyro platter was not the typical gyro. Instead, it was served as a meal and not as a sandwich. There was a large amount of the sliced beef with tzatziki sauce. We selected the french fries as a side order. The sliced beef was cut to the perfect thickness. Both entrees were served with a large Greek salad. It could have been ordered as a meal it was so large. The Greek salad was excellent. The service was excellent: fast, attentive, and efficient. Lefteris is located in downtown Tarrytown. It is located at the northeast corner of Route 9 and Broadway, the two main streets in Tarrytown. We, only, noticed on street parking near the restaurant. There is a parking lot on Broadway, a few blocks from the restaurant towards the Hudson River.

Stumbled upon this charming corner restaurant in Tarrytown on a day visit. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Quick and gracious wait staff always at the ready to get you what you want. A wide variety of appetizers, salads, soups, entrees and generous portions of food. Everything our group of 5 ordered was delicious; so much so that we kept passing around tastes of our various choices. I wish we had this restaurant at home in Maryland!

This place was highly recommended. I’ve been to great Greek restaurants and either this place had an off day (lunch) or it is way overrated. I almost tried everything. The Saganaki cheese appetizer was watery (covered in liquid), warm not hot despite arriving with the flame, and the cubes of cheese were evident and unmelted. The Moussaka looked amazing but was bland and tasteless. It seemed overcooked. We were one of the early lunch customers and I wonder if this wasn’t reheated. The waiter was a bit rude at first and the service was slow but he did let me taste the Souvlaki meat which was very good as was the Greek salad but based on the traditional dishes (Saganaki and Mussaka) I don’t get the great ratings. This in fact was the worst Greek restaurant I can recall in at least 50 plus years. We will absolutely not return.

Typically, restaurants are judged on food, service, value and ambiance. The food has not changed much. It's good. The newly expanded space is welcoming and they've increased prices as most restaurants. However, what has changed is not having Bobby around to manage the place, The new character has no personality and is at best rude which makes going to Lefteris unattractive.

I had a really great lunch here with friends today. It’s located right on the corner of the street with a cute inside decor. We got there around 1130 before it got too crowded (so no res needed) and I was really glad we got there when we did because it got crowded fast! We actually got our times miscommunicated with our friends so we waited about 30 minutes and everyone was really friendly which I really appreciated. Luckily it wasn’t busy at the time. We got the gyro platter with fries and salad, falafel platter, rice on the side, hummus, saganaki cheese balls, and baklava. Everything came out very quickly and tasted great. I LOVED the salad dressing and would come back just for that. I’m tempted to knock it one star because there were SO many gnats around our table it was almost unbearable. I’d give it another try though and hope for no more gnats. I’d also not get the baklava again because it really wasn’t as amazing as I expected.

We stayed over in Tarrytown on the way home from Martha's Vineyard. After driving all day, we asked at our hotel for a recommendation for a restaurant that delivered. After considering several choices, we decided on Lefteris. The menu is extensive with vegetarian alternatives to traditional Greek favorites. Our meals were absolutely delicious, from appetizers to dessert. The portions were huge and the entrees included large Greek salads and a bag of pita bread that was warm and yummy. The seasonings were flavorful and authentic. My only regret is that Lefteris is too far from my home in Southern Maryland or I would frequent there often.

Ordered to-go pre-lawn concert and specified NO MAYO OR FETA on one sandwich. Waited 10 minutes for our order (after several orders were delivered). When we got to our concert, there was mayo all over the sandwich. Called them and asked for a credit on our card- it took 15 minutes of haggling with them! BTW, the chicken on both dishes was dry, leathery and almost inedible.

Our timing was tight. The wait for a table meant we'd be late for our evening engagement. We decided to place a "to-go" order. The to-go station (using a separate doorway) was like a well oiled machine. We had a chance to peek in the kitchen; it was as if all of the staff were dancing to a beautifully choreographed dance of service. Our meal was prepared in 15 minutes, as they estimated. This is noteworthy, as the to-go line, too, was quite long! Portions were plentiful. The Spanikopita was divine. Greek Salad was prepared with fresh foods. The meal was well worth what we paid. So, what did I learn? Allow plenty of time if I'd like to dine in. Make reservations (if they take them), or go during an unpopular hour, perhaps on a weekday evening.

We've eaten here numerous times and everything is always delicious. Luckily, we were staying nearby in Tarrytown and had another great meal delivered to our hotel. The octopus appetizer is always a hit and the 4 square appetizer plate (believe that's the name) was tasty. They sent an entire bag of pita bread!!! The greek salads are huge, as are all the portions. This is well worth the wait.

Had dinner tonight with family. Owner extremely cordial and helpful. Food start to finish delicious. Socially distant tables and great dinner. Appetizers (pita with different dips, octopus), main meals(falafel, gyro, and lamb chops and chicken), and delicious desserts. Easy drive from Bergen County. Highly recommend. I live in Bergen County and wanted to try something different. Great surprise, can't wait to return.

I’m not really a Greek food afficionado. I’m really kind of a fussy eater but they make some great stuff here. Start with their salads which are excellent. Saganaki is a great appetizer. Gyros are awesome. They have a Greek platter that’s wonderful that gives you a sampling of a bunch of dishes including pasticcio which is Greek lasagna. They always have some fresh fish. Prices are reasonable. Service is good.

July 2023, love coming here. We ordered take out. Had the Greek Salad, with extra Grilled Chicken on the side for the salad, and their salad dressing. We also ordered extra Pita Bread, and ordered the Chicken with rice Lemon Soup that was delicious. All and all, would come here again when we are in Tarrytown. Plus, you can’t beat the prices. The only drawback is the Metered Parking on the street, you may have a hard time finding a spot in the front of the restaurant.

Extensive menu including seafood salads and meats. Something for everyone. Staff is pleasant and accommodating. Spacious indoor dining as well as sidewalk tables. Tender pita bread and juicy kebabs. The stuffed shrimp was tasty with choice of sides including rice fries and variety of vegetables.

Nice spot for an evening meal in the summer. Food is good and portions large. Ordered the Lamb Souvlaki Platter and it was except that the meat was beef not Lamb. We were short on time and heading to a show so I didnt bother to challenge the waiter to determine if it was a mistake or an intentional substiitution of beef for more expensive lamb. Meat was nicely cooked to order but the traditional marinated flavors and herbs were very weak. Other dishes were correct.
